Overall experience with [name removed] Homes are mostly positive. Especially, after sales warranty support has been awesome. [name removed] who are in charge of the warranty are nothing short of amazing. He took care of every single concern with priority. Only thing, we didn't like was the lack of communication with proper closing date for the house that put us into some difficult situation at that time, this would not cloud my judgement of all the positive experiences we've had with the [name removed] Homes. However, after closing, we've got the best possible service. Again mentioning [name removed] from [name removed] Homes who have been amazing resolving issues that we had in the past 11 months.

The only thing is during the pre walk through meeting the floor was dirty. We were not able to examine the floor inside and outside. On the pre walk paper we were not allowed to right any issues I don’t know why by builder and warranty department. [name removed] did took care of the issues after that but still some of the issue like outside patio there is a big scratch patching was needed but not done and when I raised the concern to [name removed] and dawn both than you know after you close your house everything is home owner responsibility. [name removed] did solve our most of our problems. She did a good job. She is very hardworking warranty employee.

My double ovens didn’t work and I had to find a repair person. When going through walk thru they turned on the oven but I assumed it would heat up. It got to about 150 degrees and I assumed the double oven, which cost extra, would eventually get to 400 degrees so they turned it off, instead of just waiting. That was a mistake. Once I signed the contract I bought a broken double oven for a new house and [name removed] [name removed] would not fit it. I had to use warranty and that took almost a year before the parts came. Check everything people! Where ever a builder can get over on you, they will. That’s my warning to every buyer. Talk to others without any one around to find the horror stories. I’m sure some people are satisfied too. They had some nice people. And some were demons from below. Protect yourself. Especially from the little things. Happy building experience.

Our experience buying almost a million dollars home, probably we were expecting a finest start. Had to cut through the walls to fix water lines in one of bathrooms, we still have an issue with our dishwasher although [name removed] being so helpful fixing it yet we still have leaking dishwasher. We had some issues with our contact. Specially on the seller contributions. Contract first page needs to be simplified more so that buyers clearly understand what they are paying. We signed for the price and verbally we were asked to trust what we were signing saying that the contract was confusing. Which didn’t end up well. We liked the grand home do far. No other issues. I would still recommend 10/10 to my family and friends.

One thing was the timing. I would like to be firmer, because is more difficult to make all the arrangements before move in. And the quality of the cabinets paint.

[name removed] is an amazing employee, always responds when I reach out to him and ever respectful despite being older. I have not had any issues with fixing things that were not properly done by the builder. I am pleased with his services.

I loved the initial process of meeting with [name removed], designing the homes, and the first few months of the build. It was at the last 4 months of my build that I was assigned to a new builder (Lead builder [name removed]) and my experience turned absolutely horrible and unprofessional. After one year of living in the home I am very satisfied but annoyed as well noticing lack of quality from the lack of care of the last builder. All cabinets for example have been finished horribly. I expected better quality from grand homes and was disappointed with this. In regards to working with the warranty department, [name removed] has been absolutely awesome! He took care of a major electrical issue and ensured a test electric fixed it, even when they tried to push back. [name removed] went above and beyond and this experience reminded me how great [name removed] homes can be.

Cabinets are cheap material, uneven and warped. Improper cheap painting. We have white cabinets and you cans still see the red of the primer. The whole house was painted by DIY guys. Had to call my warranty guy to have several repairs retouched again. A/C unit had a loud noise and they came back to repair it and still waiting for sheet rock guys to come back to repair. You really get builders grade stuff for everything…as a matter of fact, one of the workers told me this exact thing, obviously I won’t mention who said to protect him from his job. The design team, the way the process was…was a horrible experience. We wanted to add several things and she said it’s too expensive just do it after you close. Never suggested things we could add and never knew you could add certain things. I would had much rather buy the house as a shell and we would have had renovations afterwards just like the lady at design suggested. (Surprise she even suggested it.)

Firstly my salesperson didn’t explain/show me the optionals and customizations we have. They said we can customize at the time of design center appointments but Designer said I would have to choose all these before the contract sign. Next for brick choose, really it’s a disaster. Really lots of followups and no response. Then i requested divisional manager about all the missing option but they said they can’t though i said will pay the city approvals fee. Contacted vice president and still no luck. Missed options: 1. Wooden floor(they dint offer me) 2. Guest washroom changing to standing shower(I don’t even know that we have this option) 3. External focus lights(sales person told me i can chose at design studio but she didn’t allow me) 4. Extra lights In Dining room(they said i can choose at the time builder meeting but he simply refused) 5. Firstly i choose one lot and salesperson was fired and i tried to reach and no one responded so i lost that lot and ended up paying 30k premium. 6. Linear fire place, at the time of design center appointment they said they don’t have the option but all my neighbors got that option who went before me and after me 8. Additional hose bibs, i requested like anything but no luck. 9. Main door - requested new one die to security reasons but they simply rejected but all other got same Except [name removed] no one helped me and responded me. This is not my dream home. As i a first home owner i had very worst experience. I will never ever recommend Grandhomes.. Literally Grandhomes before contract sign and after sign is totally different
