The communication wasn't as great as what was promised. They mentioned we would receive photos and be invited to tour the house at key milestones in the construction process, but I had to initiate the conversation every key milestone. It was difficult because I had to listen carefully to understand when that next milestone would take place. The overall home buying process was very smooth, contracts and such. The punch list portion felt very rushed and we had to sign papers before items were finished. It was difficult to schedule repairs after the fact due to working full-time jobs.

I requested warranty service last January. It took 3 months to reply. Only because I made many attempts to get hold of you. But until now, the request service is not even finished yet. You have a very poor customer service, warranty, experience, no reputation

Builder response to maintenace has been slow, HOA response to anything has been absent. [name removed] is terrible, don't know how it was decided, but they do not maintain the property outside at all.

I've had a kitchen appliance repaired and light fixtures fixed promptly. The landscaping in front of my house requires some attention but nothing to do with newhome, just the HOA.

The workmanship of the homes so many problems inside and outside and one guy [name removed] who has to go and fix all the problems of the incompetent people who built these homes from floors to windows not properly installed. I would say my purchase experience was neutral. The sales team was kind. There was a lack of communication with the lender at the end which made closing VERY stressful, but that wasn't really the sales team's fault and they were sympathetic and got me to a manager for the lender (I went with New Home Company's preferred lender so just make sure your lender has it together/is on top of it more). As a first time home buyer, I had NO idea what to expect on the closing day and it was never explained to me. So I showed up on closing day and hadn't been advised regarding the process (sign docs with notary, wire money, docs get recorded, closing) and felt like an idiot. Closing was delayed one day (NOT an issue with proper communication-I work two jobs and took the day off from BOTH of them unnecessarily because I didn't end up closing on the right day).

As a cash buyer, the purchase experience was fairly quick and easy. My availability for walk throughs etc. were accommodated and everything else was accomplished virtually from my residence on the east coast.

Well some of the floors aren’t properly flush and when walking over the carpet you feel what is underneath the carpet sticking out from under. Some of the walls lacked a certain finish. Some items were not properly installed which lead to unsatisfactory. I like the personnel they are really friendly and help to fix things and provide me with the right contacts when needed.
