[name removed], [name removed], and [name removed] were great! They represent grand homes in the best way possible.

We had multiple issues both during the build and post build that seem to just be thrown to the side. During the build we were working with [name removed] as our builder and without our knowledge he quit and then we were assigned a new builder, but were never introduced to the new builder until we said something. We had all these expectations and [name removed] did an amazing job and then right before closing we were told [name removed] and [name removed] were our builders now. Then the week of closing [name removed] was on vacation. We basically had to rush our closing as they were not ready to close on the house, but we already scheduled all these deliveries based on the close date they gave us. We moved across the country twice while building so we did not have flexibility with two kids under 2 and 2 dogs. The rushed closing was not ideal and some items we called out were never really taken care of. Now moving into post closing it feels like everything is a fight to have addressed or fixed. These are million dollar homes and our yard looks like a 12 year old laid our sod down. We were not able to use our back yard for the first month we were here due to the crap job and crap sod laid down. Any time our dogs went out back we had to basically give them a full bath as they were covered in mud just from going to the bathroom. Everything feels like a battle and it shouldnt be this way. I am in the real estate industry and it feels like Grand is understaffed in its most prized neighborhood and continues to shuffle people around. We had 2 landscaping companies come out and tell us basically whoever laid the sod committed illegal activity in the way it was laid. Our 2 year old son found a rusted razor blade in the sod and brought it to us luckily without cutting himself. Our yard is constantly filled with debris due to the lack of care of the builder working on the house next door. I had to go out myself and help drill the plastic make-shift fence as no one at Grand or the contractors cared to fix it. Even after complaining about it we were advised a double fence would be put up and it still has not been put up. The lot on the other side of us flooded mud into our yard by the mailbox and ruined our grass. Grand sent a team to clean it up and put up a fence, but the lawn in that area is ruined. Most recently the gas contractor dug into our irrigation on the other side of our property line and busted the line without saying anything. When I addressed [name removed] and [name removed] about it, I got an attitude from [name removed] saying no workers were even close to our irrigation lines, but they are busted on the other side of the property line and I have pictures/camera footage of the workers digging exactly where the lines are busted. Then [name removed] advised that maybe it was our landscaped who busted the lines. Our landscaper wouldnt be cutting grass or anything on the other side of our property line where there is no grass to cut. All in all it has not been the greatest experience. Customer service lacks most of the time. Some people have been great. [name removed] was great. [name removed] was great. [name removed] helped with our final walks and he did a good job, but he was put in a bad position as this is not his neighborhood. [name removed] supposedly took over our build and my wife and I have yet to even meet him face to face. We wish this would have gone better overall.

Need more time in design. There were things that we would have done had they been mentioned in design. There are things done on the models that seem like they would be standard but are actually extra and not mentioned in design (example: metal trim for tile).

There were several things I did not like. I would have liked better inventory that is in line with Grand’s reputation. Inventory is dated. What are standard with other builders, Grand Homes considered as upgrade. Lacks quality control of trades for Grand’s brand. I had high expectations of Grand and was disappointed during and after the processed.
