No one knows more about a homebuilder's quality and service than the builder's customers.

Since 1984, Eliant has been independently evaluating the performance of homebuilders across the U.S., Canada, and the Middle East:

  • We ask recent homebuyers to evaluate their builder's purchase process.
  • Then, we ask homeowners to evaluate their builder's quality and service (1) after the first 5-months in the home, and (2) again at the end of the first year.

In "Homebuilder Customer Reviews", we present the ratings and comments collected from new-home buyers at these three points in time.

[name removed] is great guy. Lot of respect for him. In the beginning there were road bumps as there was different builder. However as soon as [name removed] came on board, things got really smooth. He is such a genuine and honest person. Always understand your concern and try his best to address them. If I will buy Grand home again, I will make sure he is builder. [name removed] is Awesome too. She went beyond and above to help. She is dedicated and spend lot of time to help you. [name removed] at design center wonderful. And absolutely [name removed] is great guy. He was really involved in taking care of issues before closing. He is very knowledgeable.

The entire experience has been horrible and continues to be horrible, even after move-in as we continue to find numerous things that were done incorrectly or not completed with the home, and even the workmanship of “warranty” work is terrible and unreliable. The only pleasantries have the experience have been our sales rep [name removed] and closing coordinator we communicated with, [name removed].

Design studio. That experience was horrible. It felt super rushed. Later I learned they are not part of Grand Homes. So i am not rating them with this. What we really liked was everyone else we met. [name removed] (our sales rep) was always there, even on her days off to answer our calls. And [name removed] (our builder) went about and beyond to make us happy. If it was not for him. He completely turned our experience with design center around. If it was not for him, we will be giving a completely different rating for Grand Homes.

The sales person [name removed] and [name removed] are super . They made the sale transaction easy for me. [name removed] and [name removed] great as well taking care of the issues promptly. [name removed] at the warranty dept very attentive and focus , knowledgeable . Overall i am happy with Grand homes process beginning to end.

Throughout the entire process, I was kept informed about every stage of the process. [name removed] and [name removed], kept my wife and I in the loop on every thing that was occurring with our new home from photos and texting, they answered our calls whenever we had questions. Since we were buying from out of town, and we chose to build a model never built before ( Grand Riverside) we were treated as if we were already in Texas and could stop anytime, their communication was and still is TOP TIER!!. Even after we have settled in our new , their customer service has never stop. Grand Homes the two mentioned above are what customer service looks like, Bravo Gentlemen.

The entire sales process and builder [name removed] did an amazing job. If I were to buy again, I would buy another Grand home if I had to do it over again. I met with 15 builders and Grand home was the best option.

I liked the Financial flexibility in terms of placing a deposit down and working with me until my retirement money was ready to use Great communication through the building process. [name removed] sent lots of pictures and encouraged us to visit as much as possible. We felt a part of the process. The design center was fabulous. [name removed] was supportive and made the process enjoyable, and easy to understand. I disliked not having a consistent sales rep and builder from start to finish. I didn't like being told I couldn't add a structural upgrade that I truly wanted after I signed the contract. I felt I didn't have enough time to process everything and I felt rushed by the first sales rep that worked with me.

Many many many hurdles and setbacks. The process started off great until construction started. The layout of the home front turet was short by 2’. Once it was pointed out, the first builder we dealt with, [name removed], stated it was right. Construction proceeded and the windows on the turet were offset three times. After [name removed] was let go, we had [name removed] and he addressed my issues and concerns, however, a lot of things were missed. We then had [name removed] who has been outstanding through the last part of the home build. Her eye for detail caught a lot of things that were not correct in the home and she rushed to get them resolved in a quickly manner. It has been a frustrating process with Grand homes.
