From day one, this build has been an uphill battle. Starting with the foundation, there were serious issues during the pour and with the WRB—large holes that were never fixed before brickwork began, even after being flagged by our private inspectors. That set the tone for everything that followed. We had to bring in private inspections at multiple stages, all of which exposed poor workmanship, subpar materials, and a pattern of careless, corner-cutting contractors. From cheap paint quality to overall execution, the lack of standards has been consistently disappointing. The design process was equally frustrating. We were rushed into decisions, not informed in advance about key selections, and ultimately had to pay out of pocket for additional design meetings just to catch up. Even then, the designers offered little to no guidance—they were there to take input, not provide expertise, which defeats the purpose entirely. At times, we were given incorrect options or no real choices at all. To this day, several items remain unresolved. A damaged dual range identified during the walkthrough has still not been addressed, despite repeated follow-ups. Additionally, key elements—such as trims and finishes that are standard in the same model homes—are missing from ours. From start to finish, this experience has been marked by poor quality materials, unprofessional contractors, ineffective design support, and lack of accountability from the builder. We were promised gold, but what we got was brass.

I had a wonderful experience from the very beginning when I met [name removed] who actually assisted me with signing my contract and from there I’ve worked with two other Builder managers, but my final builder manager [name removed] was the absolute nicest and the icing on the cake. [name removed] was very attentive, patient and extremely knowledgeable about the work. I could call [name removed] at any time and he would always respond in a timely manner. I also worked in the past with [name removed] and [name removed] and honestly those two individuals were just as responsive and had great customer service too. I had a great experience with the entire team and I don’t wanna forget the other [name removed] who is the warranty gentleman and his customer service was excellent too. Funny thing, I came to [name removed] looking for a home, but I found so much more. I found a community with a winning team of leaders. I am forever thankful to Grand Homes for helping me build my legacy from my children and my children’s children. Thank you, [name removed]

We like the warranty reps we have met thus far. We dislike the design Studio and the quality of products/workmanship of things such aa the flooring and doorknobs.

The initial (before design center) interactions on pricing, cost of options, deposit requirements and HOA restrictions was a bit bumpy. It was all resolved timely, but did break the flow of a great experience.

The experience was great at the very beginning, especially before signing the agreement. After signing, some issues arose leading up to move-in. While many problems were eventually resolved, the post-contract phase could have been handled more smoothly. However, [name removed], the contractor responsible for my home, was incredibly helpful, supportive, and a pleasure to work with, he truly made the process easier.

The follow up on issues that have arisen has been very inconsistent. It took months to get a resolution on it and still when everything was done no one from the "corporate office" contacted us to confirm all the work was done completely. Questions were left unanswered and I still have an open issue regarding the constant trampling of our drip irrigation system by Grand Home construction crews across the street that has not had follow up. We have had - since Nov - three warranty reps so there is no continuity of service. The sales process was fantastic but the design experience with [name removed] was unremarkable in every way - at every turn there was a surprise or lack of disclosure. It's a shame.

I greatly appreciated that [name removed], the construction manager, was consistently communicative throughout the entire process and took the time to address any concerns I had. He, along with [name removed], the sales manager, has continued to respond promptly to my questions even after the move-in process, which speaks volumes about their commitment to customer service. While there were a few minor cosmetic issues, the overall quality of the home turned out very well. Their dedication, professionalism, and follow-through made a meaningful difference in my experience. I truly believe [name removed] and [name removed] are invaluable assets to the company and play a significant role in its success. With that said, I would gladly choose Grand Homes again for a future home and sincerely hope that [name removed] and [name removed] will still be there to be part of the process
