Early property manager messed up a lot of things we wanted and after move in we are finding holes in the wall behind cabinets and chipped tile throughout as well as the disposal and dishwasher losing power and function within a span of a few days

Several quality issues around the house in the exterior. The house is incomplete, missing features in the from of the house. I have a windows that is upside-down and the slide-door was installed upside-down. During the rains water accumulated around the house and mange to infiltrated thru the walls which affected 2 rooms. Missing paint around the edges of all windows. Nails are visible in some parts of the house. Looks like the house had a lack of supervision during the construction.

The work was sloppy by the painters and it took almost Two years to complete leaving me to pay over $1,000.00 in extra non government storage fees. Landscape was not acceptable, and the contractor well what can I say??

Eva's ability to answer questions prior to contract and with the weekly call ins. Her follow ups with the answer even if it was a redirect due it being another departments area of responsibility. Jessica's knowledge, patience and professionalism with the orientation. Hortensia's keen knowledge, patience and guidance with the color selection. The home that I purchase did not have an actual model. The model's had features that wasn't available such as the rocker switches. It was stated that a five piece was standard with the upstairs owner suite but, that was not true. It was too late to make the upgrade because of the stage of the building process when informed differently. Had requested upgrade to tile roof and the color selection was in Feb 2021 and eight months later from the selection I was advise it was no longer available and had to select a different color. The workmanship as it relates to details such as of the base boards, any detail work with paint interior and exterior was awful. The house in some respect looked as if it was rushed.

First and foremost I LOVE Amy home. The process was however horrible. My sweet rep Eva was amazing and did all she could possibly do for us but Desert View also failed her. The design center was awful the rep there doesn’t go over everything and had several things messed up on our contracts that were never fixed…. One of which landed us with no ceiling fans and that was on the list. We didnt have a clue of what most fixtures would look like not did we get to see every option available to us. She just rushed through to get us out. LACK OF COMMUNICATION As the buyers we couldn’t trust our builder because we were told certain things that never came to fruition or the reasons given for certain things were untrue which makes DV look untrust worthy. I have an electrical issue in my new home that has been looked at 3 times already and still not fixed! My coffee pot flips the whole breaker to my Fridgerator if you brew coffee while the fridge kicks on.. That should NOT happen. My home I sold didn’t ever do that! This home should be wired to handle a keurig. I know COVID caused delays and that caused us to move in 13 months AFTER our contract. We’re we’re also left with no home for 30 days DV PROMISED we would close Sept 25 they ensured us many times that this was the case. So my realtor listed our home and it sold fast we were to move on the 25 but just like everything else that didn’t happen… My family had to move into my realtors rental that was in the middle of renovations… We lived in a construction zone for 3 days… imagine had she not let us do this we would have been homeless. The whole experience was a nightmare honestly Eva is the absolute sweetest and needs to given a raise or something for having to be the go between DV and customers this way.

Overall I'm satisfied with the purchase of my home with Desert View. However there's something that got me upset. We had an expected closing date and it was postponed multiple times because of the shortage of cabinets, which I totally understand since I work in sales and I know right now there seems to be a shortage on everything. My problem is that they had all these time to take care of the other details at the house, but they didn't. They took care of mostly all the defects that we noticed on the walk through, which were mostly paint details. But we pointed out our concern on the roof because it had several spots with paint on the shingles. They never took care of that. Its been 3 weeks since I moved in and still it hasn't been taken care of. That would be my only complain
