[name removed] has been wonderful to work with. She has been extremely responsive, listened to our concerns and then went to work to make sure everything was as it needed to be. She coordinated subcontractors to return and fix/repair things for us, working with our busy schedules to ensure it fit the times we needed it to. She even offered to come clean up the paint off our floors herself, which is well above and beyond what she needed to do and so greatly appreciated!

DISLIKE: I paid for a premium lot. When I moved in the lot was changed to be smaller due to utility box placed in middle of lot. After a lot of back/forth, I worked out a compromise through [name removed] VP Sales. [name removed] made the difference in the sale of my home, which we almost cancelled. LIKE: Working with [name removed] and [name removed], [name removed] has been terrific. Today, in [name removed]'s absence who is on vacation, [name removed] and [name removed] came from The Vineyard community and they were also amazing to work with.

We have really enjoyed working with [name removed], our customer care representative, as we coordinate scheduling repairs for our new home. She has been so personable and approachable, where we really do feel like she wants to do her best to hear and meet customer needs. She has been doing her best to coordinate timely repairs, so we have been appreciating that. However, the repairs themselves have been a hit or miss. Perhaps this pertains more to the contractors that New Home Co uses, as our experience with the various contractors, specifically for repairs have been sub par. While some of the repairs do get addressed, sometimes those attempts to repair end up causing other or more issues, which have been frustrating as the repair process is drawn out and/or not fixed. That's a lot of time and people coming in and out of our home. Thankfully, these issues have not been major functional ones, but they have been annoying and frustrating i.e. thumping/creaking floors when stepped upon in high traffic areas. Though they have tried to address and repair these issues, they continue to reappear in the same or other areas. Perhaps this is the expected quality and inevitable nature of these super quick new construction builds.

The process from having the feeling that I'd found my home to having keys went surprisingly fast and smooth. I had done my research, had my financials in order, and the rest they made smooth as butter.

Overall buying experience was smooth, thanks to [name removed]. :) Overall house is built solid, but there are so many things that can be improved for such high price range. The quality of the cabinets installed is very poor, some of the crooked ones needed fixing but they are still very poorly installed. At this price range cabinets still do not have soft close function which is unacceptable. The response to maintenance requests is slow. There is no good way to control air flow and temperature upstairs vs downstairs. The vents need to be more robust in design, if you close the vents downstairs to push the air upstairs, the vents make very loud noise which is annoying and I have seen other houses which are built better.

Customer care has been coordinating with us to send out contractors to fix remaining repairs of the home, but unfortunately, some of the contractors, mainly the flooring people came unprepared (which caused us to reschedule several times) and there seemed to be a lack of communication and disorganization amongst them. Also, instead of resolution, each time a repair would cause other issues and would prolong the repair process. We have items remaining or new items because of these other issues caused by attempted repairs. We also felt like though some of the times we received prompt responses from customer care, at other times it would take longer than a week to hear back.

The first person that we worked with, Tricia Epping, did not explain to us that we would need to use New Home Co. financing in order to qualify for any of the incentives. When we came back to make an offer with our pre-approval through another lender she was incredibly rude, insisting that she had told us and even accused us of lying. At that point we were so turned off that we decided not to purchase the home and began looking elsewhere. Ultimately the fact that we loved this house so much brought us back, and Shawn Meier was fantastic to work with. Ken the superintendent is also wonderful and Karen who did our walk-through with us was fantastic as well-they all made us feel very cared for and listened to our concerns/questions etc. Kimberly Liu at Universal Lending was great to work with however that experience left us frustrated as there was a severe lack of communication and explanation of things throughout the process. Once I called Kim and she stepped back in, things went very smooth. Overall as first time home buyers the New Home Co. has been fantastic and we are incredibly happy with our home.

The staff at the model home are very friendly and accommodating. I had asked to be let into the home a few times before becoming the owner and each time they were very helpful. I appreciated the fast response to the home inspection report and at buyer orientation there was a list of everything that had been addressed and what was still to be done. Overall the entire team has been very responsive.
