We love our home and appreciate the 1 year warranty. Looking forward to get the small number of issues resolved. Quality work! Painters could use drop cloths, landscape vegetation was just thrown together with zero input from me. Sales was the most annoying part of the whole experience. Next time I will have my own representation.

There are several significant issues with the house, far beyond minor inconveniences. The walls are slightly diagonal, and the corners are not straight. Some areas of the house remain unpainted, while others have been painted poorly—some paint appears transparent, revealing numbers beneath. The pocket doors are crooked, and their surrounding walls are extremely flimsy. Additionally, there is water leakage in both the bedroom and garage, cracks on the kitchen island, and improperly sanded and painted doors. The door handles are loose and shifting, and parts of the walls are uneven, with some areas bumpy and others smooth. The carpet installation is also subpar. Dryer, hood range, toilet all not working and being. What is most frustrating is that these issues were brought up months ago. Despite the team being friendly, there seems to be a lack of accountability—issues are either dismissed, blamed on others, or categorized as “wear and tear,” leaving homeowners without solutions. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not recommend purchasing a Minto home.

This is my second purchase with Minto & while I am a realtor that advocated for the builder and community I am also a multiple homeowner. New builds are not perfect, however the attention and execution of getting concerns addressed and corrected is what counts. Great job Minto!

Interaction and communication with our Construction Manager ([name removed]) was great through construction up until we were pressed to complete and sign the final review (which we didn't mind doing). After that, all commitments to complete remaining punch list items documented at Closing by MasterCare were significantly delayed, and some have not been completed (open tickets) as of today, 11 months after Closing. In that way we don't feel like valued buyers.

Our PM was wonderful, the unit is ok. The handling of the mold issue is extremely disappointing , we attended a community meeting Oct 24, Minto reps very unprepared , but did find the issue has been going on for quite a while, we where allowed to close without being notified. Have had very little update as to a resolution ( air purifier installed) other than that we have been left to wonder what is being done to deal with the mold issue

While the superintendent and sales representative were a pleasure to work with. The finishing materials such as the cabinetry (vanities), tiles, lighting fixtures were all of cheap and substandard quality. This poor quality of fixtures/materials makes it hard for me to invite friends and family to see a home I should be proud to showcase.

We loved our builder [name removed]. Great communication and updates. We are thoroughly dissatisfied with our AC unit in our 6-month old $800k+ house. We have 3 rooms that simply stay 5-7 degrees warmer than the thermostat at all times. It has not been resolved. It is very very uncomfortable in those rooms for our family members, one who is young and the other is very elderly.

What we liked most about our experience with Minto USA was the overall quality of the home. We appreciate the thoughtfully designed layout. Additionally, the communication with [name removed], has been very productive. He has been responsive, professional, and helpful in addressing and resolving the issues we've encountered in our new place, making the transition much smoother. On the other hand, one of the aspects we disliked the most was the quality of the appliances provided. They do not meet the same standard as the rest of the home, and we expected better quality given the overall build.

The cheapest grass, dead trees, cheap paint, the smallest stove top range that only holds 2 pots at a time, level zero granite countertop cheap bathtub fixtures and the list goes on for a home that cost more than half million dollars. [name removed], please do better.

What i loved the most was my experience with [name removed], our project manager. He was amazing and kept me informed every single step of the way. He always addressed my concerns, no matter how small, in a professional and prompt pay. [name removed] was also a pleasure work with. I gave a 10 on this survey as I want to make sure that [name removed] gets all of the credit for this closing and my experience over all WITH HIM WAS A 10. However, a week or so before my walk through my experience went from joyful, excitement to complete devastation and anguish. I had my own inspection done and the report with everything that was found to be wrong was immediately sent to [name removed]. [name removed] in turn sent that to [name removed], project manager, since [name removed] was not available and to his boss. The next day I received a very unpleasant call from [name removed]. Instead of him reviewing the entire report, pictures and videos that [name removed] had sent to him, he just called me and made me feel like a complete moron. Told my realtor and I that our licensed and insured inspector did not know anything about new roof construction. The video clearly showed ripples and that there was an issue with the roof. Several times my realtor asked him did he look at the videos and all of the pictures he said no that [name removed] had not sent him that and he was only reading the report. He left a real bad taste in our mouth. At the time of the walk through again the items that were clearly documented by my inspector, were not addressed. [name removed] even had the nerve to tell my realtor and my fiancé that the wall that leads up the stairwells is not a standing wall and does have movement. In the video we sent him it shows him that this wall was dangerously loose. After my realtor showed him, he then said he would look at the model as we had asked him and indeed there was an issue. He also got the person that did the roof to inspect and indeed there was an issue. A week later when I should have closed the roof was still not fixed so my realtor reached out to [name removed]’s boss, [name removed]. Once again, instead of your team putting our fears to rest, she was abrupt with my realtor. What should have been a joyful, wonderful and exciting time, was turned to total nightmare by the people that are in charge. I thank God that [name removed] took the reins when he came back and got everything fixed and made my home buying experience great again. I know I am only one home buyer and these complaints make go on deaf ear without any care but I had to express what a horrendous management team you have in hopes that you take action so no other [name removed]’s homebuyer goes through with what I went through. Ranging from 3-7 and I do not have much trust in [name removed] at this point in time. See below: Starting with sales: We like [name removed], she is genuine and does what she can to assist. Dislike- the rushed sales tactics implemented by [name removed] leadership. Construction experience- [name removed] was great and [name removed] is lucky to have him. He was thorough and informative since the first day we met him. He did a great job at closeout and final walk. He listens to the customer and does what he can to resolve issues immediately. Dislike- Project Manager was non-existent and not accountable. We had an issue with the flooring and [name removed]'s actions proved they don't care about customer concerns. Examples of this were installing the finishes one day after raising the concern. Letting weeks go by without a follow up and flat out refusing to work with us about our concerns. This stems from poor leadership. I have told everyone I know about my experience. Sales Manager- Similar to the PM, non existent and lacks leadership and customer skills. Flat out refused to help us at all when we expressed our concerns about the flooring. Quality of the product: If you are a retired person or new homeowner with little experience this home is appealing. However, to the experienced buyer there is a lot of really noticeable issues. Our home for example: Switch boxes wired incorrectly. Code violations at recessed lights. Bare bulb fixture installed against drywall underside of ceiling when model home shows recessed light in the hall. Light fixture in guest bathroom not centered on the sink properly. Fire hazard, arcing potential in the electrical boxes. Cheap OSB board for subfloor lots of movement. Cheap bathroom cabinets from 1985. Poor installation of carpeting. Lots of areas where the tack strip was poking through and hitting our feet. Sanitary lines in Master Bath brought up in middle of cabinet taking away home owners options. Overall Design and Layout: All the designers on this project should go back to school. Many things did not make any sense and showed lack of planning and experience. Examples below: Poor switch and outlet locations. I had to correct outlet locations during "rough in" Lay out of kitchen recessed lights done by someone without experience. Layout of supply grills and return in poor locations. Too close to wall, etc. Layout of smoke detectors in the bedrooms not per code. Too far away from the door way. Locations for switches at the staircase should have been on the stair wall not on the short wall where people put furniture etc. Location of thermostat should have been upstairs. The master bathroom and closets in the IVY unit planned poorly. The cheaper middle units have much larger master bathroom. Leadership needs to be more accountable when dealing with customer issues. They appear to be hiding behind their one-sided contract that they won't negotiate. Warranty division only offers visits from 9am to 2pm M-Th. Appears to be a tactic by leadership to get through the one year builders period reducing profit fade by making it difficult for homeowner with jobs to get items corrected.

