What I really appreciate is that they are currently working on fixing my home and addressing the issues I have brought to their attention. However, I do feel that the communication and follow-up could be improved. After the six-month period following my purchase, I was expecting a follow-up as I was told there would be one, but I never received it. I was also not informed that I could seal my floors after 30 days. I was told that I needed to wait a year or it could affect my warranty, which was confusing and frustrating. There were also a few times when I scheduled repairs and took time off from work, but the repairs were not completed because no one showed up. I understand that things can happen, but it was difficult having to miss work and then make multiple calls to get the repairs rescheduled. Overall, I am happy that the issues are finally being addressed. I just feel that better communication, follow-up, and keeping scheduled appointments would make the experience much better for homeowners.

I liked that the company was frequently available to stop by and view our home during the build, as well as coming by the Model House to measure certain areas.

Like: Communication between Desert View Homes representative and myself was very professional. Always checked up on us and provided updates on the property’s building process. These updates always included pictures of the home and the current state of the property. The representative provided my family multiple opportunities to asks questions and bring up concerns. Dislike: There was a confusing time in our purchase process where our assigned title company changed. Did not affect our purchase process in the end, but it was a confusing time when we began to receive communication from a title company we did not expect.

Just like anything, before the sale was pleasant. As we got closer to the signing date, things would get pushed back. Either for a utility issue or a build issue. Once we were at the point of the walk through, there were still issues that need to be fixed or attended to. Some major issues even after the walk through. We have seen or heard from the salesperson since before our walk through or even a simple follow up. The good news is the warranty person has done everything to help us get through all the issues that need to be tended to. [name removed] has been great, but the timely responses are an obstacle since there as been quite a few issues. The ticketing system does not always get the responses as the direct phone calls do. That system needs attention. Financing was awesome. Overall Desert [name removed] Homes, lacks in the areas of after sale and project management when it came down to the buyer, builder, sales round table meetings, because I felt that the knowledge base could use some training in that area. Last thing would be, we still do not have an internet provider because that utility was never wired/cabled by the utility company and was overlooked by DVH homes. No attention to detail. We got water, gas, but no cable or fiber from xfinity.

I havent had any personal experience with desert view, my only problem is all the construction still going on makes the wind bring a lot of trash into my backyard

We marked several places where we were unhappy with the grout a dall the caulking before final walkthrough, pointed it out at walk through, was told oh they will fix it. Never happened. Final walkthrough I was told they aren’t going to fix it. And after signing told “well you shouldn’t have signed, you should have told us”. So I just live with it. Including the patched up cement in the back and front where they said “it looks fine”. What am I supposed to do at that point? Give up. So that’s what I did. Would I recommend a desert view to friends and family? No! Unless they want to get subpar workmanship on grout and caulking. It may not be a big deal to a lot of people but it bothers me especially since every time I brought it up, I was made to feel stupid and I shouldn’t pursue it. I don’t remember the man’s name at final walk through. But it was him. [name removed] is wonderful and has done a nice job but it wasn’t her at di al walk trough. It was an older gentleman who was condescending and told me my concerns weren’t important. Ultimately, yes, I signed the papers but I regret it. The grout and caulk problems should have been fixed.

The timeline of our home kept changing which was inconvenient, we had a bunch of electrical issues upon moving in but was resolved quickly.
