We were disappointed in the placement of the water softener compared to the garage options we selected and how it looked in the model home. This was somewhat resolved to the best they could. It would be nice to have a manual for the home. There are so many smart options that we have still been unable to take advantage of and set up due to lack of manuals/instructions. The builder contact has been great. The communication has been fairly good to date, but there is still lots of follow up that needs to happen.

I've had several issues on the house with the most recent as a result of poor craftmanship and laziness of a contractor not caulking/taping the seams of the walls and ceiling which has resulted in cracking. I am worried more will show up and I wish [name removed] Homes would honor these damages despite after a year of ownership. The contractors they've used have also been a hit or miss. Some contractors dont show up at all and wasted my time.

It isn't a dislike or like but rather the items that have had to have a follow up. Smart light feature in the kitchen, shed isn't built and random electrical issues

It took an awful long time. Feb 28th to Nov 29. Other than that, everything was great.

Freddy Boberg had us hooked on the home from the first-time we walked through the model serenity. With all the amenities included in the pricing. It looked like a option for us. We were happy that after we decided on a home (7341 Walkers Loop) we were able to get it even thought we had to adjust plans due to trying to get the closing cost funds. One thing that upset me early on was the fact that for our earnest money, we were given the incorrect name to make the money order out to and that caused to have to wait for 20+ days to get our money back and pay a fee for cancelling the order. When it came to the contract part, there were a few mistakes on the contract including pricing, naming, and a tile adjustment that looked to us like an upgrade, but was explained to be a change in material cost. After those were remedied we moved on to dealing directly with our first Loan Estimator Joe Bass. We had a poor time with our first Loan Estimator Joe Bass. While there was some bad timing with him from vacations and getting sick, I constantly felt like he was distracted and slow to respond to our questions. This is after he explicitly asked me to text him instead of using email, and I still felt his response time was lacking. It would take sometimes multiple days to hear back and/or multiple asks of the same questions. I also felt like he did not explain all options to us properly (specifically on the types of loans we can get [not even mentioning the First-Time Buyer Conventional with 3% down which is the one we choose]) and we had to compel him to give us information about the loan estimation and processes. I also ended up finding a lot of small mistakes in our paperwork and one large mistake in which he had over-estimated the amount of incentives that could be given to us at one time. This changed our closing cost by about 2000. When we were within the time frame of closing, that making a switch to not use the Viewhomes lender would have caused us significant troubles. The incentives were really a strong help, but once again it seemed as though they were only added correctly or added after we had mentioned that we were shopping for loans and not simply choosing the Viewhomes lender. After discussing this with View Mortgage we were able to get in contact with Sandy and had a smooth transition moving forward. When it came to closing we had another miscommunication about the closing funds. We believe that a check was needed and it turns out that wire transfer is the primary way completed now from First America Title. While everything ended up working out in the end. Things like this when large sums of money (Our closing cost was about 19k) are being utilized put more stress on me and my wife as buyers. As for the builder Eddy Gonzalez, I have no issues with him. He did a great job in explaining things to us was responsive and continues to help me as a new homeowner. He even helped us with an extra small step for our dog door since the drop was a little larger than anticipated. The house came together nicely and on top of that his estimate of completion was accurate with no major delays. He did the orientation for us and fixed all of the small asks from us that we saw around the house. I definitely enjoyed the process with Freddy B and he continues to call us regularly and make sure we are content with the house. While there were some miscommunications and problems with the process, overall I am very happy with the house and process.

The [name removed] Warranty Repair Program is terrible. I have a list of items needing repair that have been seen and verified by two customer care representatives and not fixed for over six months. I have contacted both [name removed], [name removed], and [name removed] multiple times a month to be told they are working on the scheduling for repairs, However - they do not.

The warranty department isn’t prompt to repair the property or home. I fell down in my driveway and was injured because the wood separating cement is 1/2 inches above the concrete. I have had to get steroid injections in my back. I had the warranty department look at it however there is no urgency to repair. Someone else is going to get hurt because of poor craftsmanship.

There is nothing I really dislike, I do have a few things that have be identified that do not match the model. That we have addressed with Eddy.

Too many issues ti resolve and too long ti resolve. Six months living here and still trying to resolve issues. The first home I bought years ago did not have many issues.

