Our story begins in 1955 with a simple belief: that we could build better places to live, work and play, one home and one relationship at a time. Since then, The Minto Group has successfully built a fully-integrated real estate company that can meet the needs of any individual, family, investor or business. I liked the Sales Agent and the Design Consultant very much. [name removed] was a very professional and helpful sales agent. [name removed], the designer, really made the difference in our final selections and the home turned out better than we expected. The Builder, [name removed], was also amazing in his communication and follow up. We were completely confident in [name removed] to build our dream house.

I like the responsiveness to my issues. My supervisor, sales rep and [name removed] rep ([name removed]) were all great. I wish [name removed] had a better plan for sidewalks and for making the community a little more self contained, i.e. another restaurant, a convenience store , for example.

When questions were asked about specific locations or asked to adjust some things that response from the builder was that is way [name removed] does it, that’s how it is in the model. Example: I paid for an extra outlet by the guest bath toilet. They didn’t let me know that the code said it had to be so far from the shower. It was put inside the cabinet, I gave absolutely no use for it there. I asked to have it moved to the top just above the sink. Answer they can’t do that. So, I paid extra for an outlet I can’t use.

We liked the service provided by everyone involved including [name removed], [name removed], [name removed] and others. They were all extremely helpful, quick to respond, and polite. The only complaint we have is how the $5000 incentive was handled. It was not explained well at the beginning that we would need to use one of the approved lenders for the actual mortgage. Then, when we were notified of our closing date, a reminder of the requirements to receive the incentive would have been very helpful. We lost the $5000 incentive because we went with a different lender and by the time we were told we would lose the incentive, it was too late to change because our interest rate would go up and it would have delayed our closing.

We were very pleased with everything, except for a crack in our driveway. It did take some time, but [name removed] kept his promise to us and did not give up on us when the HOA had. He was always available and present for us and we appreciated that more than you will ever know. If [name removed] was not involved with this issue, nothing would have gotten done. [name removed] is an amazing representative because he cares and he delivers. The HOA representative, [name removed], who I would equate to a used car salesman, just "yessed" us to the point of adnauseam. That was very disappointing. This all had to due with a crack in our driveway that was present before we closed. We were assured by our first supervisor, [name removed], (who was beyond amazing to us) that it would be done but was "let go" before it was fixed.

It would have been nice to have been notified when our first construction superintendent was let go and who we would be hearing from for the duration. We learned who our construction superintendent was after our first one was let for once we had gotten here and rented in phase 4 until we closed on our house. We would receive texts from someone but never said who he was and with. So we just thought it was spam.

Some of the quality of the material is not of the highest quality material I.e. Doors are very hollow and Homeowners that don’t have carpet have a huge gap under the door. Cabinets are also a lower quality and very thin. Quality of paint is very low also. Our Mastercare rep [name removed] was excellent and always very responsive with great follow-through.

Had issue where we had to have the ceilings redone on our annual inspection. We had painted our walls prior. The vendor did a poor job at painting and splattered paint on our walls. I took pictures and submitted them to our Mastercare [name removed] and we got a response that it was our issue to repaint. After expressing my displeasure with the response and also with the vendor, I had to explain each picture and how they were not nail pops nor areas that we had requested to get fixed. After reviewing the information the response changed. When time came to repaint our Mastercare rep came out to see the issue and was upset at the quality of work by the vendor and dealt with it. The issue is she was very quick to say it was not [name removed]'s issue but the customer without asking for any clarification until I expressed my displeasure. I would have thought [name removed] representative would have wanted to side or get clarification from the "customer" before automatically siding with the vendor. The vendors are not very reliable. It took 4 times for Valley to get our shower door fixed correctly, the drywall company and painters did a poor job and spoke no English where we could show them what needed to be done or if issue. Our rep sent pictures out to them with explanations yet they still come in as though they have no idea what is needed. I understand there will be some type of communication barrier but they at least need to understand what needs to be accomplished prior to coming in an asking us

A big shout out to [name removed] and his customer service. He has been responsive to text and phone calls and has gone above and beyond his scope to take care of issues with great follow-up. The bad news is that Minto Communities has not been customer service friendly and I have had a dead bush for 3 months and submitted 3 Work Orders for replacement with very little follow-up and as of the time of this survey the bush is still very dead. It really is the little things that make people happy and unfortunately Minto Communities just does not get it. I am happy to have a super like [name removed] as a buffer to get things resolved. My biggest fear is that things will take even longer to get resolved now that the one-year warranty period is over.

