It is not user friendly & very hard to follow when you add or delete items. Also the options at the Design center is very limited any what I expected from Grand homes (I.e. for flooring LVP was not available as an option)

What we liked about Grand Homes was design/the product /floor plan they provided are very nice especially the Grand [name removed] (H) that was our favorite plan from start, and we finally made that dream come true, the experience we enjoyed was hands on from plan selection, colors, design to finish it was very nice. For us, this was a great experience because we always purchased our homes already designed finished product. So, it gave us a lot of inserts in learning how the structure is put together, sheetrock, all way to brick, etc. and materials used to complete the home. We appreciate that. What we did not like was the back and forth communication with the sales associates, and design center, was awful, a lot of promises, unable to listen, forgetfulness, by both sales associates, design associates, being pushed a lot to sign documents that were incomplete, which resulted a lot of items missed to be added on the PSA, and lead to miscommunication between all parties involved on the transaction. We believe, if all sales associates, and design associates were on the same page the overall experience would have been the best forever. We experienced rashness from [name removed], “No way can someone make selections being rushed on search a huge home”-then changed to [name removed], it was the waste experience and choice we had ever made, her rudeness, speaking to people with no respect, or regard almost made us give up our dream home. But we happy that we never did, because eventually [name removed] listened and provided us [name removed] who made it possible to complete the transaction smoothly, “we want to extend that gratitude of appreciation to her, Thank you [name removed]! We wish we started with her, this would have been awesome. We feel the level of customer service Grand Home stands for, should be sustained as it states, these employees should not be gossiping about clients, other than serving them or helping them because I am sure that’s what Grand pays them to do. It does feel like some are entitled, their level of performance doesn’t really amount to the product they trying to sell. The reason why I am saying that, some seem to have been on that job for a long time but still do not know the product they selling, or organized, which lead to back and forth a lot. It’s really not the client’s job to remind them of their Job, we did the reminding card of missing items on the PSA, which created a lot of PSA’s and the wrong ones sent to the builder. This should be something they check and make sure all items are added correctly and updated PSA sent to builder to prevent clients from getting frustrated when some wrong items are put in the house. They come off like it’s not their obligation to correctly check the PSA, which it is. That is part of the customer service they should offer to every client no matter how much they pay for the home. They should also treat clients with respect no matter who it is, they should not choose or select who to treat better or give attention too, because everyone buying these homes want to feel important. We recommend more training to be provided to the sales associates, and design associates because they are first face contact with the clients. Getting to the building stage, a lot of back and forth including gossip continued all way to the builders, from our original builder being changed to Tejon, him messing everything up, from changing our chimney with no notification to us, “that was wrong”. The time it changed back to [name removed], so much had transpired. Our home was on its way to be a disaster but we took much time to be their everyday to see nothing else was changed or forgotten, nothing in this world is perfect we clearly understand that but if you communicate with your clients, and be clear with them it would prevent a lot of frustrations all these clients in the same community were experiencing. in spite of everything that transpired, our home came out beautiful. Again, we happy to have not given up, because at the end Mr. [name removed] came in and made everything perfect. “So, thank you so much Mr. [name removed]”. Despite of the horrible experience in the beginning. We really want to thank everyone that helped in building our beautiful home. We Love our home, and we would be happy to build another home with Grand home. At that time, we know training would have been offered to the sales/design associates on the front end. Last but not least: The feedback I would share with Grand Home on this, “We feel when the employees provide fake promises to clients, or forget to add an item on PSA, if the client has proof, they should have them pay for their mistakes, by taking it out from their pay, maybe this could stop fake promises, clients complaining, upset, and frustrations. It would help them pay close attention to their jobs, and probably be good listeners, and do less talking to prevent errors. Delay in construction was difficult to manage. My last builder, [name removed], and production manager, [name removed], were instrumental in helping finish the house. They have done a great job in fixing any issues that arose and doing them in a timely manager.

The ability to rapidly overcome challenges during the build. The pandemic put added an unexpected hurdle in some supplies but the builder did a wonderful job communicating with me. I was out of the country during my entire build, which added another of stress but the Grand Homes team really did an amazing job to ease my worries.

We absolutely LOVED our builder, Darrin!! He was an absolute gem!! His attention to detail and thoroughness are second to now! I struggle to find anything we disliked because every issue that arose Darrin handled it expeditiously! He went far above and beyond what we expected. And to this day we still him occasionally and he is always willing to help with anything!!! He is phenomenal!

Darrin Cutler is awesome, very thorough and a responsible builder. He followed through on any issues we noticed even after we moved in. He is a great asset to Grand Homes. Mike was great to work with during the contract execution and building period. Paola Lozano is a very creative designer and helped us making appropriate selections during design phase. Our referral (my brother Jinson Johnson - a current Grand Home Owner in Sachse) has not received his referral bonus yet. Sounds like they can not locate the form we filled out on April 21, 2020. Hopefully, Grand Home will honor the promise.

The people have been extraordinary! I have never experienced customer service like the kind given at Grand!! The builder, Darrin, in our community has been beyond exceptional! He has far exceeded what I would expect from a builder! He is always available, quickly returns your phone calls and has a remedy for every problem. I honestly don’t think our experience with Grand would be the same if he were not involved, he has made ALL the difference!

However, the builder who was assigned to oversee everything was very detailed and thorough. He informed me of every step and kept me up to date when things happened. Not only that, if I didn’t like something, he did his best to ensure I was satisfied.

The Builder!!! Darrin Cutler!!!! When we first met him, he enthusiastically told us all about the community and specifically mentioned all our neighbors by name. He knew their families, their jobs, and their hobbies. And I thought "how does this guy know everyone?" Well through the course of the build I found out how. Darrin takes his time to know the customer!! He REALLY loves Grand Homes and he wants you, the customer, to love Grand too! He is absolutely phenomenal and goes above and beyond- from the little details such as remembering your name to the big details of building the house.

The best part was how helpful Darrin has been after closing. Everybody says “don’t close until the punch list is complete because you’ll never hear from your builder after they have your money”, but Darrin has been the complete opposite of that. He has been incredibly responsive and helpful, more than even before we closed!
