I have disliked the quality control of every trade that contributed to the build of my home. View homes is responsible for the skill of the trade labors they hire, and they fail at ensuring quality can be a selling point for their homes. All over my house are examples of sub-par, half-assed work that I was charged premium prices for. Complete trash! Guess they didn’t learn from their previous reputation as Armadillo Homes. It’s insane your stakeholders thought merely rebranding your company would recover your reputation without meaningful change to your quality control metrics. I will buy a double wide before buying another view home built home.

We were told that the repairs would be completed that were found on the 30 day walk through after we moved in. Then we were told the person who was in charge of the repairs quit and they couldn't find the list. The list has been found but nothing has been done to repair anything. We have air leaks around windows and cupboards, gaps in caulking around the house, stones are crumbling off the house. The pocket office in the house was built with one of the drawers blocked by the counter top. So the warranty service has basically refused to service our house. Every time we contact them we are told we need to submit a list which they already have.

From the sales team to the Loan Officer the professionalism was outstanding. We did not have a realtor when we bought this house and had it built. However, the people we were working with weree honest and trustworthy and they walked us through each stage, which made the process a smoothe transition. On top of that they really looked out for us when the appraiser gave an appraisal much less than the house was worth. Normally, we would have to pay the difference for what the actual cost was to make up the difference from what was appraised. Well we did not have that kind of cash on hand to pay that at closing, and they knew that, so they made a way for us to get this house without having to make up the $13,000.00 that we would have owed. As a result, we did not have to pay anything at closing. They could have stuck us with this bill, and just place the house on the inventory lot, but instead they worked with us and gave us the home we asked for and designed. They were truly looking out for us by going the extra mile that we would not be short changed. Most of the time people have a realtor to look out for them. We did not, and they really took care of us. What I admired most about the experience I had with them was there integrity and trustworthiness to go the extra mile to ensure we got this home. For that I am truly greatful to them, and I would recommend Armadillo homes to anyone.

I was not satisfied on how the construction side of my walk through was addressed. I was given excuses from the minute i walked in the house and the errors are still existing. The cabinets drawers near the sink do not close unless i apply some force to close them. The cabinet below was addressed in my walk through that it need to have the shelf installed and was never installed or put in. I have a cabinet that does not have a shelf which i was assured that it would be addressed while closed. The house has float and tape issues and was given numerous excuses as to well they are within their job function. I still have blue tape that again was addressed during my walk through about the front linen closest. I addressed a issue in my master bedroom on the ceiling that a bubble on the ceiling had to be addressed while i was closing and was informed again that it would be addresses never was it addressed. I was always met with an excuse well your house is warrantied for the 1st year. I'm sorry but potential customers do not buy a home for a warranty. I Also again the day of closing was informed that the house would be cleaned and when we came back the next day the house was never cleaned. This was my 1st ever home purchase in my life and Armadillo failed in making my home purchase feel exciting. I have no complaints from the sales area as [name removed] was very informative. In that area you would garner high remarks but your construction side or walk through side of the business would not warrant a satisfactory score.

From the beginning we were led to false promises made by our original salesperson at the original community we were considering, she was also not well trained and was so lost with the available floor plans. She was very nice and sweet but definitely overwhelming knowing that she was confused on what to how to get things going. We originally were told that the the property we wanted to build at was available and all we had to do was find the floor plan we wanted to build and then drop a deposit for the lot. So we did as directed and followed thorough, so we can begin with the build once we had our cashiers check they broke it to us that it was not available after all. We were told that we needed to build in a different community or wait for at least a year to build in the lot we originally wanted, needless to say we began looking at other houses and other builders. Our realtor showed us many houses but none compared to the floor plan of the ranger and we were in awe with it from the beginning. So we decided to come back and deal with a new salesperson, someone who knew the product and knew what was available and how to get the ball rolling. At this point is when we met [name removed] and let me tell you, he knew exactly what was going on and had great communications skills with not only my realtor but us as well. When we were scheduled to select our items and customize our build we were waiting for over a hour to just begin looking at items, but [name removed] came in once again to save the day and help us begin to choose things we wanted. We originally fell in love with the model home in TRP community of the ranger and all we wanted was a home just like it, the original salesperson kept promising us and telling us that it would look just like it. Well just like I mentioned before we were left with false promises and the good thing is that when the home was built we kept a close eye on the build and kept referring to the model home that we had to correct plenty of mistakes that were made by the building team. There was plugs missing and plugs in deferent areas where they didn’t go, the master rr shower was incorrect but we told the building manager about it asap to get fixed. There was time scheduling that was made on to when the house would be finished and the build would take place of course we were also selling out old home and because someone dropped the ball on things to get done it interfered with our sale of out old home. And were almost left to go either get a hotel or stay with a family member for a few weeks. We were very disappointed with the way the building management left us out in the dark and treated us like just a regular buyer. He even mentioned to my realtor that if we didn’t buy this house there would be a line out the door to buy it. ([name removed] professional at all) My realtor obviously mentioned to him that we were prequalified to buy a $500k home and we decided to buy this home because it was a floor plan that we loved and would work for our family. When it came to the final walk through the house was not ready at all, we even decided that we would not contract on the house until it was all completed. At this point we still haven’t seen the door that was promised to us from the beginning from the model home at TRP in out new home and did agree that the salesperson stated we would get it and at the last minute they stated that it was an upgrade that needed to be bought out. We went back and forth for days about the door and our salesperson got us the door that was promised to us and well we even got it amended in the contract that the door would be ordered and installed after we signed for the house. The day we went to contract on the house stuff was still not completed 100% in the house prior to moving in and we were told that they would get addressed within the 30day follow up. And we were also told that the door that was promised to us would also be here within 3 weeks, ready for install. We have surpassed the 30days and we yet to get a call from anyone about the 30day follow up and also the door is still not here or installed, yet again the main offices or management is just giving us the run around and leaving us with false promises. We have found many things wrong or things that need to get addressed in the house that feels like the house was just rushed. Outlets aren’t working, plug covers are broken and crooked, we found trim pieces above the cabinets that were left with saw dust, the light fixtures are looking like they are falling above kids rooms, paint touch ups, fence is crooked and broken pieces were filled in so it looks full, barn doors are crooked, there’s holes in the Sheetrock under the cabinets in the rr, wires are exposed on the side of the house, flooring planks that were de-colored were never replaced, and many other things. We understand that we are in a pandemic and its hard to get things done with certain restrictions placed by our governor and mayor but when we see the main office demo going up and traits are going in left and right, how is this suppose to make us feel especially when its right across the street from our home?
