Our original sales agent left not long after we signed the contract and the sales agent assigned to help us ([name removed]) was completely unhelpful. After a super confusing pre-construction call, we weren’t even told work had started on the house. I had a friend drive by and learned the house was in the timber phase. This incompetence continued for the entire time. We reported things done incorrectly in the house, she never told the builder so he had no idea there was anything that needed correcting, including the wrong kitchen sink.

Cabinets are cheap material, uneven and warped. Improper cheap painting. We have white cabinets and you cans still see the red of the primer. The whole house was painted by DIY guys. Had to call my warranty guy to have several repairs retouched again. A/C unit had a loud noise and they came back to repair it and still waiting for sheet rock guys to come back to repair. You really get builders grade stuff for everything…as a matter of fact, one of the workers told me this exact thing, obviously I won’t mention who said to protect him from his job. The design team, the way the process was…was a horrible experience. We wanted to add several things and she said it’s too expensive just do it after you close. Never suggested things we could add and never knew you could add certain things. I would had much rather buy the house as a shell and we would have had renovations afterwards just like the lady at design suggested. (Surprise she even suggested it.)

Like: Quality of home is exceptional. Dislike: The entire process was frustrating as there was a lack communication from GrandHomes. No one would answer questions in a timely manner, or answer us at all in some cases. Many things were not communicated until we reached out and chased various people down. The [name removed] [name removed] appointment was disappointing because the designer did not have things put together. For example, if we would ask any specific questions about certain designs or customization, it would take them quite some time to find the paper with that information. Firstly, in order to make the process more efficient, the customizations should have bee electronically available during the appointment (such as on an iPad) and emailed to the clients prior to the appointment. This way, the clients would have had a better idea of what potential customizations were available and the [name removed] [name removed] representative would not need to take an extremely long time looking for information and writing selections down on various papers. Plus, we were not given all of the options for customizations during the design appointment. Builder and sales rep did not communicate correct information regarding one of the customizations we opted for, which was the covered patio.

Overall experience with [name removed] Homes are mostly positive. Especially, after sales warranty support has been awesome. [name removed] who are in charge of the warranty are nothing short of amazing. He took care of every single concern with priority. Only thing, we didn't like was the lack of communication with proper closing date for the house that put us into some difficult situation at that time, this would not cloud my judgement of all the positive experiences we've had with the [name removed] Homes. However, after closing, we've got the best possible service. Again mentioning [name removed] from [name removed] Homes who have been amazing resolving issues that we had in the past 11 months.

She was accommodating and personable.[name removed] from the [name removed] [name removed] was so nice and she really helped us paint a picture of the home we want to see.My Builder [name removed] was very responsive and knowledgeable. He provided so many insights on what we need to make our home what we want it to be. He went above and beyond to do what is in the contract. [name removed] the warranty guy was very helpful. My main dislike is the [name removed] [name removed] [name removed] guy. I was the one who reached out to him to start the loan. After sending him my requirements, he ghosted me for months. Only to email me one time to say he is having a hard time getting a loan for me. It was such a nightmare. I could have looked for other lenders and have time to shop around but him not upfront and he left us hanging. We almost lost the house because of his irresponsibility and his lack of caring for the homeowner since he will not make money. [name removed] [name removed] should have a better loans person.

After signing contract it took more than 3 months before broke ground. There were multiple delays on completion of the house due to supply issues.

There are lot of things I am finding within couple months. [name removed] is trying his best to take care of things but things are unresolved. Also just couple of things to call out. Lots of joints in the house showing cracks as the feelings (caulking) is not proper. Attic Door doesnt seal properly and also compression needs to be changed as the repairman called it out when he came to work on Attic door and 5 months later he hasnt returned. Missing Door between Laundry and hallway. powder bath door doesnt close. floor has still paint dots lot of places which wasnt cleaned thoroughly. Yard has sprinkler pipe showing around the foundation which supposed to be buried so the pipe wont be damaged during [name removed] mow or any other yard work. The neighbour house was still under construction so that side of yard and fence had all the concrete all over them and need to be fixed. The front side of Yard where city asked to fixed the walkway there is hole in yard missing Soil and grass. These are only some I could remember and keep track of during this review. Please let me know who from corporate i should hear to resolve the customer satisfaction. Thank you.

We had 3 builders, one of which refused communication for over a month. We had 3 framers, over of which no called no showed for weeks, with no action from [name removed] Homes. This has also caused issues with the build quality. Our walls aren't straight. It is very apparent with the wood floors. We were given dozens of completion dates. The entire build took 507 days.

We were completely mistreated towards closing and there were a lot of work that were not done right. We closed October 29, and as of December 20, there's still work left to complete. There was no care about our experience and the only focus was to close so everyone can get their bonus and move on. I will NEVER recommend [name removed] Home. So disappointing. There's a lot of over promising and under deriving. The utter dismissals and disregard for us as customers is truly heart breaking.

In the personal selections phase, my my consultant did not make me aware of all of the options that were available to me when designing my home. Had a not been for the fact that I have been through this process once before on a different bill with [name removed] Homes the things that I do have in my home right now would not have been included. I even had to remind her when we were done that she did not walk through the choices in the bathroom with me or anything related to fixtures. She was just going to choose what she thought was best for me I guess based on her past experience without even consulting me. I raise this point to her and we didn’t go back and she walked me through the options for the bathroom but again headed not been through this process I would not of even known that that was something that I was supposed to be given the opportunity to select. In the construction phase I was disappointed that I had several building supervisors which prolonged the build process and resulted in numerous construction issues. I had to come and check on the work EVERY WEEK, and I was always finding something. I felt like I was the PM much of the time. If it weren’t for my salesperson [name removed], who went to bat for me many many times to get things right(not his job) this process would have been a complete nightmare. Based on my first experience with [name removed] I felt like I had top-notch supervisors who were concerned about the quality of work being done in my home. This go round however the quality of building supervisor was haphazard and for me it didn’t turn around until the very end with my final building supervisor. I believe that [name removed] should strive to provide a more consistent build experience for all the homeowners

My very last builder [name removed] is an effective communicator, returns calls in a timely manner and his example should be emulated across the company. The quality of the workmanship and attention to detail is lacking. Second, we have the same exact model of our house one the side and backside of our home. The brick that was chose by the other home is almost the same. There needs to be rules on building the same exact floor plan clustered up to one another. The quality of the workmanship and attention to detail is lacking. Second, we have the same exact model of our house one the side and backside of our home. The brick that was chose by the other home is almost the same. There needs to be rules on building the same exact floor plan clustered up to one another. I wouldn’t of build here if we thought [name removed] would be uncaring about these facts.
