Purchase Experience Testimonials from Real Homebuyers

Eastvale, CA, on Jul 11, 2025

We needed a faster closing and New Home Co. facilitated our need. We really liked the low interest rate (4.75%) offered to us through their preferred lender.

The lending process was the most difficult. It was very frustrating. In the end everything came together and [name removed] stood out helping get us over the finish line.

The experience was overall quite pleasant. However, I was disappointed with the information provided about the schools. When I purchased the house, I was given incorrect details regarding the school assigned to the community.

The previous customer service help person was a delight to work with but it has taken a tumble recently. They don’t respond in a timely manner and seem to put up a fight for items that should be included in the 1-year workmanship warranty.

Well the software system needs to be improved in my view else there are chances of mistakes . Overall a good experience as people in the team are good hearted and would work to make things happen . Their software system is little old fashioned and you need to ensure that you have paper work in your files and check the inventory of items . It is not easy for them to find out details of orders . Overall a good builder , and good people

The process from having the feeling that I'd found my home to having keys went surprisingly fast and smooth. I had done my research, had my financials in order, and the rest they made smooth as butter.

After I moved in some areas of the gypcrete flooring has become uneven and sunken. This has caused my LVP to give in many areas as well as lift up at the ends. In one area it is so uneven that I can set a lip gloss case down and it will roll downhill for 8 feet. It is so bad you feel like walking up or down a hill when crossing it and people can even see it at a distance. The builder is trying to tell me this is all within tolerance and simply because it is a "floating floor". The float is not a float, it is giving because there isn't anything underneath it to support it. The installer clearly messed up and now the integrity of the floor is at risk over time. First they told me tolerance by the manufacture standards is 1/4" per every 10ft, but their standards are 3/8" per 7 ft and made it sound like their standard is tighter than the manufacture as if I don't understand that 3/8" is LARGER than 1/4". Additionally, the way they measure is measuring "levelness" of LVP bridging across what is essentially dips underneath the LVP. So they're only measuring the plane of the LVP. But my foot feels the deep dips in the gypcrete. After they had the LVP installer out, now the standard has suddenly changed to 3/8" per 3 ft and magically everything is in tolerance. I've requested the installer name and number and the gypcrete manufacturer contact information to obtain "manufacturer tolerances" that they seem to quote and get nothing but a run around. And magically, the builder has no idea how to contact the installer. Although, I'm willing to bet if they wanted to sue them they'd have their number. Overall, I'm furious. They happy to fix minor cosmetic issues, but anything more complicated with long lasting impact I'm getting nothing but a runaround. I plan to tell everyone that I know to never buy from New [name removed] Co.

Everyone on the New [name removed] Co. team was very easy to work with. Great experiences from Sales, design and post move in support. That said, we do wish there were more design options as well as the ability to pick the exterior color and elevation.

I was deeply frustrated by the purchase experience. On multiple occasions the team gave me inaccurate information, and my maintenance request about the fridge shutting off was never addressed. There were countless delays, and key features that originally sold me on the home were changed at the last minute, which felt like a bait and switch. Staff have also been unhelpful in providing any details about additional parking.

Homebuilder Customer Reviews

No one knows more about a homebuilder's quality and service than the builder's customers.

Since 1984, Eliant has been independently evaluating the performance of homebuilders across the U.S., Canada, and the Middle East:

  • We ask recent homebuyers to evaluate their builder's purchase process.
  • Then, we ask homeowners to evaluate their builder's quality and service (1) after the first 5-months in the home, and (2) again at the end of the first year.

In "Homebuilder Customer Reviews", we present the ratings and comments collected from new-home buyers at these three points in time.

Eliant verifies that only evaluations completed by actual customers are included in this "Homebuilder Customer Reviews" site. No other evaluations - whether collected by the builder or those appearing on other public sites - are included here. All customer comments are included verbatim, no editing is permitted.
