We liked the fact that the home was modern and not traditional, built with quality, the standard features that were part of the build was more than we could ever ask for and we loved that. The dislike was that we were not able to add another window or even a pool during the build, that was disappointing, but understood, but wished it could have taken place to not disrupt the neighbors or the quality of work that had been completed.

[name removed] was not ready even after I moved in. There were no regular updates from the builder/ sale agent on closing date. sale agent pushed me to do closing without the home completion which left me with only option to use preferred lender. Contract doesn’t enforce quality delivery of the home.

[name removed] was excessively delayed with poor communication and no accountability throughout. Builder closed the home on December 30th after an original contract close date of June 3rd. In the 30 days since close, the builder - [name removed] passed along my husbands name to handle the exceptions direct with the contractors. Most of the exceptions are still not resolved and the overall quality of work in some larger areas (broken cabinets covered with tape, tile cut unevenly and away from the wall, the upstairs floor not level in areas by an inch and the downstairs floor needing to be replaced entirely) and these are just a few of the issues - still unresolved. If you would like to discuss in greater detail, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Disliked Warranty experience with [name removed] on 032822. Substandard response to issue with sod installed on adjoining property impacting proper function and installation of my sprinkler system. [name removed] the warranty representative used his hands to pull sprinklers up through ground and push ground and sod away. No tools or equipment brought or used. Did not perform full function test of entire system. Refused to have landscaper or irrigation worker respond. I’m skeptical of his knowledge concerning irritation. Wouldn’t provide me with a name of supervisor to contact for escalation for resolution of workmanship or homeowner satisfaction. Unsatisfactory

No communication and sales representative [name removed] was arrogant and not at all transparent. We know there is high demand for houses which doesn’t mean that you can threaten me every time to kick me out of the contract. Most of my plans were disturbed due to no transparency. I felt like i was treated as i was getting home on mercy of someone even though i am spending huge amounts of money.

Like i said before, little details matter alot. For a house this expensive and consistency. I know the builders can do better..my [name removed] home the top windows don't have a window blinds but I see the newly built ones have it. [name removed] can have a 1/2 bath downstairs. The laundry room can be better...add a sink make it complete. The guest bathrooms is below waist level it's best if it's same level with the Master bathroom. I like that the rooms are very spacious, love the fireplace, love my kitchen island very spacious

Contract is completely one sided. Changes in the contract were never informed until we ask. Initially agent told me to let her know about the lender credit usage (like price reduction or closing) at the time of closing. But when I asked her to use that credit toward the price, she refused to update the contract. She just gave me the confirmation date only 2 weeks prior to closing and put us in a very tight situations. Only good thing happed in all these phases is builder [name removed]. He is really helpful and taking care of the things.

My wife and I purchased a new build from Trophy Signature Homes in [name removed] in November of 2020. We filed a warranty service request regarding the grading and drainage in the back yard in March of 2021. We documented standing water for days with photos, text messages with multiple employees and email correspondence in which we were advised to wait until weather conditions were dryer and the home next door was finished being built to address our concern. The home was finally completed last month and we resubmitted our drainage concern due to the marsh like nature of our back yard at the low point. You cannot walk through it without sinking down 4-5 inches into the muck, it is a breeding ground for mosquitos and wasps and it is now growing algae posing a health risk to my family and my dog. The builder has now declined our request due to modification of the landscape along the perimeter of the yard. It feels as if my concern was ignored and advised to wait until it could be denied. The issue I have is that a "solid assessment" was made at the time of the first and second complaints that I filed and our poor drainage and grading issues were acknowledged. I was advised to wait until the house next door was completed and sod was laid to help with the absorption and drainage, not that an assessment could not be made. I foolishly agreed to wait while it took another 6 months to complete the home. I should not be made to put my landscaping plans on hold, which border the perimeter of the yard and do not impede the naturally planned flow of drainage. Now the builder and warranty company will not honor their previous recommendations, and it feels as if I was tricked into waiting until it could be denied. The time in which it took them to finish the home next door is what determined the timing of my 3rd complaint, not the wet or dry season... I could have brought my concern back up in May, June or July as the trees were not planted until August 7th.

The sales process (taking our earnest money) was the only thing in the entire process that went smoothly. Communication after that day was bumpy at best. We rarely got correct information regarding our home during the building process We were delayed a few times which caused a domino affect for us and for our home buyers and their home buyers, etc. The home was not ready for our walk through - it was very dirty throughout and the drywall and paint and hardwood floors were terrible. We added it to the list to be fixed but and paint and drywall and hardwood floors were still a mess after closing. I cannot believe that a builder would close a home in the state that our home was in. There is so much drywall errors paint missing everywhere and just plain sloppiness through this home, it is an embarrassment to show other people. Every room in the house still needs attention. I feel that this surveys purpose is to give someone a gold star but hopefully something is done for future buyers. You promise a superior product at a premium w all upgrades included however we did not experience this at all. My hope is that the one time touch up throughout my home will help change my feelings toward Trophy Signature Homes.

