Workmanship was subpar, my construction was rushed. Whoever the QA person is for Grand Homes was just collecting a check. The person in charge of tracking the completion of my home was fired. The lone bright spot was [name removed]. I regret the decision to not refuse accepting the house until all the problems were fixed. Once I closed, I was no longer a priority to Grand Homes.

I loved all the updates I received via email and text every step of the way. I don’t like how the price went down after I signed my contract and I couldn’t get it at the listing price.

We love the house, move in was awesome. Staff have been wonderful and very attentive. Only dissatisfaction we have is that we were told that there is only electric stove here in [name removed] city while one of my friends that live in the same city have gas.

[name removed] has been on top of everything when we call for an issue. She gets a 10. The quality of the house is my problem. We have cracks issues and have had AC problems multiple times and the roof was a scare with the amount of water coming in at one point. Customer service is great. Best I’ve had.

My salesperson and my builder changed in the middle of things so that made it kind of confusing at first but the people who replaced them were fantastic.

The sales ladies were simply amazing . Following the sale and including the closing [name removed] the builder was superb. I also recently met with [name removed] the lady associated with the warranty was very informative. [name removed] , has gone above and beyond and deserve a raise . She represents your company well

My building process was rushed. A lot of promises unfulfilled and the work quality was poor. But, once you close you aren't a priority and it falls on "home warranty" to fix.

Things we like are the staircase, floating Game room, and high Ceilings. Experience with [name removed] from warranty was good. She helped to fix the fireplace and also helped to remove a big piece of wood from Bathroom #4. Grand Home was able to help with some of the closing costs for interest buy-down. Things we don't like are as below: (1)Our Experience with the Sales Team: We were never given any options that we wanted to add after sending [name removed]. We were promised by ([name removed]-Sales Person) that we could add options later but when we tried to add them we were never allowed. We tried to talk to Manager [name removed] and she was not of too much help on this matter of adding options from the beginning. Also, we found out about the options by looking at some other models in the neighborhood, and those options/information were never provided to us. The only option we were allowed was to make a study room which also was sneaked in due to Grand Home not being able to build a covered Patio. We wanted to change Lot after a couple of days of sending [name removed] and we were told that it is only possible after making a payment of $10,000. At this time we were allowed to add Pantry expansion. (2) Bedrooms felt to be smaller in size, especially for houses this big. They could have been a little bigger. (3) The Main Entrance Door could have been bigger. We had to return a bigger size refrigerator since it didn't pass through the door. (4) The backyard is very sloppy compared to neighbor homes. No actions were taken even after bringing that up. We would not have paid $10,000 extra to get this lot if we knew it would be very sloppy on the back. Kids can't enjoy the backyard (5) We were also not given options to extend the Fence for more privacy on the sides. (6) The quality of materials could have been better (7) The Design Center should have more options to choose from. Move In Day Chaos: Due to Closing Date changes, we had to deal with lots of things like Tenants and the delivery of Furniture and Appliances. Also, Kids were not able to go to school for about a week. Also due to the Title Company change at the last moment, all the paperwork was not done properly and as a result, we along with the moving company had to wait for 5 hours outside the house. We were able to get our keys after 5 hours of waiting outside the new built house

I want to start by thanking [name removed] and [name removed](Sales representatives) as they were very helpful and supportive starting from deciding the lot, understanding our needs for the floor plan, and suggesting changes, going over the contract and its details, and weekly progress update videos. Then I want to thank [name removed], since she took over as builder for our home our path was very smooth till the closing date as she was quick to respond to any query we had and she always listened to our problem and tried to provide the fix as soon as she could. We feel that our design center appointment could have been better as looking back we think that we would have made some changes if it had been explained properly at the time of the appointment. Our closing experience was not great as closing was delayed, the title company got changed 2 days before closing, and not all the documents were sent correctly to the new title company so we had to wait an entire day at the title company office for the corrections.
