Huge dislike when the builder would say things will get done and always pushed off follow ups and follow throughs. We always had to remind them about a schedule and they honestly had no idea what was going on. Example: Upon first walkthrough, they destroyed the kitchen backsplash because the outlets were in the wrong place. [name removed] said it would get done by the following Monday (we closed Friday) and come monday no one ever showed up. When asking [name removed], he said he would contact the company about a timeframe and to let me know. However he never did on 2-3 occasions and finally decided to push it off and have them call me to schedule instead. Still I heard nothing and then I had to tell [name removed] to get an answer for me. 1 month after closing and of running around, they finally fix the kitchen backsplash. (I suggest never telling buyers when something will get finished when its not in your control. College 101). Even throughout the build process the communication has been just like the above. Then whenever we have valid questions about the build, were stuck with [name removed] saying things like “oh yeah thats how its supposed to be”. OR “yeah it will get done” and in return it gets pushed off. If its that busy, take notes so you remember to follow through and dont just sit around a computer desk twiddling your thumbs in the model home. [name removed] Q the warranty rep took notes during the 7 day walkthrough about the concerned items we still saw and said he would follow up. He eventually ghosts me and then only keeps contact with my wife and then we never hear from him again when things need to get done. He always asked my wife what else needs to get done when he has the list and should asking us what got finished. Were basically doing everyones job for them because we have to constantly remind everyone what did not get finished. Its a common thing probably since they dont live in the home so they don’t really care when things get done. I’ll say this, getting something done but not in a timely manner does not mean it was done properly. Grand homes is the same as almost every other builder. As in if you close on your home, it’s essentially not their problem to do anything on time.

The heater doesn't work , I called the company Nutex and they sent a technician and it got delayed and then he came abd ordered the part but the technician couldnt come to install it so we ar suffering without heat in this weather as only one unit is working. The garage door pees up by itself as there is something wrong with the sensor. I have still waiting on to be fixed. The bedrooms have no door locks on them had to call the builder and spoke to him he states that he has ordered them. there is no privacy unfortunately.

Grand really take care of your home after closing. There are minor problems in the home, they they took care of that for us!

I thought grand homes was a reputable company but after purchasing 3 house and the quality we received is very bad. I'm so so disappointed and angry I can't even explain in words. All my money went down the drain. They put the most cheapest quality materials and the pressure they created for me to close the house even before they finished building it. I wasn't satisfied when I did the walk through but still they pressured me to close the house because the builder has to complete building houses in a certain period of time. I am removing almost everything because the quality they put is horrible. Grand Homes is horrible. They conned us. I will never refer Grand Homes to anyone.

Disliked the design center process. Would have enjoyed a digital store so we could continuously review our selections and compare ourselves. Wish I knew about customizing different types of windows, sinks, indoor and outdoor utility sinks. Wish I knew about doors on fences and that the fence colors matched. Dislike the HOA required colors. Dislike new build homes nearby that split internet and electricity wires that affect our home. Other than those things, would love to build again with Grand Homes in the nearby future.

The original schedule was 7 months. It means my home should have been completed on Nov 2021, but it went to Mar 2022 almost 4 months delay in schedule and. Due to the schedule failure, I couldn’t fix my mortgage rate in November when it was low and it went from 3 to 4% in Feb 2022. The builder never provided me a firm schedule so I could manage my mortgage and previous lease agreement and this put me in a very difficult situation because I couldn’t give 60 days notice to the Landlord and couldn’t lock the mortgage rate. In addition the quality of work was not good, we did 3 punch lists and still have quality issues at my home.

[name removed] consistently calls us to check in on the progress of several minor things that needed to be fixed. [name removed] is very personable and represents the Grand Home Brand well. [name removed] only with his work and dedication in getting our problems resolved. They all have been resolved thanks to [name removed].

I believe the house was hastily built, corners cut. I chose Grand Homes because of its reputation, but I did not receive the quality or service I expected. At the initial walk through 1. There were nails sticking out underneath all the cabinets. 2. There was a leak underneath the guest bathroom. 3. Mistakes were made with the kitchen island. It took ordering the granite counter top three times for it to be placed correctly and I’m still not satisfied because it’s cracked. Currently 1. One of the kitchen cabinets put in does not match the rest of the cabinets. 2. There are currently stairwell steps that when stepped on cause me pain because it was not put in properly. It’s as if nails are poking through. I’ve informed warranty of this and no response. 3. Portions of the wood is scratched to hell 4. Paint build up 5. The first week we moved in there was a leak in the guest bathroom that flooded the master and guest closets. I had to stay on top of the vendor to take care of the matter. He had a date originally scheduled and when I called him he said he had forgotten to put me in his books and had to come out another day. At the end I was fed up and just wanted to be moved in. There are no words for how upset and disappointed I am in my home. I don’t understand if it’s a new home why it doesn’t look like a new home.