Examples below: Poor switch and outlet locations. I had to correct outlet locations during "rough in" Lay out of kitchen recessed lights done by someone without experience. Layout of supply grills and return in poor locations. Too close to wall, etc. Layout of smoke detectors in the bedrooms not per code. Too far away from the door way. Locations for switches at the staircase should have been on the stair wall not on the short wall where people put furniture etc. Location of thermostat should have been upstairs. The master bathroom and closets in the IVY unit planned poorly. The cheaper middle units have much larger master bathroom. Leadership needs to be more accountable when dealing with customer issues. They appear to be hiding behind their one-sided contract that they won't negotiate. Warranty division only offers visits from 9am to 2pm M-Th. Appears to be a tactic by leadership to get through the one year builders period reducing profit fade by making it difficult for homeowner with jobs to get items corrected.

Our PM was wonderful, the unit is ok. The handling of the mold issue is extremely disappointing , we attended a community meeting Oct 24, Minto reps very unprepared , but did find the issue has been going on for quite a while, we where allowed to close without being notified. Have had very little update as to a resolution ( air purifier installed) other than that we have been left to wonder what is being done to deal with the mold issue

While the superintendent and sales representative were a pleasure to work with. The finishing materials such as the cabinetry (vanities), tiles, lighting fixtures were all of cheap and substandard quality. This poor quality of fixtures/materials makes it hard for me to invite friends and family to see a home I should be proud to showcase.

We loved our builder [name removed]. Great communication and updates. We are thoroughly dissatisfied with our AC unit in our 6-month old $800k+ house. We have 3 rooms that simply stay 5-7 degrees warmer than the thermostat at all times. It has not been resolved. It is very very uncomfortable in those rooms for our family members, one who is young and the other is very elderly.

What we liked most about our experience with Minto USA was the overall quality of the home. We appreciate the thoughtfully designed layout. Additionally, the communication with [name removed], has been very productive. He has been responsive, professional, and helpful in addressing and resolving the issues we've encountered in our new place, making the transition much smoother. On the other hand, one of the aspects we disliked the most was the quality of the appliances provided. They do not meet the same standard as the rest of the home, and we expected better quality given the overall build.

There are several significant issues with the house, far beyond minor inconveniences. The walls are slightly diagonal, and the corners are not straight. Some areas of the house remain unpainted, while others have been painted poorly—some paint appears transparent, revealing numbers beneath. The pocket doors are crooked, and their surrounding walls are extremely flimsy. Additionally, there is water leakage in both the bedroom and garage, cracks on the kitchen island, and improperly sanded and painted doors. The door handles are loose and shifting, and parts of the walls are uneven, with some areas bumpy and others smooth. The carpet installation is also subpar. Dryer, hood range, toilet all not working and being. What is most frustrating is that these issues were brought up months ago. Despite the team being friendly, there seems to be a lack of accountability—issues are either dismissed, blamed on others, or categorized as “wear and tear,” leaving homeowners without solutions. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not recommend purchasing a Minto home.

Interaction and communication with our Construction Manager ([name removed]) was great through construction up until we were pressed to complete and sign the final review (which we didn't mind doing). After that, all commitments to complete remaining punch list items documented at Closing by MasterCare were significantly delayed, and some have not been completed (open tickets) as of today, 11 months after Closing. In that way we don't feel like valued buyers.
