I really liked the house from the start, the quality of its materials and design. Although I had some communication issues with Sara Staudte, everything was resolved thanks to Elizabeth Kocillari, an extremely valuable person for View Homes, who was present throughout the entire purchasing process and helped me overcome the difficult times I had with Guild Mortgage. In the end, everything turned out well thanks to Elizabeth and my realtor, who also intervened in any problems that arose. Elizabeth, you are the best! Thank you so much for all your help!

The builder, Todd was really easy going and willing to answer all of our questions. Liz was also really helpful and made sure there wasn’t anything we didn’t like.

-I had a leak in the roof in one of the half bathrooms. They had to come out a few different times to repair. This time they actually found that there was 2-3 holes in the roof shingles. However, instead of replacing the actual shingles, it was only patched with tar. I feel like that is a temporary solution to a problem that can result in a bigger issue later down the road. When I asked why they couldn’t be replaced, I was told that they don’t normally do that and the tar should fix it. -I also reported a significant gap in the fence when I first moved in, but I was told they didn’t want to completely redo the fence so they would just add more mulch to the hole. The mulch was added but that didn’t actually fix the gap. I love the overall house, but it does not always seem like people want to address the repairs the correct way. Instead they want to put a “band aid” on the issue and quickly resolve it because actually fixing it the correct way would cost more money and time.

Overall, very great experience! Everyone was very helpful and made the process go as smooth as possible. Some minor miscommunications throughout the building process - but they were quickly resolved. I am still waiting on the garage door opener to be installed, but I was told it should be installed in the next few weeks.

View homes was recommended to me by my good friend and when I met the sales team Jessica and John they told me how closely they work with buyers and how much they would be in communication me throughout the process. I was disappointed to not be getting weekly or regular updates. Mistakes were made on the paperwork multiple times. On one particular day, there was confusion about missing incentives on the contract. My realtor and I both called texted and emailed John multiple times to clarify, with no answer, and I finally ended up driving over there @3pm on a Friday to make sure we were still under contract. I have purchased many homes and this has by far been the most confusing and difficult buying experience because of the sales team.

Like: Everyone we have interacted with (John, Jessica and Todd have been super friendly, accommodating and all in all a pleasure to work with throughout this entire experience Dislike: We were told there was opportunity to add Sod to the backyard but as we got closer to closing, we realized that was not the case. Not a huge deal but the backyard is over 50% mulch (realize the builders have restrictions per City mandate). Only been in the house for 4 days so it’s hard to really create a list this soon after move in but these are our initial thoughts!
