The entire process of selecting the model we liked, signing the contract, building the house, and closing was very easy. The entire Grand Homes team was a pleasure to work with and incredibly helpful

I want to be very direct and honest about our experience. For a $2.1M home, the interior materials and overall workmanship are far below expectations. The quality of the cabinetry, in particular, is unacceptable. It is evident that the cabinetry was subcontracted to the wrong company. The finishes, alignment, and overall execution do not reflect the standards expected at this price point. The wood flooring was not delivered in polished condition. There are paint drips, splatters, and visible imperfections throughout. More concerning, some sections of the wood flooring are sticking out. These are issues we only discovered after moving in, which makes it even more frustrating. The kitchen backsplash is another major disappointment. For a home of this value, I expected a full slab backsplash, not segmented pieces. I have seen custom builders deliver far superior kitchens in homes valued around $1M. Seeing that level of craftsmanship elsewhere made me immediately regret choosing Grand Homes. I cannot confidently invite friends or guests to see our home because the quality simply does not reflect what we paid for. The driveway situation was also handled poorly. We were not given a proper opportunity to design or adjust it during the process. The driveway was initially too narrow and unsafe, with a risk of vehicles slipping off the edge. Instead of resolving this during construction, I was forced to pay an additional $5,000 to correct it. I would have willingly paid for upgrades upfront if I had been given the opportunity to design it correctly from the beginning. The baseboards and trim work throughout the home also appear cheap and out of place for a home at this price level. These details significantly impact the overall perception and quality of the home. Overall, this has not been the enjoyable experience we expected when building our home. This is not about being against the company — it is about the clear gap between the price paid and the quality delivered. The frustration stems from poor workmanship and substandard materials and finishes. We chose Grand Homes because of its reputation, particularly regarding structural quality, and we trusted that the same level of excellence would apply to the finishes and craftsmanship. Unfortunately, that has not been our experience. I do want to acknowledge that [name removed] has been helpful toward the end and has been doing his job professionally. However, there were still issues, such as being initially provided the wrong elevation until I personally noticed and raised the concern. This letter reflects our genuine disappointment and frustration. At this price point, the home should reflect premium craftsmanship, attention to detail, and pride in execution. That standard has not been met.

Liked the personalized touch. Entire team made sure to accommodate to make this home functional and up to our standard. Very kind and hardworking team. Disliked that the finishes still could have been cleaner (grout lines, tile side cuts, cabinet smooth finish etc) materials feel subpar compared to price we paid.

From start to finish, everything about the purchase experience went smoothly and was handled professionally. What stood out the most was "[name removed]", who consistently went the extra mile and quickly resolved any issues that came up. I also want to highlight "[name removed]", who was always available to answer any questions and made sure we felt supported throughout the process. Both made the experience stress-free and enjoyable.

Window for orientation, inspection and closing was less than a week which made it challenging for document review and fixes. Liked everything else.

How I wish that I should have been consulted before some important elements was installed. Though Builder was changed which caused some co-ordinationation issues, GH team finally caught up with the issues and successfully completed the project. GH builders educated me about technological updates and resolved things amicably. Finally we must mention that GH Builders took pride, ownership of their project and delivered the house, despite of some complications.

I loved [name removed], [name removed], and [name removed]. They've been extremely wonderful to me... Very responsive and caring. On the other hand, the experience of building a home was initially frought with mistakes and inaccurate descriptions including actual land size (we were told something entirely different and it's currently in dispute) as well as some building materials and flaws in construction that were ultimately remedied but cost us money in terms of daily rate lock fees amongst other headaches.

[name removed] was super professional and a joy to work with. He was super organized, efficient, communicated often, and answered any questions we had promptly. I would build another Grand Home in a minute, but I don’t plan to leave this one ever. It is truly our dream home.

I recently purchased a new-build home through Grand Homes, and my experience with the physical home itself was very positive. The process from contract to move-in was smooth, and I appreciated the transparency and professionalism of the builders. The home’s quality met my expectations, and I felt that Grand Homes handled the construction and design process well. However, a major issue in my experience was the financial aspect, particularly dealing with the lenders during the closing process. The communication was unclear, and at times, conversations felt unprofessional and even rude. This made what should have been an exciting time unnecessarily stressful. Unfortunately, this negative experience with the lenders overshadowed an otherwise smooth home-buying journey. I would recommend Grand Homes for their quality and transparency in the building process, but I would advise future buyers to be cautious and prepared when dealing with the financial side of the purchase.

Poor quality construction materials used for house over $1M. Garage can't even fit a normal car, which is ridiculous. Grand Homes never share exact measurements upfront.

The initial purchase decision was well handled. But the loan process, rate lock and closing was very mishandled due miscommunication between the loan officer and the grand homes office staff because of which I had to go through the process of paying penalty of rate lock vs choosing the worse rate, extension of closing and several very anxious calls and meetings with the team to bring them together. [name removed] and [name removed] were helpful and patient with the process. I just wished that the mortgage side and the grand home side would have worked together to avoid the unnecessary complication that arouse with closing and mortgage. The hands on maintenance and construction team namely [name removed] has been very helpful at each and every step, very prompt, responsive and present with fixing every mechanical and structural issues. It has been a great relief to have such kind of support from grand homes for the initial move in. Thank you !
