Purchase Experience Testimonials from Real Homebuyers

I do not occupy this home as it is an investment property and so far the entire warranty/construction team and sales team have been great. The only warranty claim I have had to make was with Samsung for the microwave and I’m still working through that.

My experience has been a nightmare since I paid my deposit to [name removed]. She said I could chose the fixtures in my home. The day after I paid the deposit, she said it was too late, they had already been chosen. She insisted that my home that I was selling had to be sold immediately or I would lose my new home. I rushed and sold it, then my new home was not ready on time, due to issues with the builder, [name removed]. I paid over $5000.00 to stay in a basic hotel, while my home was completed. I was rushed through my walkthrough by [name removed]. The home was dusty and dirty when I moved in. I immediately had problems with the microwave tripping the breaker box less than a month after moving in. I still do not have a microwave that works. [name removed] has ordered a new microwave, it has not arrived yet. Electricians and appliance repair have been out 6 times to attempt to repair. The lack of a microwave also means I do not have a light over my stove or a working vent over my stove, limiting my ability to cook all year. I have had to take time off from work or arrange to have someone come over to my home to accommodate workers coming to correct issues with my home numerous times. My heating and A/C has been an issue, the return vents were made too small. My understanding is that it burnt out the unit. My electric bill was extremely expensive and over $100 per month than my neighbors for several months. In March, for 3 weeks, I did not have heat or A/C, the A/C went out and when it was attempting to be repaired, it broke the heat. The temps those 3 weeks ranged from 30 to 80 degrees. I endured waking up to my home being 50 degrees to 85 degrees. [name removed] insisted they were waiting on parts. Currently, my A/C will be set on 71 degrees and it will be 77 upstairs. My front porch light worked intermittently. I was told I needed a new light bulb. The 3rd time it was checked, it was discovered it was caused by poor wiring. There have been multiple issues with things wired incorrectly in my “new” home. I have been fearful that it will cause a fire. Drainage issues were being worked on the day I moved in, water still accumulates in front of my house when it rains. I have paid for 2 home inspections to try to find all of the problems with this new home. I know that Land, Sea homes initially sold me this home and it has been the worst experience. I have previously purchased 2 new homes in my lifetime, and both times only a few small items needed to be corrected. That is what I had expected with this home purchase. Obviously, this home has failed miserably in meeting a new homes expectations. [name removed] has worked tirelesslyin trying to correct many items herself, however the builder failed made so many sloppy, negligent mistakes,I do not know how this home passed inspection. Most recently the city required that my driveway concrete be replaced and the meter pit corrected. I was told it would be 72 hours of no access to my garage, it was over a week.I want an extended warranty applied to my home.
