Our story begins in 1955 with a simple belief: that we could build better places to live, work and play, one home and one relationship at a time. I don't like that you have a 1-10 scale. Were I worked, we had a 1-5 scale. A 3 was for an employee who was just doing their job. If they went above expectations, they got a 4. Very rarely would I give anyone a 5 because there is ALWAYS room for improvement. I also don't like how we are told that anything less than a 10 is a failing grade for the employee. Don't get me wrong, my Mastercare rep has addressed all of my concerns. I only had one bigger issue with my pavers that after some back and forth, eventually did get resolved. My latest concern with a scratch in our glass patio door did not get repaired. I apparently did not notice it soon enough and I was told that it was out of warranty. This was disappointing.

I liked the entire experience however, when we purchased our lot and home we were misguided into thinking there would be more of a greenery behind our home across the water. When we moved in we saw that a lot of trees were removed and/or died as they were clearing for phase 6. when we were shown our lot 2165 there was plenty of green space across the water but it is no longer there. Neighbors on Fins Right Lane also felt they were misguided when they purchased their lots as well. The premium for this lot was over 80,000$$

I signed a contract in July 2025, and didn't hear from the manager of my build until I called him on November 2. No contact about my house at all. My sales rep was GREAT. And My designer, [name removed] was the absoulte BEST. But not getting updates about my home was WRONG!

Home quality could be a lot better. Windows appear to be cheaper than expected. Warranted repairs take a long time and some need to be repeated multiple times. The building superintendent should have caught some of the inferior workmanship during construction.

I didnt really like the sales process with [name removed]. This was my 2nd purchase and liked [name removed] much better on my 1st purchase. Should have used him the 2nd time. I wasn't offered the incentive, which was already out when I purchased. [name removed] said things like "you need to sign this, per management! [name removed] congratulated me on the day of my closing, while [name removed] sent a followup email 18 days later. On the other hand, my Superintendent, [name removed] was excellent and a very good comunicator! Plus he responds very quickly. I couldn't have asked for a better superintendent!

Well... few things...i thought the time in between group a and group b was...rushed...and maybe thats because i am single and had to make every decision by myself...i felt alittle rushed..also..if im correct...this community is about 8 years old...i thought some of group b options were...dated...i would have liked to see more bold colors...this is the one time and probably the last time in our lives that we can make choices. I woyld have lived some blder vanity choices...white..grey..browns are..blah...i would have lived to have had a red vanity or yellow...i also think that i should have been able to pick my grout color..white grout will be yellow in a year...i have had black and white floors done with black grout...its stunning...the last final thing is..hey about group c options for landscape...i get you want everything to look similar and not have one house stand out but there should be options for that.

Quality of work was very poor. Uneven walls and floors. Scheduled workers are no shows. Your assigned Supervisors and Mastercare Reps keep changing and you have to always start at the beginning and prove that you didn’t cause the damage that was supposed to be fixed. One strong example is that the tub was severely damaged upon final walk thru. It was noted and repaired after closing. [name removed] after the repairs were made the compound used started to break down with each use or cleaning of the bath. We reported it along with sagging floors and a few other minor things like a toilet paper holder that was mounted to a seam and went through the wall upon changing toilet paper roll. We were leaving for a few months and our Mastercare [name removed] said that all would be repaired once we returned back to the home. We returned to learn that we had a new [name removed] and at that point we had to provide proof that we did not damage the bath ourselves. We had to justify that we somehow didn’t push the toilet paper holder through the wall intentionally. We were told that only a few scratches would be fixed in the bath. When repair man came to fix bath he said that the original repair was done by using spray paint and improper compounds and said he would have to recoat the entire bath. When it came time for toilet paper holder repair we were told by our MC [name removed] that he will only approve the patching of the wall. No sanding, no painting and that he would not reinstall the toilet paper holder. We understood we were responsible for the painting because we had it painted ourselves. But found it very petty that he would not cover the sanding or installing the toilet paper holder. The drain plug in bathroom sink lays crooked and you have to push the stopper down with your finger to hold the water. Plumber came to fix it and said to us that the faucet was installed too far back and it doesn’t align correctly with drain stopper and would need to be replaced. MC [name removed] said if it holds water when we push it down with our fingers then it is doing its job and will not be replaced. So our brand new home of $600k has a drain stopper that will always sit crookedly and is fine thru Minto Standards. Our dining room accent wall had an inch and 3/4 difference from left to right on the header. Initial repair of that showed a warped support beam. That was solved with having a painter use wood shims and plaster to make the wall appear even. So the quality of work that went into our build was very substandard and disappointing. Our concrete floor throughout the entire home is uneven. When the living room area was being fixed it was proven to have major high and low areas that needed to be leveled. So they had to dig out some areas and build up others. The hassle of having to move all of your furniture and belongings from dining and living room area, the noise, dust and odors from chemicals make you just decide to live with uneven floors in other rooms. We are Senior Citizens and thought we were building a quality home to retire in and that has not been the case.

I liked the entire experience however, when we purchased our lot and home we were misguided into thinking there would be more of a greenery behind our home across the water. When we moved in we saw that a lot of trees were removed and/or died as they were clearing for phase 6. when we were shown our lot 2165 there was plenty of green space across the water but it is no longer there. Neighbors on Fins Right Lane also felt they were misguided when they purchased their lots as well. The premium for this lot was over 80,000$$

Quality of work was very poor. Uneven walls and floors. Scheduled workers are no shows. Your assigned Supervisors and Mastercare Reps keep changing and you have to always start at the beginning and prove that you didn’t cause the damage that was supposed to be fixed. One strong example is that the tub was severely damaged upon final walk thru. It was noted and repaired after closing. [name removed] after the repairs were made the compound used started to break down with each use or cleaning of the bath. We reported it along with sagging floors and a few other minor things like a toilet paper holder that was mounted to a seam and went through the wall upon changing toilet paper roll. We were leaving for a few months and our Mastercare [name removed] said that all would be repaired once we returned back to the home. We returned to learn that we had a new [name removed] and at that point we had to provide proof that we did not damage the bath ourselves. We had to justify that we somehow didn’t push the toilet paper holder through the wall intentionally. We were told that only a few scratches would be fixed in the bath. When repair man came to fix bath he said that the original repair was done by using spray paint and improper compounds and said he would have to recoat the entire bath. When it came time for toilet paper holder repair we were told by our MC [name removed] that he will only approve the patching of the wall. No sanding, no painting and that he would not reinstall the toilet paper holder. We understood we were responsible for the painting because we had it painted ourselves. But found it very petty that he would not cover the sanding or installing the toilet paper holder. The drain plug in bathroom sink lays crooked and you have to push the stopper down with your finger to hold the water. Plumber came to fix it and said to us that the faucet was installed too far back and it doesn’t align correctly with drain stopper and would need to be replaced. MC [name removed] said if it holds water when we push it down with our fingers then it is doing its job and will not be replaced. So our brand new home of $600k has a drain stopper that will always sit crookedly and is fine thru Minto Standards. Our dining room accent wall had an inch and 3/4 difference from left to right on the header. Initial repair of that showed a warped support beam. That was solved with having a painter use wood shims and plaster to make the wall appear even. So the quality of work that went into our build was very substandard and disappointing. Our concrete floor throughout the entire home is uneven. When the living room area was being fixed it was proven to have major high and low areas that needed to be leveled. So they had to dig out some areas and build up others. The hassle of having to move all of your furniture and belongings from dining and living room area, the noise, dust and odors from chemicals make you just decide to live with uneven floors in other rooms. We are Senior Citizens and thought we were building a quality home to retire in and that has not been the case.
