Couple of things I didn’t like. The major one was the lack of surge protector in the electrical panel! Two days after my walk through, there was a fire in the kitchen from an overloaded circuit, due to a lightening hit! Cabinets had to replaced, Sheetrock and backsplash tile, too. Additionally, wiring had to be pulled out and replaced! I manage architects, engineers, interior design and the building trades and come from a developers family. The stupidity of NOT putting in a $45 surge protector into EVERY new home built by [name removed] is pure stupidity. The fact that the home in the HH properties are in open susceptible lots, in a geological region known for severe thunder storms and lightning strikes and [name removed] does NOT install these in each home/unit, is unexceptionable! I required a surge protector be installed immediately after the fire. I would not pass papers on April 15th, if it hadn’t been done.

Very accommodating when choosing A and B options. When it came to landscaping issues, responses in the beginning were very slow, and we were patient. As of this date, we have been repeatedly told that no issues were found. Yet dead plants were ripped out of the ground leaving big holes, and eventually were covered up by pine straw. Also, gearing up for final warranty issues, we had an inspector lay out things that had not been resolved from closing inspection. It was suggested we have an HVAC professional inspect an extremely loud compressor. We asked not once, but twice for this to happen. We were told all units are noisy, and some rubber inserts were ordered for us to muffle the sound. But when we had our annual fall checkup, the technician informed us that we needed a new compressor, which has been ordered. This issue is pending.

We had an issue with the French doors in our front room (Escape model), which took some work and expense on Mintos part to resolve - they ended up doing what was right for the design and look of the house rather than what was cheapest and fastest.

I am very satisfied with my experiences with my MasterCare representative, [name removed]! She has great communication skills and has been an asset to me. I am disappointed with the lack of communication from the HOA. Unanswered emails and voicemails. Also, they refuse to provide me with MSDS sheets for the chemicals being used by the landscapers and the pest control companies. I was told that I could "take pictures" of them.

Love the support and responsiveness. Front door was replaced and still closes hard, I’ll bring it up again at my 6 month check in. Garage door keeps going up randomly and it’s a safety issue at night. But hopefully they’ll fix that soon.

1st I wanted to make a minor change which would have not needed any additional materials. But was strongly told that you could not make any changes. I would have never signed those documents if I had know that minor changes could not be made at a cost to me. 2nd the model has a few drawers as part of the sink cabinet. Mine in my unit have none. No one in the designs phases gave ne a chance to upgrade my units. 3. After all the money spent building the house I have experienced 5 of the 6 light bulbs burn out in the first 7 months and 1 of the ceiling lights already go bad. What kind of cheap light bulbs did you put in. My last house I never had to replace any lights bulbs in the last 6 years.

The quality of home is strong. The [name removed] representative [name removed] does a great job responding to issues promptly and resolving same. He should be given much credit. However, undoubtedly the weakest link in the [name removed] chain is the landscaping contractor. They are non responsive and do a below average completing their duties. We went 3 weeks without anyone simply cutting our grass. It’s summer and there is no excuse for their poor workmanship.

A lot of things have been breaking in my new [name removed] and I am afraid that once the warranty expires, I am going to be paying a lot of money for up keep on my new home. I have also asked several times to have my back lawn leveled better with sand and I have had no success. Other then that we live with awesome people and amenities.

Positive...We love all the beautiful landscaping and lagoons in our community. Negative...We wish that sidewalks were installed in all phases/along roadways. Only the cottages have sidewalks, so that leaves the rest of the residents not owning a cottage walking in the streets. That is unsafe.

I totally enjoyed the entire process, from purchase to closing. Everyone was friendly and helpful and made it fun. A couple of small warranty issues arose and they were handled immediately. I love my [name removed] and so does everyone that comes to visit me.

The remainder of the staff throughout the process were also pleasant and efficient. The only thing that was a slight concern is that there was construction still underway on both sides of my home. I would have preferred to have been given the choice to delay my move-in for a later date, under the circumstances. Overall, great experience.
