I was promised that the home would be complete in May but then it was delayed until mid July. Also was told the master bath would have the bathtub and shower option but it did not. Then just trying to get the signing date moved by one day was like pulling teeth.

Pros: house was done on time with relatively no issues. Professional staff. Nice home, reasonably priced in a nice neighborhood. Cons: Rock wall fence is four feet which does not permit privacy. Very difficult process to raise a wall. Requires approval from each neighbor, the builder's rock wall contractor does the work as well. All this before trying to landscape the back yard due to strict warranty constraints. This is why most people spend more money on a more temporary wood or iron privacy fence.

The irrigation system was not working properly when I first moved in and I asked for it to be looked at which it was because it was still under the 30 day warranty. After that the system was still not working properly but that was past the initial 30 days so the company would not do anything to help.

I loved the overall cleanliness of the house, the smell of a new house. the appliances, the orientation, and a lots of others thinks. The plants on the front Yard are dying (at least one of them), the master bedroom closet didn't have any electrical outlet and the bathroom toilet paper holder seems to have been mounted on the wrong place.

The quality of repair work done in June 2023 prior to closing wasn't great and has made me hesitant to make any warranty claims. I had a warranty repair scheduled for 2/7/24 at 10:30AM and nobody showed up or called to notify me that nobody was coming. My warranty experience has been very poor.

The caulking in my shower needs to be re caulked. Also, my garage door doesnt work. I have issues with garage door. Lastly, I am not sure who is supposed to manage and care for the trees on the side of my house on the sidewalk. No one has been able to tell me who is in charge of them.

Many questions not answered. Someone recaulked a small part in my standup shower and the information I received seemed not good for me to buy a new house. I asked the man to help me with setting up my automatic draining system and he said he did not want to because he didnt want to be responsible if he messes it up. The first time one of those foreman came to my house he was happy to help. Not the last guy. Also, some of my neighbors have talked to me about all the warranties and they say that [name removed] View will only say no to helping. They say you guys find a bunch of loopholes to fix things that need to be fixed before the year ends.

I liked everything from contract through move in. It was very smooth, easy and quick. Everyone answered any questions I had and was willing to assist. The only issue I had was I was a mixup with the home keys which was quickly solved.

It would be nice if they can keep in touch with us more as a 1 on 1 basis, rather than just sending general emails. It seems like they want just your money and no commitments or follow ups after that. Till they sell the house they are nice, once they get their money, you are a stranger to them. Just because there is no record of something, there is NO HUMAN aspect of genuinely helping the home owner or at least trying to help. Let it be a 1st time Home Buyer or a Home buyer who has multiple properties, they should still extend the same curtosy to all.

I can hear the pigeons walking in my roof. You can here down stair what is said ups stairs. The insulation is bad. The cofactor that is only one air conditioning units for the whole house. Keep the house cold up and hot down. I had issues with all the bathroom causing water damage. I cannot complain about [name removed] and his team. They went out and fix it promptly… however no one wants to have water damage in a brand new home.

In the end I liked how our home turned out, there wasn’t a lot of things that needed to be fixed for move in. Our Desert View representative, Lili, was very up front with everything and what we should expect and how the process would go. I disliked that it felt like it took a long time, and towards the end it seemed like move in was made longer then necessary because of red tape.

Winfield Model When doing the walk through orientation, please do not start the sentence with “this is a perfect home built my imperfect men”. First few weeks of move in, there was a leak on the 1st floor ceiling, cause is unknown. Plumbers came and replaced the wax seals improperly for the toilet located in the master bedroom. Leak continues to happen until another plumber came by to inspect and replaced the wax seals again. However it continued to leak again. Finally, another plumber came and made a cut on the ceiling drywall exposing where the leak is coming from. Located at the pipe joints. This is a brand new home and contractors wants to perform repairs in a half XXXXX fashion way. Why can’t the problem be fixed the first time instead of wasting time for coming back multiple times? Homeowners have work too and can’t afford constantly leaving the job to go back home. I felt that I have to constantly monitor the contractor’s job because of their half XXXXX work previously.

The purchase experienced was the best quality of the process. It was a smooth transition and with lots of open communication despite being out of state during the process. The sales agent kept me inform and periodically sent updates which, as an out of state buyer you appreciate. The walk-through was also a good experience even via facetime as my realtor had to do that for us. I do like the flexibility from the staff. Jessica was so accommodating and was able to give us a second orientation once we arrived. The dislike is the quality of the craftsmanship. There are a lot of deficiencies that need to be addressed. Too many minor things that were overlooked and although we have a year of craftsmanship warranty, it seems like the finishing touches were rushed and are visible throughout the house.
