Home is great and lover the cozyness it offers. The person in charge of the construction - [name removed] - made the whole experience bearable due to his honesty and professionalism. However, there were bad experiences during the build process. For instance, a bunch of the sub contractors were lazy and always on break when ever I went by to check the progress. Another bad experience was the time it took for the warranty department to answer back a couple of months back.

Issues with lender, lender wasn’t very communicative about process and impatient with first time home owner. Process was rushed and promised date was moved over 3 months earlier than expected date. Promised updates weekly and never received any until almost before closing. Not considerate of life schedule which made process super stressful. Was promised more incentives when asked about options quick to dismiss previous discussions. Overall representatives were very supportive and sweet. Process of looking for the best fit for the family was enjoyable and representative provided great explanations and guidance through the agreement.After moving faculty continue to be attentive and respectful.

The irrigation system does not work properly after winterizing, a month warranty is ridiculous and this is a big No Go. The ceilings are cracking and the sink leaks!

The warranty department manager is a difficult person to deal with and his explanations are hardly ever in the homeowners favor. It is unpleasant to deal with him. You feel like you are going to “battle”with him and he rarely ever agrees with any repairs and his explanations are hard to accept.

Y’all need to work on better communication between the customer and staff. Dislike that the sales representative for this area seemed to be annoyed whenever I had a question. Dislike that we were not allowed to select what kind of trees/shrubs we wanted in the front. Dislike that the sales representative made it seem like we were never correct and she was always correct with any issue we experienced after we moved in. Example (incorrect electrical dryer outlet was installed) sales representative told us that we had the correct one until [name removed] verified the outlet and told us that they put the incorrect outlet. Only perk is [name removed] the superintendent! He has always has gone above and beyond whenever an issue has occurred and is quick to get it fixed.

There has been no follow-through since August 10 to come back and fix the leak and roof area of my back porch also the patchwork on the beam in the back was painted with a color that does not match the house. And some of the stone work in the front has come loose.

The whole process was fine until the walkthrough were we noticed that our home was missing the "flashing" installation we brought it up to desert homes and they said they will take care of it. They did fix it after 1000 emails and phone calls. Now the area they repainted does not match our whole home. After another 100 emails we finally got the property manager Jacob Nunez to finally repaint our wall but he only said he will only paint the wall with that was fixed. Now I'm worried that new paint will not match the rest of the house. They explain the logistic of how stucco blends in with time but we wouldn't be in this situation if the proper inspections were done when the house was built. We invested thousands of dollars for our home to be build correctly and just felt let down.
