No one knows more about a homebuilder's quality and service than the builder's customers.

Since 1984, Eliant has been independently evaluating the performance of homebuilders across the U.S., Canada, and the Middle East:

  • We ask recent homebuyers to evaluate their builder's purchase process.
  • Then, we ask homeowners to evaluate their builder's quality and service (1) after the first 5-months in the home, and (2) again at the end of the first year.

In "Homebuilder Customer Reviews", we present the ratings and comments collected from new-home buyers at these three points in time.

The whole construction process with [name removed] was not the greatest. At the beginning things were great with [name removed] as he was great at communicating with us with any concerns but [name removed] was not the greatest and would dismiss a lot of my concerns. I will say he walked the home with me a few times and helped keep me at ease but once it was time to get close to move in a lot of things were dismissed. On the blue tape walk I told him I hope none of these blue tapes get removed just because and he said no all would be fixed, I took pictures of all blue tape and a couple days before closing I decided to bring my mom to see the house and to my surprise all blue tape was gone with nothing absolutely fixed. [name removed] dismissed it with saying a comment that once we moved in I would need to keep a brush anyways because my kids would be making way more necessary touch ups. The contract process was made easy with [name removed] and he made sure to work with us.

I loved getting weekly updates on what was getting done that week. I was able to communicate with [name removed] about anything that rose up and she responded promptly

We liked everything with the purchase experience! This was, by far, my easiest and straight forward purchase I had. There was some pushback with some very minor issues, but they were resolved quickly and were generally outside of anyone's control. Everyone was very easy and enjoyable to work with!

the construction - there were several issues that were brought up by us during construction that were not taken care of. It would have been so easy to fix the problem when we told him rather than waiting til flooring and other trades were complete. Our thoughts and concerns meant nothing

He made us feel understood and went above and beyond to get us what we wanted and needed to feel completely at ease with our purchase. We couldn't be happier with our decision to buy [name removed]. I disliked the fact that I brought an investor in that bought 2 homes and his closing costs paid for and a few other perks and I was offered nothing!!

From finding us the right model and home, coordinating with the lending team, multiple walkthroughs and detailed explanations about how the house was set up, even down to fixing the tiniest details, it has been (and continues to be) the most dedicated service all around.

Communication could have been better, questions regarding HOA were not answered prior to purchase and still have not received answers to questions … referred to Risewell finance team and had terrible communication with the team

[name removed] and [name removed] have been so incredibly helpful throughout the move-in. They walked us through the house and explained everything we need to know as new homeowners in detail. They've been incredibly quick with their responses to our questions, and they've made the overall process so easy. [name removed] was also super helpful throughout the buying process. She came over and took a picture of us and our dog in front of the house, and I'm telling you she should be a professional photographer haha. Overall, everyone's been great.

The lending process was atrocious. Title wasn’t much better. The lack of their communication to us and our agent was frustrating and disappointing. Our Risewell representative did a great job and the walk through teams were also a great experience.

Because I never encountered so many quality issue on how the indoor installation was done. It is easy to go back and review all my tickets and that is only half of what I already repaired on my own because the responsible people to come and do the repairs only can come on weekdays from 8 AM to 5 PM and I am the one who need to accommodate their schedule. I just recently learning that I can not remove anything even the simple towel ring in my bathroom because it voids the warranty to repair what I encountered after I removed the fixture which is more that one inch hole in the drywall they made when they installed it and they keep arguing with me that such hole was correctly done when you install a fixture on drywall. I am a handyman person and I know how this can be done on drywall. Moreover the person in charge of this has a very poor customer service mindset that prefers to argue with me THE CUSTOMER, than thinking in the big picture of his behavior. I lost the confidence of the expected quality of this house which IS A HUGE INVESTMENT FOR ANY FAMILY. But I guess your policies are more important than customer satisfaction.

Sales team was very friendly and willing to answer any questions or allow me to view the homes/home as many times as I wanted. I had a relator helping and at times I felt there was lack of communication between sales, lender, and relator.
