My superintendent did a completely unacceptable job of overseeing the build of my home. I had to self evaluate my home and present a (27) item punch list vs. my superintendents (1) item punch list that took 6 months to complete all but 1 item that remains unresolved after 11 months. My superintendent did not complete his obligation and passed me over to my mastercare representative. I've just been assigned my 3rd mastercare representative for my upcoming (1) year review. I have presented the remaining (1) item that is not been given the expected attention and my mastercare representative has yet to return my multiple phone messages.

I don't like the fact that even though Mastercare is available to us for 2 years from purchase, it doesn't matter that we purchased all of our appliances through [name removed] during our build, we still have to deal directly with the manufacturers even for simple items. If I purchased on my own, I could understand, but purchasing through [name removed] I should only have to deal with [name removed].

The construction process focused too heavily on speed to build and the quantity of builds in process without considering the impacts of having quality subcontractors (trades people) to complete the work. As such, quality (especially with finish work such as moulding, painting, cabinets, flooring) suffered. The quality inspection process is essentially for show as inspection came and went without any impact to closing quality. As an owner, I should not have to threaten to delay closing in order to get punch list items corrected. An email was sent to some of the highest levels of [name removed] construction to outline this issue. While many items were corrected, there is still a large punch list of items that need to be addressed by [name removed]. That is unacceptable build quality

Other than the long wait from contract signing to closing, I was very happy with the sales rep, design rep and building superintendent. They all did a great job keeping in touch as how my house was coming along since I couldn’t be there in person for any of the design and meet with the builder meetings!!

Dislike that so many things are being redone because the original work was done sloppy (concrete, painting, framing). You spent so much money repairing and replacing shotty workmanship instead of making it sure it was done right the first time. Dislike that the community is getting so clouded and your not expanding some of the amenities to accommodate.

We closed on our home in November 2023 As of today, June 26th we are still trying to get things done that should have been done prior to closing. The workmanship on our home is sub par and we are extremely frustrated in the lack of professionalism from Minto builders and specific contractors We were rushed to close and promised that the items that needed to be addressed( that we should have never closed without being complete) would be completed in a timely fashion and nothing could be further from the truth.

Dishwasher should have been tested before we moved in. We had to call Whirlpool on the first day we moved in. The machine had a motor issue. Every other aspect was great from sales agents to Superintendent/builder.

To whom it may concern, I am writing regarding my experience with our build in [name removed] [name removed] [name removed] [name removed]. We first arrived I the sales center and were met with [name removed] and [name removed]. Their warm welcoming fun spirit radiated, and we could see how excited they were explaining how they enjoyed living here. We then after taking the tour and getting overwhelmed by the beauty of the models we had the opportunity to meet with [name removed]. This man not only took the time to get to know us, but he also helped us focus on our needs and wants in order to pick the correct dream home for home for us. After waiting our turn, we happily received “the call”. Although this minor panic was washed away by the feeling we were in the right spot. Next was the “A”’s, well this was a day to remember!! [name removed] was so good with my wife and myself as sometimes, you just don’t know what to pick and not. When I observed the day go by in a blink, [name removed] said, “we got you” and when I realized he stayed late that night and did not skip a beat. Thank you, [name removed]!! We then had the pleasure of meeting with [name removed]. Again, the caring approach she showed to not only make sure we went out of our comfort zone but also see the vision that we could describe. This was not easy, but we did it together between [name removed] and [name removed] they worked together to help us accomplish our goals!!! The answer is simple we could not have done it without them. Thank you again and again Now onto the build. In my life plans are necessary, but when the shovel hits the dirt its about execution. That’s where we met [name removed]. This guy was without a doubt responsible for making the house become a home. Words cannot express the phone calls visits and meetings that were necessary. Only he knows that he never left a text or phone call unanswered. I have gotten to know [name removed] and he is not one to brag, so we will do it for him. As expected, nothing is perfect but perfect planning develops perfect results. [name removed] was on it I would question or report something and he would respond quietly, that is on my list. I finally got to say that it was near seamless, and anything that would put that in danger was rapidly taken care of. So, as you can see our experience with [name removed] Community was affected by the people who represent you. People can raise complaints (Facebook etc.) we respond and say loudly quality people, results in quality results. We are sure there are others behind the team assigned to us and we thank them. Pros: all problems with home have been resolved to our satisfaction with open communication. Cons: Landscaping has been a struggle do to plants being planted in hard grey clay that does not drain. Plants are continually being replaced and not surviving.

I’ve never moved into a new home with having to go through all of this, trying to follow up with appointments and broken items in my home for as much money as I spent on this house it should’ve been perfect when I moved in.

Overall the villa was well constructed and we enjoy living in it, and the community. Very satisfied. The finish work was not great though. Love the landscaping and think the maintenance groups do a great job.The amenities are fabulous, but not sized properly. [name removed] seems to listen to the squeaky wheels when making change to process. Until recently warranty support seemed to start with deny all claims making it stressful and confrontational to request support.
