The vision was there and the people were always helpful, unfortunately the subcontractors used made frequent errors (or did not show for repairs) that required further appointments that also did not fix problems. There is so much that is right, but you can't charge a premium price and not deliver a premium product.

The home is truly Grand in every way. Grand Home staffs and management are outstanding. They are very supportive from the beginning of the contract till closing.

I really like the fact that so far any issues that have come up have been dealt with in a prompt manner. Our warranty rep, [name removed], has been very responsive to any of our request and needs. We are very pleased with our interactions with [name removed]. He is really good at what he does. One thing Grand homes can improve upon is the outdated back end infrastructure to stream line things. I feel like Grand homes is running on windows 98 operating software if you will. It would be nice if we can interact on a Grand Homes portal for all submissions, requests, updates, etc.

Positive, [name removed] was amazing, and [name removed] was too! The levels of communcation were top notch. Post closng [name removed] has been great too! Escrow team at Chicago was stellar. If I had any feedback that was not positive it was that I only spoke w the Loan officer from GH Lending one time. [name removed] the processor was amazing, and JT helped out when the loan started moving, however, did not feel like we mattered at all to the loan officer. When we were asking for some help at the end on timing, he was non-existent.

What I disliked most about the process was working with our [name removed] [name removed] Sales Representative. [name removed] was absolutely a lovely and kind person but was clueless about the properties and what to expect when purchasing our nearly million-dollar home. This is a luxury neighborhood, we expected a high level of service and understanding that comes with a purchase of this magnitude. We needed someone with knowledge to guide us most critically during the sales process. Her lack of knowledge made us unconfident in the purchase that we were making. We showed up day 1 knowing that we wanted to pick a home in Providence Cove and we almost walked because of this. She didn't know what came with a home vs. what was an upgrade - Down to the point we started asking "do the doors come with handles?" & "Are there standard back splashes?" and she did not know. We were worried that nothing would come with the build (because of her lack of knowledge) and it would be a money pit. Luckily, her boss got involved, [name removed], when we started voicing our concerns and potential to walk - [name removed], on the other hand, did a phenomenal job explaining everything to us and provided the information and comfort that we needed moving forward. [name removed] from that point worked with us the rest of the way, including on designing her bar, and gave us the service and support that we expected from sales. She walked us through everything that would be included in the home vs. upgrade and the process. [name removed] didn't understand this and could not have guided us without her boss. [name removed] needs trainings on the properties and process of [name removed] [name removed]. She truly is a nice person, I hope that she can get there but we were not satisfied.

The salesperson does need to be more button up on details and communication. I’ve been a sales leader for 20 years and saw immediate weaknesses on transparency and product knowledge

I liked the wide range of design otions, and the ability to change the architectural plans. There was not much I disliked, but to answer the question, I disliked some of how the builder, [name removed], performed and the answers he gave for my questions during the build.

CEO and Regional Manager were incompetent. Of the >7 homes we purchased over the last 20 years, this was the worst experience. We felt it was a bait and switch situation.

The overall experience if we are counting was was told to us at the contract signing and the design center phase and some key items that were missing was not the best, but once we got in things we're better and the team has worked really hard to resolve issues and check in with us on how everything is going.

How willing [name removed] was to work with us when any issues arose. Our salesman [name removed] was so friendly and tried to get approved any changes we wanted. In my opinion the Design Center could have more choices of colors and design in the mid range. Also it needs to be stated several times that what is decided in sales is the final say of what can and can’t be done.
