I think it’s ridiculous that I cannot get cold water in my house. While the majority of this experience has been great. This one item really bothers me. I wanted to lower the score for trusting things to be taken care of, but I didn’t want it to hurt my Mastercare rep’s score because this is not his fault and he has done a good job. I’m truly shocked that having cold water is not something that is part of [name removed]’s “commitment” to me.

We enjoyed the design experience the most. Meeting with and discussing our options with the design center team was enjoyable. We disliked the communication regarding the availability of our lot options the most. As we were moving out of state, retiring and finding new employment this was extremely stressful. One would think, as a retirement, 55+ community, most people are dealing with similar circumstances. A close second would be some of the construction elements such as concrete finish, window/door quality, etc

The fact that it took 4-5 attempts at repairing a hole in the seam of our shower at the floor level was a bit much. The grout or caulk was not done properly from the beginning and each time a repair was attempted, it failed ~ until the last time. So far, so good. It’s holding for now and we hope it continues to do so.

We disliked the limited options provided by the builder and were left with taking the included options but then having to redo those the Minto options we were unsatisfied with.

Initially, we had breaker issues and the Electricians had to come out and replace the brand new breakers (3 seperate occasions. The MBR sink traps pooled black sediment in the trap that would disguntingly flush out while using the sink, nothing like brushing your teeth to see black crude come out on your toothbrush. It took 3 months to replace a dead bush out front after being reported, but was eventually replaced. But overall, we love our home and were satisfied with the resolved issues.

All three went over and above to make me feel so welcome like I was already part of the community even before I closed and moved in. The entire experience was seamless and enjoyable!

the inflexibility to make any changes once our groups were chosen. This is even before construction began. Only have one outside vendor for low voltage products ie alarm, speaker install. The house plans for our model were reversed without any notice. The selection of upgrades to things like appliances was one. The ability to upgrade things in construction was zero. No upgrade for HVAC. No upgrades to insulation of the house. Our selections were basically interior such as flooring, trim, cabinets . Not getting the house prewired for speakers if wanted. Only one company for alarm system. I realize you are not custom builders, but I as a prospective homeowner, to limit our selections diminishes the resale value of the house, not allowing one to distinguish their home from their neighbor [name removed] - We had a VERY hard time getting ANY updates from our first builder ;however after being assigned [name removed] he was wonderful in giving updates also it was from him that we learned our house was flipped ( a reverse of the model and we asked that in the purchasing with [name removed] because I had purchased a cottage a year before and were assured lay out was the same as the model) [name removed] was very prompt weekly updates.

I have had issues with my air conditioner since I closed in April 2025. My main bedroom is consistently warmer than the rest of the house (78) while the thermostat is set at 70 now adding to that the door bring closed and its even hotter in there. During the summer months I have not been able to sleep in the main bedroom due to the heat 78 degrees in there while the rest of my villa was 70 degrees and comfortable. Reportedly the engineer that overlooks the ac units have said there is nothing wrong with my unit. I respectfully disagree. I have owned 6 home in Florida and NEVER had an issue like this. After spending over $500K for my villa I cannot even put into words how abused I feel. I could not in good conscience ever recommend another 55+ person get XXXXX ed into this nightmare. This is senior abuse at its finest!!!!!

WE have gone through three Mastercare reps we are on our fourth now. We have been trying to get things fixed since day one of our settlement day and still have not been successful. We were told we had a two year warranty now told we only have a one year warranty. It seems [name removed] changes things to fit their benefit all the time.

I toured this community in February 2022 and the sales agent said I was put on a list in which I was properly switched to a different list because he didn’t feel I could afford a villa. So he put me on a cottage list which I did not want. I came twice a year, I asked where I was on the list and he said he didn’t have time to look that information up that I would get a call. I never got a call. Returned February 1923 and was told I was not on a villa list and I was infuriated. So I said to take my name off any list I would never build here. But looking elsewhere. Meantime, my mother wanted to tour again in May 1923 and I refuse to deal with the same agent in the office and was given a new agent and she was fabulous. Meanwhile, prices skyrocketed but [name removed] such found me and even better corner lot for a home instead of a villa. Other than this horrible experience in the introduction and trying to obtain a hole through the agent, the rest of the experience has been great.

I did not like picking A’s and B’s at different times. It was very difficult to determine the costs of the 2 separately. [name removed] our sales person was very upfront about the process and “general” budgets for each. In the end we feel that we put our money in the most important things but you pick your A’s blindly if you don’t ask the right questions.

Our home is a joy to live in. We like the design and flow. Our construction supervisor, [name removed], was excellent. Our first Service Master rep was let go, our second was terrible. He was very unresponsive. Our third is good. The home next to us was supposed to have their lanai on the other side away from us but it was changed and is too close to our lanai! The bushes and hedges between homes are too small and need to be larger and thicker! There are way too many construction trucks on [name removed] [name removed]. It is very dangerous! Please create a road from Steel field road to finish phase 8 like you did for phase 5!!! Thanks for asking.