There has been and continue to be issues with my home that aren’t being addressed in a timely manner when I follow the proper channels of emailing customer care. I’ve had to send multiple communications and photos of my problems while some of them are worsening as I await a response.

[name removed] completely trained workers (heating and electronics). Customer service was/were available and courteous, follow through?? Landscaping only seems to be concerned in viewable areas from the front. They left a mess outside in the back of the fenced areas.

No communication from warranty department on several issues. Items from closing still not addressed.

Did not like financing. They kept changing the closing date. My final walk through was like 2 days before closing. I did not get a initial walk through.
Live Oak, on Feb 07, 2022
Promptness of getting repair work down. The cleanliness of my floors from left over material apon move in was poor. My driveway is cracking , breaking in chunks and splitting at the joints I’ve 2 inches. If I would have known this would have been the quality of the work view homes offers, I would have never signed on the dotted line.
San Antonio, TX, on Jul 18, 2022
Nothing to dislike. I like that View Home worked around my schedule when it was time for closing.
San Antonio, TX, on Jul 18, 2022
Any mistake pointed out was ignored until it was too late to fix without looking worse. Was told by Corey that he would pick up the trash that was in the house and they would clean the floors after walk thru before I moved in. None of that was done. There was still streaks of dirt and drywall dust on tile, chunks of drywall and pieces of wire insulation in the carpet of every room. Food stains on the countertop. Empty diet coke bottle in the garage. Nothing was done that he promised to do. During walk thru, any mistake with the paint I pointed out Corey told me that's why you give me free paint and I was to just fix it myself. Garage ac did not work and still has not been fixed. Mirror for prx in garage was not centered when installed and the gym hits it when put up. Notified Eddy thru text with photo and never received a response.

I love the customer service of all of your employees. They strive to make it a wonderful experience. I loved my home the moment I saw it.Oscar’s calmness in showing it was a blessing. I loved Freddie’s strength in walking beside me thru the closing. Eddie worked hard at making sure I have been happy. I’m grateful as I love my home. There’s a few things needed but the trust that has been built assures me it will be done. Thank you

The only complaint I have with the purchase process is the several additional appointments I have to scheduled in order to install all the 'smart' equipment and outdoor shed. I am very grateful for the additional upgrades but sometimes it feels like I purchased an incomplete home and weeks later I'm still not completely settled in.

San Antonio, TX, on Apr 25, 2022
I love everything they take really good care of their customers, and really detail , there’s nothing that I dislike about it . Especially Oscar and Eddie the handsome builder they help me a lots from the beginning to the end and now , working with them I have nothing to worry about. Thank u so much for all the help.
Live Oak, TX, on Apr 05, 2022
The biggest hurdle was the time it took especially after the frame contractor stop coming to work.
San Antonio, TX, on Apr 01, 2022
The purchase experience was good. Oscar Colorado was very helpful throughout the process and kept me update every week and still keeps in touch with me. Eddie Gonazles was also very helpful particular with the small details I wanted to make sure in my house was correct. I was very pleased with my experience with the both of them. A couple things that I disliked was when I picked options for my house, I opted to get pendant lights. The pendant lights that came with my house were very ugly and and not in par with the feel of the house. I felt like I was cheated of my money opting for kitchen pendant lights. The pendant lights were also crooked and not straight. In addition, I opted to get the home gym. I received a gift card from PRx but it was not the value I was told that I was initially informed. I was told it would be a 500 dollar gift card but only got 400 dollars. I can barely buy anything from the PRx website without costing more than 500. I also didn't like the "primary" walk through person was not very thorough. Eddie Gonzales ended up doing a more thorough job doing the walk through than the primary walk through person.

My HVAC has gone out on me 3 times. Oscar and Eddie has been very helpful even after I have closed.
Live Oak, TX, on Jan 25, 2022
There were, and still are, a lot of delays in getting things done. We are still waiting on a shoe rack for the master bedroom, and a garden shed to be built. These were promised within 30 days of move-in, and we are still waiting. Also, there were rooms that were carpeted, when they should have been tiled. One room, the master, was adjusted and they tiled it, but the other room remained carpeted. Overall, the experience wasn't all bad, considering this is our first home purchase. We are still adjusting and getting used to it, and the builder people have been helpful in fixing some issues.
