My only issue concerns the forecasted completion/closing date. I contracted for my Grand Estate in November 2020. Was told to expect project completion a year later (November 2021). My wife and I relocated from Hawaii to North Texas in November 2021. On November 12 we were told we'd move in before Thanksgiving. Next, it was before Christmas. When all was said and done we closed on February, 2022. The delayed closings caused us to rent Air B&B facilities at great expense for four months. What's more, I had to pay $2500.00 per month in storage fees for my household goods, i.e. furniture. So, my additional out of pocket expenses exceeded $26, 000.00. When one is retired and living on fixed income pensions unplanned expenditures of that magnitude 'hurts'. I am sure you understand.

Irrespective of supply chain issues due to pandemic. [name removed] is very helpful and he is addressing all our warranty issues with proper care and concern.
Parker, on Jan 25, 2023
Experience of construction manager and his dedication to our home was not satisfactory. He is no longer with Grand Homes.
Parker, TX, on Mar 15, 2022
Poor communication within the organization and to the customer. Multiple mistakes that Grand Homes deliberately blames on the Buyer. Grand Homes has poor quality control. Too many times we raised complaints on the quality/aesthetics--it takes multiple prompting to receive a reply/action.

I am well pleased with Grand Homes warranty service. That said, Mr. [name removed] has gone out of his way to take care of several, rather significant 'problems' with our Grand Estate model home. The problems just alluded to will be discussed in detail in a letter I am preparing for Grand Homes senior leadership/corporate management.

Like: Working with the Design [name removed] (especially [name removed]), sales staff (especially [name removed] and [name removed]), our third builder ([name removed]) and the home warranty representative, [name removed]. Dislike: The fact that it has taken 10 months to make all required repairs. What's more, my wife and I are disappointed with management. Two months ago we addressed management via formal correspondence, i.e. a letter, past/present/ongoing problems, as well as praise for three of the individuals mentioned above. We deserve a response and welcome the opportunity to meet with management face to face.

The crews are awesome! Very knowledge and professional. Sale consultant- [name removed], [name removed], and Warranty Department- [name removed], were all above and beyond. Everything turned out really good. There were some flaws, but they took care the issues really quick and satisfied. Thank you all again !

We had good contact with our seller but everything else was downhill from there. Multiple builders who were apathetic and constantly unable to fulfill their basic duties. Entire process was stressful and felt extremely rushed. We are over 4 months from move in and still are not “moved” in as we are still waiting for master shower fixes and other house completion projects.
Parker, TX, on Jun 29, 2021
We have built homes in the past and this is by far the worst experience we have ever had. We are now hiring a lawyer because the representative and contractor refuse to do what is stated in our contract. Our oven has not worked since we moved in two months ago, our requests are ignored, work we have paid for not completed, no supervision during the build resulting in damaged marble floors, incorrect flooring installed, improperly sliding glass doors installed, outlets not inspected and not working, waited on four separate occasions for workers to show and they did not. We were then told everything now was a warranty issue, asked [name removed] to come out to see the numinous things still needing to be completed and he never showed up. We hired our own inspector, who found many things were not in compliance when we were due to close. This was supposed to be our dream home and it’s been a nightmare. I would never recommend to anyone to ever buy a Grand home based upon what we have experienced and are continuing to deal with.

Great overall. Awesome friendly staff that are genuinely focused on ensuring the customer is happy.
Parker, on Jan 30, 2022
I still have a few items that needs to be addressed and I'm sure will be completed.
Parker, TX, on Jan 07, 2021
are communication with the builder was horrible, multiple errors made that had been addressed numerous times by us, we were just ignored in our say and like, even through our final walk thru our builder walked out of our meeting because he got upset and left us to be lost, all items that we wanted address were not and we have no other options then to just close because we didn't have time to wait anymore for the builder to try to fix, now these are items that I am having to take on to fix right. Very disappointed in Grand over all and our builder. [name removed] are Sales person was helpful and tried her best to help which we appreciate.

Like: Love the floorplan. Dislikes: quality is terrible for something that cost almost a $1M. Painting, cabinets, tile, wood flooring, lighting/ceiling fans, landscaping are all poor craftmanship. Poor finish selections. We have lived in houses much, much cheaper with better quality and pride. We were lied to about ability of where we could put our fence on the lot and lost 30% of our acre property. We requested numerous meetings with Grand to discuss the lot and drainage easements and were ignored. examples of poor craftsmanship: wood floors chipping, trim in all rooms is separating, the cabinets separating from wall, cabinet drawers are not flush and do not close all the way, cooktop is not flush and has gaps, ceiling fans are basic and what you would put in $200k house, tile floors still have grout all over, plywood buckling upstairs causing carpet ripple, bath tub chipped and rust from damage while under construction, landscape died within a couple months of putting in, cracked window frames, etc..

Quality used at home is cheap! Didn’t provide enough facilities, compare to shadock home unpaid regular entrance is very narrow and veryy difficult to in out. 50% of the corner of Home starts cracking everywhere within 3 months. [name removed] very satisfied!
Parker, TX, on Oct 31, 2020
As I had already called out in the other survey, quality of workmanship is definitely something that needs to be much better for a home in this price range.
Allen, on Mar 29, 2021
We decided on home based on a plan on paper, wish some rooms were bigger, like the laundry room etc, our laundry room turned out be very inconvenient to go in and out
Parker, TX, on Aug 13, 2020
I LOVED my seller, [name removed] and my builder, [name removed]. I mean I absolutely love them. They’ve both been the glue to keep things going. They were a pleasure to work with along the way. As for feedback, I’d say the design center is lacking in options (BIG TIME). In addition, I’d suggest service provide all options vs the customer coming up with ideas. One example of that is landscape lights and up lights. If we don’t think of them, it’s not mentioned.

Quality and craftsmanship could be better a lot better for the price I'd paid for the house.

Builder, [name removed] & Sales Agent [name removed], they were very helpful.
Parker, TX, on Jan 07, 2020
The home plan is beautiful; however, it was oversold in the neighborhood. The house was rushed through the finishing process and thus, errors. Windows were dirty during the walk through and when cleaned, we noticed many scratches. The backyard was not graded as promised. It had been raining when we closed, but they never came back to grade it. The garage doors have openings at the bottom big enough for rodents to walk in without squeezing. It was requested that this be fixed prior to closing and never was. The ceiling has cracks in it. Ugh, there is also much debris from houses being built across the street and the workers do not pick up after themselves.

The individuals who worked with us, watched over our home while it was being built, and helped with repairs after we moved in are the reason why we love our home so much. [name removed], [name removed], and [name removed] made us feel like we were the most important family and that our home was their number one priority. Even knowing they are working with other families and homes, we always felt very well taken care of every time we reached out to any of them. Warranty guy does come but sometimes things don't get done like the roof metal of the house has not been painted. One area of the house has no gutters so all the water gets accumulated and i worry about the foundation of the house. It is a simple fix but has not been done yet.

They have been great to deal with and are always happy to help.
