Purchase Experience Testimonials from Real Homebuyers

Like: sales people [name removed] and [name removed] were amazing. I loved their willingness to help me with anything I needed or asked for. Dislike: the loan process was very complicated causing me to want to withdraw and go with another builder or lender. There was not consistency or effective communication from my loan officer. The beginning was good but the middle and end was not.

Trophy Homes does seem to want to satisfy our concerns.
Celina, on Jul 28, 2024
I guess I will see once they come for the 6 months or the 12 months warranty.
Celina, on Jul 16, 2022
Paint job is unsatisfactory. Cracks on cement in garage. Outdoor plants died when I moved. Puddle of standing water in backyard side of house. I complained and landscaper fill in some sand and corrected the issue with the sprinkler not distributed evenly to the appropriate areas
Celina, on Apr 24, 2024
Warranty team is great!. However more attention could have been payed during construction process itself to avoid such warrantable items.
Celina, TX, on Mar 29, 2024
Everything went smooth and was actually done a couple weeks early.
Celina, on Feb 16, 2022
The warranty service took a while to get the standing water in my lawn next to the foundation of my home. Mosquitoes were breeding water in the lawn, and after so many complaints it was resolved by having the maintenance come over to add dirt and covered it up with new bermuda grass.

Through the home warranty we have been trying to have trophy repair the negative slope on the right side of the house. From the front of the house to the gate, we have a negative slope drainage. Rain/water runs towards the gate. Several emissaries have been sent to convince us that everything is fine based on their word. On a good note, they have taken care of everything else. The negative slope could have been resolved early on if the builder have taken the time to inspect project and subcontractors. Making sure it is done is not enough. It needs to be done right. Our home is a huge investment and we expect construction to audited and inspected to assure a quality final product.

All Trophy representatives have been great! [name removed] (sales rep) and [name removed] (construction manager) we’re both very knowledgeable and communicative.
Celina, on Jan 26, 2022
Warranty services have not played in our favor during the two times we needed it. Once for a broken garage door and another issue with plumbing due to construction debris.
Celina, on Mar 01, 2022
I couldn’t change my paint color 4 months after selecting it and way before paint went in the house.
Celina, TX, on Jan 17, 2024
the buying process is pretty smooth, I like it and appreciate it
Celina, on Nov 28, 2021
The warranty service website was easy to use. I received acknowledgement of my request within 24 hours and resolution with quick turnaround. Easy and efficient.
Celina, TX, on Dec 27, 2023
I loved how energy efficient the home is and the I totally love how the Trophy signature homes closing agent ([name removed]- [name removed] [name removed], [name removed], TX-75009) worked with us through the closing and any teeny weeny request after the closing. He made sure ok our concerns are addressed and constant following up with us and ensuring the quality of the home
Lavon, on Nov 01, 2021
Warranty service/customer care experience is excellent. The issues that have come up is due to the lack of interest and attention of the builder to detail. The quality of materials is good and overall quality acceptable. Recommend Trophy to train their builders on how to manage subcontractors and look at details. This could save money and reduce waste.
Celina, TX, on Dec 18, 2023
I am happy with the floor plan I got and build quality. Appreciate [name removed] (Construction manager) for keeping up his commitments and quick responses.
Lavon, on Sep 30, 2021
They came through in the end but some of the issues I inherited on move in should have been the builders responsibility, not mine. Overall they came through and fixed my fence which was my number 1 issue
Celina, TX, on Dec 11, 2023
Really appreciate quick communication from sales agent([name removed] cahoonne) . Thanks to her. Remaining everything is straight
Celina, on Aug 28, 2021
There are two open items that have yet to be resolved since I closed on the home, despite my numerous attempts to follow-up. They are very simple items that are just being avoided.
Celina, TX, on Nov 29, 2023
There was so much of back and forth before closing due to the issues found during inspection. We still see the same issues. Apart from that everything went really well
Celina, TX, on Oct 16, 2023
Everything was great, but after moving in there are some slightly significant issues. We have a sound of water running in master bathroom. The lights are not at equal heights over bathroom counters, and wish there weren’t bumps and dips in yard. The garage door is loud.
Celina, TX, on Sep 01, 2023
Quality of materials continues to decline over time - a close friend who purchased a trophy home just a mile away a few months ago had a lot more high quality items installed in their home - more and bigger windows through the house, installed wood window blinds in all the windows, higher quality tiles used in bathroom, etc.
Celina, TX, on Dec 21, 2021
Closing date was moved multiple times . One time change should be fine. Multiple times is not good, suggesting to plan well in advance for any challenges and give one final date. Apart from that everything went good and am satisfied with builder and sales agent and their support and responses.
Celina, TX, on Nov 27, 2021
The loan application process was difficult and unprofessional. The closing was very unsettling after it had been moved back several times causing issues with my movers and the buyer of the home I was selling. Also I still have many ticket items to be fixed by the builder that were opened since closing and still have not been addressed. [name removed] sure if I'm going to need to get a lawyer.
Celina, TX, on Nov 02, 2021
[name removed] adjusting the pricing which was marked above the valuation
Celina, TX, on Oct 16, 2021
Living room and kitchen too small. [name removed] enough room to put dinette set as they are too close together. Kitchen cabinets are not wide and deep enough. Guest bathroom too small. Master bathroom has no hand towel bar. Backyard sod has weeds growing all over. Left a couple of messages with [name removed] with no answer…I had the feeling he doesn’t like me.
Celina, TX, on Oct 03, 2021
We didn't have the correct countertops when we moved in . It took about 4 weeks for them to be installed.
Celina, TX, on Sep 28, 2021
The “goal posts” were moved on us multiple times whether it be related to which phase the home could be sold in (total stall maneuver to get a higher asking price) or moving the close date three times (due to avoidable construction delays). Our initial sales consultant ([name removed]) was awesome and a huge reason we were so diligent. Once she was promoted, our new sales consultant ([name removed]) was far less accessible or eager to help. The build quality and attention to detail (or lack there of) is lacking considerably given the sales price of $420,000. We have had to make numerous “upgrades” that should be standard in our price point.
Celina, TX, on Aug 17, 2021
We had multiple sales people that we dealt with throughout the buying and construction process. Constantly switching sales people was not the issue, the issue was the difference in service that was provided by each person. One was outstand and sent weekly updates with pictures. However, when he left, the next person rarely sent updates, never sent pictures, and was difficult to reach. The inconsistency between sales people was a bit frustrating early in the process.
