It’s all just preferences and opinions on how things could be done differently. I think it is hard on employees to be so reliant on survey scores and I found the purchase process to be a bit of a surprise with the amount of money that needs to be spent on top of base price but in all not a bad experience.

The entire process; contract through closing was much easier than I expected. The sales team, design team and our building supervisors all seemed to go the extra mile to make sure we got exactly what we wanted in our new home.

Struggle with MasterCare represenative. I have to continually remind her of items on the list and to get updates. It is exhausting and frustrating. My neighbors call and they have immediate attention, I email and get a return email with a document that says basically sorry too late you should have caught that before you signed. I have had to really push to get things completed that were before we moved in. It is very frustrating. Everything else is awesome.

There was very little pressure. We’ve been considering this move for about 4 years. We would stop into the sales center every time we visited PCB knowing that we would eventually make the decision. The sales people we met, and all the residents, had such confidence in the product and the lifestyle that there was never any pressure to make a sale. The prevailing attitude seemed to be, “Look around, get all the information you can, you’ll know when the time is right for you.” That’s exactly what happened!

The complex process of building a home is laid out in easy to digest evolutions/steps. The team is very accommodating and clear in communications. I’m in the real estate business and appreciate the Minto brand (my 2nd [name removed] home by the way!)

My experience from start to finish was exceptional! The front sales office team was friendly and knowledgeable! [name removed] was my sales representative and he always greeted me with a smile and willing to take the time to help in anyway he could! [name removed] at the design center took her time and was very patient as I made my decisions! She asked me all the right questions to help make my vision possible! I can’t say enough about my builder [name removed]! From the initial phone call when he introduced himself I knew we would work well together! His attention to detail is amazing! [name removed] is no nonsense and straight forward! He clearly is proud of his work and wants his clients to be happy! He sent pics every Friday and kept me closely informed! He returns calls promptly and has followed up with me several times since closing! He works for you and 100% wants you to be happy! [name removed] at Mastercare was great! He knows his stuff and has expressed for me to reach out to him with any concern no matter how small you think it may be! [name removed] was my loan and closing officer! She is so pleasant, personable and I loved dealing with her! All in all my team and the folks in my corner made building a home in [name removed] fun and stress free! I can’t say enough

The ultimate reward is an exceptionally built home in a great community which was accomplished. The sales team does a great job at selling the [name removed] Lifestyle and our sales person, [name removed] was great. Prices are very transparent and features are clearly understood upfront. Design center is in need of a major up date but very organized in what they do. Our builder, [name removed], was top notch, honest and kept us up to date. We are absolutely thrilled with our new home in [name removed] [name removed] build by [name removed] and would highly recommend [name removed] and the [name removed] [name removed] community to anyone looking at this lifestyle.

Likes - Amenities and friendships we’ve built Dislikes - Home quality meets minimum standards. For the money we spent on the house, that’s disappointing. The landscaping between our homes in Phase 8 isn’t what was told to us when we bought. It would be nice if Minto could plant more bushes and trees behind the villas in Phase 8.

We had a highly disappointing experience building with Minto, marked by deceptive lending practices, cheap materials, and poor communication. Before signing, we asked specific questions about the contract addendum and were misled about the incentives being tied to using a Minto "preferred lender". That preferred lender disqualified us—despite finding us well-qualified before we signed. Because of this, two weeks before closing Minto stripped away our $25,000 incentive. We immediately went to our previous mortgage lender, who qualified us without issue. While Minto's business practices might technically be legal, they are deeply unethical. Furthermore, the standard builder-grade materials used in 2026 are shockingly low quality. Bathrooms feature Formica countertops, there is an excessive amount of carpet, and the cabinets are extremely cheap. Compared to a builder-grade home we constructed in 2012 (which included granite countertops in bathrooms and kitchen, engineered wood flooring, and [name removed] wood cabinets), Minto expects buyers to pay massive markups at the design center for low-grade materials to upgrade from the even lower quality builder-grade materials. Communication was also non-existent. Our sales representative, [name removed], completely ignored emails, phone calls, and texts from both me and my lender. He didn't even have the courtesy to speak to me at closing. The sole bright spot was our project manager, [name removed] was wonderful to work with, highly professional, and is truly the only thing Minto got right with our build.

They are great to work with. We are near our 1 year anniversary and appointments have been made to fix some small things. We are out of town now and neighbors said our sprinkler system has been on for over an hour. I called the emergency number and they said they would contact the appropriate people. Neighbor called back and said sprinkler was now off and I called back and told them. About 30 minutes later neighbor called again and said sprinklers on again. I called emergency number again. Different person said I need to make a work order. I told her the previous person I talked to said they would contact the person to check into it. This person said it was up to me to make out the work order. I said OK but I asked if someone would get the work order since it was Sunday and today is Memorial Day. She then said she would make out the work order. I did receive an email of the order. I do not know if someone was going to check the issue out or wait until Tuesday. We are out of town until the first week of June. Plus work was done last week in our front yard and we have not been told what was going on. Large hole in yard, pipes sticking out, pictures show dirt is being washed away by sprinkler. Would like an update but not sure we will get it

[name removed], from the design center was and is helping me put my dream home together as well as saving my sanity! We could not have had such a pleasant experience buying our home without the care that these three have shown.

Overall it’s been a very positive experience. I dislike the fact that the installed HVAC requirements don’t match the permits on file with the county. Permit says 4 ton unit and 3.5 is installed. In addition the sales literature states a “high efficient” system will be installed and our unit is below the industry standard in terms of high efficiency.

About trees near the cottages. It should be more wisdom design: no trees that grow big very soon, like [name removed]. It will be so bad for house. No space for such bit trees.

When purchasing the house every little thing was an upgrade. It was very difficult to know what to do or not do! Exp. Just the size of the doors or the lip on the shower in primary bathroom. All pretty overwhelming

Customer service by The Builder was terrible quality of The Builder was terrible getting any warranty work done was terrible and I was lied to her about several things and a warranty work is the worst I ever saw Also the quality of the warranty work is terrible. I feel like after I paid house. [name removed] northern warranty company care about anything as long as they got their money. I am really sorry that I bought a mental home.

Overall it’s been a very positive experience. I dislike the fact that the installed HVAC requirements don’t match the permits on file with the county. Permit says 4 ton unit and 3.5 is installed. In addition the sales literature states a “high efficient” system will be installed and our unit is below the industry standard in terms of high efficiency.
