We did not like mastercare continually dropping the follow ups. After many calls and now almost a year later, we finally are scheduled for the issues to be resolved. Everyone in the office at the showroom was very pleasant. Enjoyed meeting all of them.

I have no issues with [name removed]’s service or with the home itself. However, there are ongoing concerns regarding the responsiveness and resolution of the turf and side swale issues. During modest rain events. water consistently stands in both side swales even under normal irrigation conditions. Standing water occurs on the front lawn apron when neighboring homes do not experience the same issue. The rear turf is extremely bumpy and uneven, with inconsistent grading throughout. The drop-off to the rear preserve also looks sloppy. If this were my home elsewhere, I would address and correct these issues directly. In this case, however, I am left navigating repeated work orders and excuses, with no clear sense that our expectations are being met.

Quality of materials is poor for a $1M home. Disappointing that you can’t move a fireplace or floor outlet to align with the design of the home. Took a couple of weeks to get the pool equipment that comes with the pool. Blue painted cabinets already don’t hold up well to hand or fingerprints. Should have been varnished or coated over the paint. I have built several homes in Florida and the quality isn’t up to par.

Cons: I contracted toward the end of construction. Although the flooring had not yet been installed, I was unable to change the floor color. Aside from that limitation, the selections made on my behalf were appropriate and well done. Pros: The villa was constructed with precision using high-quality materials. I have been very impressed with the level of planning and organization demonstrated by [name removed] throughout the process, as well as the friendliness, responsiveness, and professionalism of the staff. The home feels extremely well built, and I would confidently use [name removed] again.

I dislike the turnover of staff. I was in HR management my entire career. Consistently high staff turnover points toward bad management and slack recruiting processes. I like [name removed]’s partnership with [name removed] to preserve green spaces and incorporate them into our landscape. It is more assuring that the views we have from our home will hopefully be honored.

This evaluation is based solely on my experience with the original MasterCare representative I was assigned once I closed on my home. Prior to closing, I had a fantastic experience and excellent service from my sales, design, and builder contacts, so having experienced anything less than that after closing has been very disappointing, and I don’t feel a good representation of the [name removed] name. Please understand I am not one to complain, so I do not take this lightly but feel it's important to fill this survey out as honestly as possible. And this is not just a difference in personalities - I know of others who have had this rep that have unfortunately had similar experiences. If anyone would like to visit with me, I'd be happy to discuss. As of December 2025, I requested and was given a different MasterCare rep, and it's been a 100% improvement! I finally feel like someone is listening and actually willing to help.

I think we have a great solid home! The quality is excellent. The response time to fixing any issues that we have had has been very quick and easy. The people here are so helpful. The only items that I think can be improved are small details that would make the house more practical. For example: some of the toilet paper holders are too far from the toilet bowl and there is no place for a hand towel rack in the master bathroom - it is in the toilet area that makes no sense. These are small issues that would add to the comfort of the home. We love living in this home. We love our layout and the quality details of the home. It is a great comfortable home!

The part I really had an issue with is the purchase process for getting a desired lot. We were given process to follow and it was changed mid-assignment.

There were multiple problems with the house found during the pre close walk through that are from poor quality workmanship. The price you charged for our house, things should have perfect. We have an issue with paint on our entrance door and side window that found during the pre close walk through that still has not been fixed! The pool equipment, especially the heater, is not to have roof rain water dumping into it. It states this in the equipment manual, but you did NOT install a gutter above it! You did not tell us that we needed a gutter when we were choosing our As and Bs. For the $150k we paid for the pool, this should be included in that package. Problem is you and your installing did not know the installation requirements and you refuse to make this right. I just had a private person complete an inspection of our house and your year end inspection. Your person has been giving excuses as to why the tile in most of our house has been installed poorly, creating a poor appearance. We are awaiting on what you will be repairing/fixing, and what you may refuse to. After the year end walk through we have had [name removed]’s electric and Triad call us to confirm what they stated was a scheduled visit to fix something, that we had never been told of this scheduled visit! The walls around the pocket doors are very poorly supported. The poorest constructed house I have lived in.

Dislike - no flexibility in even simple changes to house construction (add insulation to interior wall, additional shelf in shower, etc.). I am having issues with HOA approval for solar panels. HOA has unnecessary insurance requirements that my provider is unwilling to provide. Solar rebates are expiring so I am out about $5000 in solar installation costs because I can't get this resolved. Like - people have been great!

We started our new home with [name removed], but he left and [name removed] took his place. [name removed] was great, always on top of answering any questions we had. [name removed], our builder, was amazing and great to work with. Every time we met at the house he went over each build phase with us and what the next steps would be. [name removed] always answered our questions in person and responded to emails right away.

Love our villa. But we are having problems with our gas stove getting too hot for the microwave up above the stove. It has been serviced by whirlpool with a new gas regulator being installed. It still is getting to hot. I was told that it was not a warranty issue with Mastercare. Unusual issue for sure. Have had gas stoves all my life and never seen anything like this before. I think it is an issue with the stove, a lemon. Have heard numerous other people in community with same problem. Other than this problem we are very happy with [name removed] communities . Great place to live. We are considering buying a home in place of our villa.

[name removed] exceeded our expectations here as well. This home is the third home We’ve built over the years. This entire process from initial information gathering until closing on our new home - could not have gone any better!

If the builder had spent more time in the small details, I wouldn’t of had to deal with the mold behind the sink, re pour my driveway which will never match the vents had to be adjusted, grout was a mess and was re done in the bathroom floor. My master are person was great but can’t say [name removed] was as detailed as he could have been. I was impressed with [name removed] the builder of single family homes, he made sure the house was in perfect shape before the owners moved in.
