1) Price Price Price...Please dont claim yourself a high premium builder until you justify to what you are building for the amount of money you are taking. 2) When i was about to close the home, the housing market was on decline and i discussed a lot with the team to bump down the inexorbitant prices that were bumped within 6 months. When i entered the waitlist, the price was 1.2 Million and after 6 months it was 1.5 Million USD. Insane increase. 3) Removed me from the notification lists as i was monitoring the prices closely of the unsold units 4) Post Move In, there are a lot of scratches on glass doors and after 4-5 visits, they mentioned they will not be replaced as they are meeting standards 5) I came to know of a neighbor who got a Gold Hill home due to some backout at the same time we were closing...We were very interested in Gold Hill right from the day we were in waitlist. Haven't mentioned anything about an opprtunity to probably swap the Gold hill...you take a home to live in it for years....understand that!! 6) When i was comparing the home prices with other builders in the community of same square feet, the response was always that we are premium...CRAP... i looked at their homes and they had much better options provided in the STANDARD features for much lesser price..small small things matter a lot...example, they had some beautiful stones around the drain whereas we have just the plastic drain visible...home security equipment included for them...unstained concrete in the driveway...concrete pathway connecting driveway and sideway entrance.. many many more things...cracked wood fences for us..many more small things...list goes on...

[name removed] only thing that I can complain about is that I was not given clear information as to when I can actually move in. I wanted the garage flooring people to come on the day we closed to epoxy the floor. I was told that I could not schedule until I got the keys which would be after it was recorded. This is the second new home I purchased and I have never hear of this, since they took my down payment and the mortgage on day of closing. As it turned out they did give me the key after closing and I did not get my garage floor done until later causing a problem with the move. [name removed] recording should not prevent someone to move in or schedule work to be done in my option.

[name removed] purchase experience was clear and communicative. [name removed] was fantastic. And extremely forthcoming. What we extremely disliked was the fact that there was no consideration for contingent buyers until the demand dried up. We were passed over for 3 other lots that we signed up for to make way for non-contingent buyers. It was even comical that one of those lots was later backed out of by the original buyer, but after we had purchased our lot. During a hot housing market, there really aren’t any risks to accepting contingent offers. It’s just as easy for those folks to sell their homes as it is to buy one here. Of course with all new construction, nothing is perfect. However, we are very pleased with overall construction and appearance of our home. [name removed] only negative is the side and back yards should be turned over to new homeowners in better condition. There are simply too many rocks and uneven ground not a grade. Extremely tricky to even walk on and totally useless to even wheel the trash cans through the back gate without them falling over.

Since the walk to home day, there were issues which remained open for almost a year. There are several unresolved issues till today. Furthermore, the after sales customer service is really bad. The staff kept on changing and the issues kept passing from one staff to another. The last director who joined (VIA) is not willing to work on the issues which were promised to be fixed by earlier customer service staff.

Quality of work is very poor for such an important downside home. My prior two new homes of much lesser value were of better workmanship quality. Purchase experience was good but workers seem to have not-my-job attitude. Throughout construction a lot of damaged, walls, floors, cabinets, wrong material, and the list goes on. Customer service is good but possibly the company needs to hire different contractors. Cleaning was horrible.

The things that are wrong should have been caught while in production. Post production customer care has been an absolute nightmare. Every neighbor is saying its been an absolutely horrible experience! No call/no shows to scheduled appointments when you finally get one setup. My list of major items wrong is near 50 with nothing getting fixed! Horrible, horrible, horrible!!!

Home design....good Sales agent...did a good job Construction....good job but paint work inside home is not upto mark.outside it is okay. There is issue with water drainage in back yard by the retaining wall .water seeping through underground pipes. Another issue I faced the moment I walked into house is bad pest issue . I can see pests crawling in kitchen area, bathroom and bedroom.my expectation is it is builders job to keep the house pest free before transfer it over to buyer . Overall experience is 6 5/10.

The build quality of the home is not up to the standard. There have been issues with AC, paint, flooring, stucco, windows, etc. However, warranty support has been good.

I liked that there were plenty of options available to choose from. I disliked how the closing was handled. We were rushed to close despite the house having lots of paint and finish issues, damage in many areas and the vast majority of our windows were (are scratched) with deep gouges. The garage door would not close due to binding which caused it to pop back open automatically. Lot's of paint all over the floor as well as overspray on several areas on the outside of the house. It felt like we were buying a fixer upper and not a new house.

We enjoyed working with [name removed] in customizing the house as she was very knowledgable. Beyond that we are extremely dissatisfied with how our home turned out. Very little from our initial walk through prior to move in has been fixed. We are missing basic door handles, window screens, basic finishing hasn't been completed, stains throughout our stairs haven't been fixed, damaged carpet hasn't been replaced, we still don't have the dishwasher we purchased, fireplace needs to be replaced. The quality of our home is similar to a fixer up and not what we expected with the amount we paid for this home. I would not recommend any friends or family to The New Home Company based on the quality of work completed thus far.

The sales agent, [name removed], was outstanding. She was super communicative, friendly, and helpful with any question we had. The entire team on frame walk and final walk through were terrific as well. Everyone seemed eager to please and genuinely excited for us to enjoy our new home. [name removed] was awesome as well. The design process can be overwhelming, but she made it pretty easy, had good suggestions we had not thought of, and went out of her way to get us a tile we wanted that was not in the original design studio. From start to finish, my experience with the New Home Company has been just fantastic.

Our home is missing many things that you would simply expect in a home of the quality that we understood we were buying. A couple examples would be medicine cabinets in the bathrooms, lack of drawers in the bath sink cabinets, no recirculating hot water pump (which we think is required in a home of the size we purchased). At our last meeting to select options, the options coordinator's computer wasn't working, so we were unable to view all of the options available. It seems to us that the coordinator should have had some sort of backup, or been able to reschedule. Options coordinator always seemed to be rushed because of an appointment that was following ours.

I am disappointed by the quality of work delivered by the trades. There are things across the home which are not right. Starting from the inconsistent knockdown pattern on the walls, flooring in bathrooms, Kitchen Counter joins being inconsistent. I can literally find finishing issues in every corner of the home, which should really be responsibilities of the trades executing these tasks to ensure the quality of these jibs are right.
