Love the design options available and especially the Lake [name removed] and Grand [name removed]. The thing i disliked the most was that my starter stair was a shorter run that the other stairs making it slightly dangerous

Everything was great, the builder [name removed] C. Was awesome throughout the whole process. Just during design and making choices like our pocket doors, we didn’t have a chance to see them in person and in the house we are not a fan but we paid for them so kept them for now

Builder and his boss added unnecessary entrance steps and steps from garage to the house. Trying to save some money for their budget in the cost of my convenience. It was never discussed with us

Communication is poor between departments during build. Warranty is dismissive and doesn’t actually address the issue post build.

Carpet lifts up even though no one touched it. AC condenser was replaced, sprinkler broken and leaked water incurred high water and electricity bills. [name removed] had to come and reset the garage because after the storm it didn't work. GH didn't even put the lights in the garage opener ( worklight or courtesy light) to save couple bucks? Rain censor is flashing unpaired and sprinklers are on while raining. Our family is afraid to touch anything around the house because it might fall apart.

What I’ve disliked most up to this point is the trouble I’ve had getting my laminate floor properly repaired. [name removed] keeps giving me the run around, and grand is allowing it instead of demanding a proper solution. I’m on the third repair for the same issue within two months. Unbelievable!

Light bulbs u see are all burning out from them keeping lights on all night so don’t have new bills in all lights.

I think they were very strict about the extras … we bought our home so fast there were many things we didn’t understand and couldn’t get. Like examples : turning the bathtub into shower , the door to the dining room things like that. Design center needs improvement … the time to understand and choose, items to be selected very limited

Dislike the fact that I'm stuck with a mortgage on a house that it's not worth the price, uneven walls, baseboards not nail properly, cracks on kitchen cabinets & walls, chipped paint to plastic on corner walls, cracking noise on second floor, carpet coming apart, carpet joint not done correctly. Seems Grand homes uses cheap labor to turn around and make a high profit margin. Also I overpaid for the house because I trusted Grand Homes, the builder ([name removed]) & Warranty ([name removed]) don't want to help anymore after I close on the house.

Our project manager [name removed] was excellent. If I called with a question, he took the call and answered the question. If I seen something that I thought could look better or be done better he would make that happen. He is very knowledgeable in construction and customer service and we are very lucky to have had him working on our project. Our sales person [name removed] was great through every step. [name removed] at the Design center was awesome, she helped us bring our vision to life with all of the choices. We also dealt with [name removed] some who was also great. I would highly recommend Grand Homes in specifically this team to anyone I know who is looking to build a new home.

The design center experience was sub-par. Choices and its cost implications ought to be simple point and click instead of prolonged manual calculations on a calculator. Time allocated should vary by the size of the house. The design choices need a major update. You all have 15 year remnants still masquerading as options. Outside of that, excellent.
