Almost a year in our home, and still faced with issues that were either fixed half fast, or not at all. Base boards were all damaged and chipped, door casings in master closet have a huge chip missing, many nail holes never filled with wood filler, toe kick is deteriorating, and front door molding looks as if a child installed it. Caulking around all windows and sliding doors are cracked and separating from window. Many cracks in stucco, within the rock walls, and issues with garage door not closing or issues with it tripping. Had an appointment Friday 2/24/2023 rearranged my whole day to have issues resolved, and no one ever came nor did warranty follow up. Home was rushed to build to be sold.

Beginning to End was very unpleasant. Had no communications frm contract to move in there is no coordination. Wouldn't get a call back. Would tell me same thing and another person wouldtell me another. The walk thru was a mess. Buying my 1st house was not exciting and did not feel welcoming.

It was not move-in ready. Had people coming in for painting, broken tile twice, made two large holes in wall for water leaking in wall, carpet damage, base board needed to be replaced, refrigerator dented, patio screen door does not close properly, and concrete in back porch was not layed properly has cement splatters all over and small pot holes. Workers come and not complete the job, are called away with out completing the job, are scheduled but do not show up. It has been a month and we are still waiting to have a livable home.

The house is built poorly. When there are issues [name removed] does not want to fix he makes excuses. I would never ever recommend Desert view homes to anyone that I know. This is the worst purchase I have ever made.

Happy with the quality, but the design needs work; the refrigerator door hits the wall that shouldn’t be there; kitchen cabinets not deep enough; kitchen pantry much too small; walking closet much too large in master bedroom downstairs; hallway restroom larger than the hallway closet; should be the reverse; double kitchen sink in the island much too small; needs a taller and flex hose faucet; the ac/heater unit should not be in the attic; access to attic much too small for care and maintenance; birds accessed the vents; little to no aeration of attic area to allow for heat exhaust fan installation are some of the observations…

Justin was fantastic regarding the urgency of the purchase of this home. He knew that I needed to purchase a home by the end of August so that I wouldn't have to lease a house for another year, and he made it happen. However, after I moved in, I was told by Gordon during the walk through of the property that I shouldn't hesitate to contact him either by phone or text to let him know if I found any issues with the house. Unfortunately, I texted him on August 20th informing him that there was a problem with the guest bathroom sink, he never responded. I then called him a few days later, and he told me that I needed to fill out an online request for repairs. My brother was able to fix the problem. I also sent a text regarding a crack in the wall and sent a picture of it on September 8th, and I still not have heard back from him. This is disappointing.

HVAC system has messed up twice in the first 4 months of use causing the electric bill too double in price, had to wait additional days for it to be fixed because the tech who came the 1st time did not properly identify the problem, in return the seal to our attic had to be broken by the HVAC guys. Also resulted in multiple days of no AC during high temp weather.

It took us about 5 months to get the tree replaced. When we moved in the house would not cool off, we came to find out that the attic had NOT been insulated.

The loan process at time we thought we would not get our house. It should have started 2-3months before closing. We started the process 4 weeks before closing and was asked to come up with $18,000 of our own money. But other then that Michael Crocker from Desert View Helped us a lot if it was not for him being so positive we would of given up.

Michael Croker was amazing to work with! We had excellent communication weekly about the progress of our home. I loved the choices/options given for the look of our home (everything inside and outside). We would prefer to have taller rock walls and no options for back landscaping.

Staring with Michael I would like to thank him as he took the time to see me and explain the process in a manner in which I could understand. He was diligent, accurate and on point always. He provide me with important information and work with me to get my home. I would also like to Thank Joseph as he has very good in keeping me informed of everything happening during the building stages of my home and meeting with me to explain the steps of the building process. The finance company Cathy-it was a pleasure working with her team and Gordon, I was impressed with him providing so much information and yet making himself available to assist with questions and concerns just as Michael did. I’am comfortable as I know I can still count on them for questions and assistance if needed.

There are still some things not completed. The bedroom had a hole in the ceiling. It was fixed 09/20 but they never came back to paint the section that was fixed. The rock wall is cracked. I was told that it would be fixed by December 2020. This is February 2021 not fixed. I guess i have to call to remind them to fix it. Also i have not received an explanation that is logical about why the fixtures in the bathrooms do not match. They are different colors. They are different.

Like- the expectations of me were fair. They worked around my schedule. Dislike- there were times that communication was almost non existent. I would have my part done but either have to wait on desert view or the title company to catch up. Desert view had a hard time giving me an accurate deadline even close to the end witch caused problems.
