I liked the quality of the insulation and the appliances; the home is definitely energy-efficient. Past warranty requests have been satisfactorily dealt with, but during the one year inspection today there were some things that the inspector noted that should not occur with such a new home such as nail popping in the ceilings causing paint to fall off, unlevel foundation in parts of the house, and moisture in the walls. I will be submitting a request today to have those taken care of.

The home is nice. It meets all of our needs. The upgraded appliances are nice. My main disappointments are with the furnishings. Most of the cabinet doors are loose and the screw holes have been stripped out. A few doors are cracked. The contractor used to install the sprinklers and sod did a very poor job. Irrigation lines are sticking out above the sod in multiple places. There are hundreds of stones that the sod was laid on top off. This cause high spots the are trip hazards and are not suitable for the sod to take to and just dies. The drainage could definitely use some work. Water collects and pools up for days. The 2nd floor bonus room floor is sagging. There is a noticeable decline in the floor. The floor in the 2nd floor bedroom above the garage does not feel firm. You can shake the whole room if you bounce in the middle of the room. Overall, we are happy with our purchase. We just wish a little more attention to detail was taken. Hopefully the flooring will be fixed soon.

Slow & insincere, unless you’re going to [name removed]. The guy that was in charge of overseeing the build of our home is incompetent, in our opinion. The craftsmanship on the home is terrible, and everything is crooked. They would’ve left several more things incomplete, if we had turned a blind eye, than they did. Literally, everything has noticeable imperfections. We are incredibly disappointed in the overall product that we received at closing 6 months ago. We are still hopeful that the warranty guys uphold their end & get some of our issues resolved. Until they do, I cannot fill this out any differently.

The builder trying to hide things that needed to be fixed in the house. The lack of urgency when it come to issues like the windows were not installed properly, there was a boot missing from the ceiling that let water into our attic. Why would they delay? I mean that’s asking for water damage. [name removed] to mention, the contractor we walked around with was so rude.

The timing was delayed, so we had to live in a hotel w/ our teenage son and three dogs for two weeks; that was challenging. I had Alamo [name removed] Company (we've used them for years) on [name removed] in Fort Worth, who offered to facilitate the closing paperwork at her office for FREE. [name removed] [name removed] [name removed] refused to transfer the paperwork, so we had to drive all the way to Dallas, which pushed back our move-in by one day. It would have been so much easier on all of us not to lose that Monday. I had to take off work on Wednesday, too, just to unpack. [name removed] was not the best communicator with our loan officer. [name removed]'s office sent lots of documents to them to ensure funding would be quick, but they didn't read/respond to the emails. We didn't get out of there for over an hour, and I had the Spectrum technician coming at 1pm after closing. The short of it is that it was more stressful, and it didn't need to be. We had our final walk-thru Feb 25, and there was a hole in the front bathroom tub that was not there on Monday for our orientation. I also found a crack in one of our Master shower subway tiles beneath the seat, some chips in our engineered wood flooring before moving in, paint drips, a few small holes around outlet fixtures, etc. It's a new home; we've never owned a new home before. I know that we were rushed because our house sold so quickly, but it would have been nice to have everything finished before moving in. We love the community here; [name removed], [name removed], and [name removed] are very nice. The HOA ladies seem lovely. It would be nice if the construction trucks wouldn't park in the middle of the street, so residents could easily leave for work/school in the am as well. :)

Only problem I’ve been having is that my ceiling fans turn on by themselves including the lights, Doesn’t function properly. Our Ac unit sometime takes like 2-3 hours to kick on and cool down our house even though we set it on cool for a low temperature. Shouldn’t take that long for a new home.

Quick response although there are a couple outstanding items that still need to be completed. Also there is still an issue with an extremely sharp edge on the bottom of our stove. I was told I had to contact the manufacturer but cannot reach them although I have tried many times. One time I stayed on hold over one hour and no one ever answered.

Several obvious defects throughout the home were brought to the attention of the sales rep and the builder. A portion have been resolved but several are still not fixed after a month and others were seemingly brushed off. Most notably, the deformations with the kitchen island wall/baseboard, the office wall/baseboard, and the pantry door hitting the countertop when opened. When addressing the eyesore regarding the kitchen island, I was told I had no choice but to accept it. Had the contract not already been signed, that statement alone would have been more than enough for me to take my business elsewhere.

I have enjoyed our new home very much. I am compiling a list of things that I will need to turn into the warranty department... cracks that have appeared at places in the walls (does not speak to the best quality of work), doors that won't close correctly, drafty windows, and a continuous problem with my master toilet (that I've already put in warranty requests for multiple times), but the requests are always handled quickly and everyone I've dealt with during those processes has been very friendly.

I wouldn't wish this process for anyone, and I am not the type of person to whine and complain since I manage sales myself and I know how difficult it can be with 3rd parties and whatnot, but hopefully someone reads this and gives an inkling of a damn bc every neighbor I've talked to shared a similar experience.

The purchase experience itself (the process of buying the home) was pleasant. Everyone was helpful. We had a problem, however, with the shower window in the master bedroom that we identified over a month before closing. This problem was not full addressed before closing (the builder thought it was the tiling, but it was actually the window that was crooked). Now that we know it is the window, the builder is trying to correct the problem. It's been somewhat frustrating in that aspect because we still cannot use our shower. The builder, however, has been very responsive to our other needs.

There was never a time where we felt like we were caught off guard or were not going to receive the home that we expected. [name removed] and [name removed] at [name removed] are a bit rough around the edges and came off as a bit rude which almost made us walk away from purchasing the home. We are glad that we ended up going with Trophy, but they could use a bit of training in customer service.