I signed my home contract in mid-July 2020. I was given an approximate closing date of Feb 28, 2021. My closing date was changed 3 times. Eventually the closing happened on May the 21st on a sub par finished product. Throughtout the 10 months construction ordeal, 5 construction managers([name removed], [name removed], [name removed], [name removed] & [name removed]) were changed. How can you provide & ensure quality when something changes hands so many times. The House sat in stage 5 , 6, 7 for a month and a half each. From stage 7 thru closing, it was rushed in 2 weeks with multiple items & finishes remaining as i also had to get moved in because everything around my life was in limbo because of closing dates kept getting pushed out. I had to extend my mortgage rate lock period twice & had to pay out of pocket for each extension even though i had locked my rate in late march since i was given 2nd closing date for April after Feb 28th date was not met. I had to do my leased back home extension twice costing me my deposit plus extra payment for 2nd extension. The overall experience has been not short of a nightmare. Following are Snipbit of issues based on my memory, might be missing alot more. 1). Upon signing of contract, I was rushed to select bricks and interior options witin a couple of days of signing which i did, however come January 2021, i was told the brick i choose is no longer available so i will have to select a new brick & that was mentioned to me after my continuous inquiries of why the house is not past moving the drywall stage. Apparently the builder told sales person in November & i was not notified until January. Anyways, i selected the brick from only 4 possible options & 3 were hideous. 2) Back in October/November i had seen the electricl wiring being done for AC unit & i saw that i was given a single 5 ton unit for a 3800 sq ft house while other houses before mine even with a smaller square footage. To which i was shrugged off that from my house onwards all houses are getting the smaller units. In my house now, everytime the AC compressor turns on, the light blink clearly pointing to lack off proper electrical dimensioning. 3)Closing date was moved twice & the sales manager was not forth coming, transparent & proactive about y situation. All responses were reactive to my multiple inquiries because i knew and could see every week that things for my home were not moving correctly while other house in the same community built bu Trophy are completing before mine while there foundation was laid 2 - 3 months after mine. Current Issues 1)In the evening, when lights are turned on, everytime the AC compressor turns on the lights of home blink. It is the worst of the feelings and clearly points to inadequate electrical usage support. I will be opening a ticket on this one along with some others. 2). Laundary room fuse keeps tripping randomly in particular when washer or dryer are turned on. The biggest problem is the broadband hook up is in laundary room & everytime the fuse trips, the internet service goes down. Sometimes it happens multiple times a day. Will be opening a ticket for that as well. 3). Outside sprinkler system not functioning properly. The tree and plants bed dying because of water not getting to them. Will be including them in the ticket as well. 4). Foundation/slab in the garage aleady showing crakes. 5). Double garage door stops randomly in the middle of the operation and gets stuck. WIll be opening a ticket for that as well. 6) The craftsman ship & finishing done by trades has been subpar at best. Dry wall is the worst i have seen in a house. There are mutiple creases/wrinkles through out the house even after the builder got some major ones fixed. 7). Paint job has not been the best on the wall. There are patches of paints visible in day light usually & it can be seen that paint was done poorly or patch work was performed later. 8). Backyard is uneven because when the sod was laid out it was raining and trades kept going in backyard & the whole yard has uneven surface & not ideal for running as you can trip easily. P.S: Alot of issue are still remaining to be worked at. This review is not for the current construction person [name removed] and is neither for [name removed]. They both have been very willing to work with me & helping me out with the unfinished tasks and salvage whatever is possible from the mess left by previous construction managers, and the previous area manager. If Trophy signature homes really care about their customer honest feedback then please address all the issues still out there or new ones appearing. There are still multiple items left to be completed & i am looking forward for [name removed] & [name removed] help in resolving them in a timely manner so i can try and get on with my life with some normalcy.

Likes: We had a wonderful experience working with [name removed]! She was very helpful, patient and accommodating when we visited the model home (twice) during a short weekend trip from New Jersey to house hunt. She walked us through the model and provided us with an information packet to ensure that we understood the benefits and features of Trophy homes and the [name removed] community. She helped us determine which floor plan would work for our family and even suggested some much welcomed interior/exterior decor ideas. As a neighbor, her professionalism and customer service has extended beyond the purchase experience by sharing community updates and assisting us with a HOA concern. We're happy to have her as a [name removed] neighbor! [name removed] was such a joy to work with during our new home buyer walk/orientation and the final walk-thru! He was extremely thorough, funny and engaging while explaining the many features of our home. We felt comfortable asking him tons of questions because he never made us feel that he had any place to be except with us. :) He ensured that every item on the purchaser walk-thru form was addressed and any other issue after the closing. Dislikes: Our biggest dislike was during the underwriting process with [name removed] [name removed]. Although, we had a pleasant experience working with [name removed] and would highly recommend him personally, the underwriting process was less than stellar. Having had our loan since June/July 2020, we were put in a comprising situation to be told two weeks before our closing date that they could not get the deal done. We had to pay a fee to extend the closing date, worked non-stop with a new lender for two weeks straight and almost lost the property due to their lack of and/or untimely communication or understanding of self-employment guidelines.

My builder [name removed] was amazing and he always listens and tried to go above and beyond to help us out. The quality of the home is however was very poor. The upstairs flooring quality is really bad and there is still an outstanding work order to come fix several nail pops in various spots. Also, we are discovering more issues everyday including bad/poor quality handles and locks, paint blemishes, cabinet and switch misalignment, nicks and dents, etc. Also, despite sending someone out, the airflow balance is still off. Several areas in the house gets very hot (such as the guest room downstairs) while others get unusually cold such as the master bedroom downstairs. Also, a mistake was made with my realtor credit and everything wasn’t applied to my closing fees. I only discovered this after we moved in and I was told nothing could be done at that time. Overall, my experience was average (not the worst but not great either).

Overall, my experience was average (not the worst but not great either).

both the builder and after sales are not helping close the issues rather than escaping, cabinets, recommend looking at the history from closing, too little has been done.

The warranty service reps have been very responsive. The craftsmanship of our home is the issue. There are so many things we keep finding that we’re missed and done subpar. From brickwork to drywall to paint, even the cleaning was rushed and not completed.

Driveway pad was damaged by sub-contractor and Trophy refuses to replace entire driveway to completely match. Building supervisor has left the company and no one has been in touch.