Our builder [name removed] was changed out mid stream and he was wonderful! I don’t like that there is no paint left in the house when we closed. No one has any idea what the paint is except the color.

I like the responsiveness to my issues. My supervisor, sales rep and [name removed] rep ([name removed]) were all great. I wish [name removed] had a better plan for sidewalks and for making the community a little more self contained, i.e. another restaurant, a convenience store , for example.

We were very pleased with everything, except for a crack in our driveway. It did take some time, but [name removed] kept his promise to us and did not give up on us when the HOA had. He was always available and present for us and we appreciated that more than you will ever know. If [name removed] was not involved with this issue, nothing would have gotten done. [name removed] is an amazing representative because he cares and he delivers. The HOA representative, [name removed], who I would equate to a used car salesman, just "yessed" us to the point of adnauseam. That was very disappointing. This all had to due with a crack in our driveway that was present before we closed. We were assured by our first supervisor, [name removed], (who was beyond amazing to us) that it would be done but was "let go" before it was fixed.

It would have been nice to have been notified when our first construction superintendent was let go and who we would be hearing from for the duration. We learned who our construction superintendent was after our first one was let for once we had gotten here and rented in phase 4 until we closed on our house. We would receive texts from someone but never said who he was and with. So we just thought it was spam.

Had issue where we had to have the ceilings redone on our annual inspection. We had painted our walls prior. The vendor did a poor job at painting and splattered paint on our walls. I took pictures and submitted them to our Mastercare [name removed] and we got a response that it was our issue to repaint. After expressing my displeasure with the response and also with the vendor, I had to explain each picture and how they were not nail pops nor areas that we had requested to get fixed. After reviewing the information the response changed. When time came to repaint our Mastercare rep came out to see the issue and was upset at the quality of work by the vendor and dealt with it. The issue is she was very quick to say it was not [name removed]'s issue but the customer without asking for any clarification until I expressed my displeasure. I would have thought [name removed] representative would have wanted to side or get clarification from the "customer" before automatically siding with the vendor. The vendors are not very reliable. It took 4 times for Valley to get our shower door fixed correctly, the drywall company and painters did a poor job and spoke no English where we could show them what needed to be done or if issue. Our rep sent pictures out to them with explanations yet they still come in as though they have no idea what is needed. I understand there will be some type of communication barrier but they at least need to understand what needs to be accomplished prior to coming in an asking us

A big shout out to [name removed] and his customer service. He has been responsive to text and phone calls and has gone above and beyond his scope to take care of issues with great follow-up. The bad news is that Minto Communities has not been customer service friendly and I have had a dead bush for 3 months and submitted 3 Work Orders for replacement with very little follow-up and as of the time of this survey the bush is still very dead. It really is the little things that make people happy and unfortunately Minto Communities just does not get it. I am happy to have a super like [name removed] as a buffer to get things resolved. My biggest fear is that things will take even longer to get resolved now that the one-year warranty period is over.

Our builder [name removed] was changed out mid stream and he was wonderful! I don’t like that there is no paint left in the house when we closed. No one has any idea what the paint is except the color.

Everyone we've dealth with from [name removed] in Sales, to [name removed] and [name removed] on the builder side has just been wonderful. Not only will I be bringing down friends and family, but if they are interested I would direct them towards these specific folks.

The follow up repair items at the first year inspection were taken care of very well by [name removed], even though the original construction quality is poor. My answers to the first three questions are not how I really feal about the Minto quality but were given high marks because [name removed] did his best to resolve our issues.
