Our story begins in 1955 with a simple belief: that we could build better places to live, work and play, one home and one relationship at a time. Since then, The Minto Group has successfully built a fully-integrated real estate company that can meet the needs of any individual, family, investor or business. I think the building crews leave too much trash behind, both from construction and from general 'down time'. i.e. plastic water bottles thrown on the grounds, wrappers, and construction debris that blows into pool area. I don't know if this is a builder problem, or HOA problem.

Sending workers multiple times to fix the same item and not having that item fixed properly. This results in a frustrating loss of our time plus we have to clean up after them and possibly live with matters being made worse than the original condition.

I had a catastrophic family health event right after closing. [removed] and his team ([removed]/Evens) did a fantastic job of communicating and coordinating punch-list items. This ensured our new home was not a point of stress with everything else that was going on allowing me to focus on my wife's health. I sincely apprecate the efforts of this building team and the sincerity of ensuring the workmanship was done with a sense of pride!

The workmanship is sloppy in places, doors cut too high, floors settling and cauld used in 1/2 inch layers to "hide," ceiling out of level, wals not completely plumb, but most importantly the darn water/lift station system problems are a huge concern.

Because you asked: Basic construction was good. Finish work was terrible. They had us do an Acceptance Walk-through when house was not completed. Multiple Minto Reps follow-ups were very poor. You have a good product, but finish work and follow-up is not good.

Unacceptable level of Quality in the finishing work and installation of appliances for a building of this type. Example: Our closing was in June 2015; we moved in on December 10, 2015; poor painting; Dishwasher never turned on to test, flooded the floor,ruined the wood floor, dishwasher broke apart and was replaced - so, no dishwasher for two months. Water closet leaked, thru ceiling below onto wood floor in stairway. Microwave damper never installed, so winds blew air into kitchen. Long list of unacceptable or unfinished items inside the home, taking until April 2016 to correct. Landscaping poor; irrigation system has never worked, plants and tree died. We documented all these items as they were discovered, and there was slow response in correcting them. A QUALITY CONTROL TEAM should PROPERLY punch-list the buildings, operate appliances and plumbing fixtures, and correct them BEFORE an Owner moves in.

I have been waiting since last August on issues with my floors. Minto has had [removed] the owner of Manasota Floors out 2 times. I am very unsatisfied with the time it's taking for Minto to make a decision here. As far as were concerned and believe that [removed] is on board there are 2 options. 1. Move us out and replace the floors or provide us a financial settlement.

There is any wall straight in the house. Lanai or screen porc had a flat pitch. We had to take care of it. Builder never recognize it.

The overall quality of construction is very disappointing. Many issues were pointed out to Minto over the past year where broken and damaged materials were used and installed upside down, off center, backwards, not level, etc. I do want you to know that over the past 2 months since [removed] has taken over the repair process he and the trades are doing a great job fixing and repairing all of the defects that should have been fixed by the time we closed.

We would have a difficult time recommending minto because we feel we were mislead about the marina and the overall lack of communication. The main reason we bought in harbour isle was for the marina. Before we purchased our home we were told the marina would be complete by now. Then I received an email stating construction should begin by the end of last year. Now I cannot get an answer from anyone regarding the status of the marina. We were also told mangroves would be cut to 12 feet February 2106 and to 10 feet February 2017. We are hopeful this is still happening but cannot get any confirmation. We have contacted several people with Minto and cannot get any answers.
