The person responding to us has been prompt and great. This complaint is about the house. The overall quality of the house is anything but TROPHY. Multiple things have broken. The HEAT stopped working the 1st day we needed to use it. We still have not gotten the garage door that was promised. Towel racks have fallen off, things were properly calked, etc. etc.

Being told if I wanted a home with quality craftsmanship, go to trophy. Also, I have no choice but to accept the obvious defects with the home. The numerous repairs and the numerous requests for repairs being denied.

The experience was mostly favorable. The house is in great shape even though there are some things that just didn't work out. I'm going to stick with the dislikes. It was difficult to get [name removed] to answer things during the home building process. We would have to follow up multiple times or show up to the office in order to get answers. With this type of a process and not going through a new build like this that was hard. The lack of customization was unfavorable. We wanted to move an outlet before wiring, and it wasn't possible to do. We also wanted to just have the vinyl flooring extended into the bedroom and offered to pay for it and were told no. I understand things going on, but labor and materials were available for both items and wouldn't be that hard to complete.

The painting in the rooms is poorly done. The cabinet doors are breaking apart. The hvac system was wired incorrectly. The yard is low quality.

Literally one of the worst built homes. Terrible craftsmanship all around & a true lack of supervision during the build is incredibly apparent in all aspects of our build. We will NEVER own another “Trophy Signature” home as long as we live. Our anticipations of this being a forever home was instantly removed just before closing when it became clear that this company, or the supervisors, do not take pride in their builds, and that they’re only built to hold up during the warranty period.

Working with [name removed] and [name removed] in the sales office was great. Working with BHome was fine; we didn't really have a choice and it was impersonal, but it was fine. We knew we were buying an entry-level production home and that we should not expect any more than mediocre materials and finish work on kitchen and bathrooms, etc. We are a bit disappointed as we settle in to see that the materials used and finish work are sub-par at best. Specifically, the countertops in the bathroom are already staining/marking with normal use and following the posted cleaning guidelines. We were told they were quartz, and to clean them as such, but they are not quartz. We have been no direction on how to address this and see having to replace them in the near future.

AC has stopped working twice in under a year of living there. The yard has virtually no dirt. It’s all rock and incredibly uneven - looks like I have a pond in my backyard every time it rains. Pulled up a 300lb boulder that was sitting not even one inch below the grass. There is no emergency service line. It was 100+ degrees out when my AC broke the first time. Had to wait 4 days for Tempo to come service it and no one from Trophy was reachable because it was a weekend. I was told there should have been someone “on call.”

[name removed] has been very responsive to each of my warranty requests. I did just discover that there is no warranty on my fence, which already has cracks in it. I don’t know why the same one-year warranty wouldn’t apply. The same caveat could be applied as with every other item in the home - if the homeowner is responsible for the damage, then the warranty would be invalidated. But to not stand by the quality of the fence for one year doesn’t seem appropriate. Thank you.

The back draft damper on the vent from the microwave let's in a ton of air and when the HVAC guy came to look at it he said that it's an issue with the part because they only install low quality components that don't provide a good seal or cover to prevent air from coming in. I think Trophy should look at upgrading this part because he told me most of his calls were from home owners with the same complaint.

Disliked the continual movement of walk through and closing dates. This caused us to miss a memorial for family covid victims and generated substantial animosity towards Trophy management. The insensitivity was appalling.

[name removed] has been great to work with. That is the only positive thing I can say. Aside from him, your warranty system is a dumpster fire. There is zero transparency with the customer. When a warranty item is submitted, there is no ticket number shared with the homeowner, and no portal to check for updates. There is no way to know if it is being worked or not except to call your number, and the person there (if they even answer) never has any clue about it. It's always the same answer that they will have to call [name removed] to find out, which rarely yields any kid of response. We never know if the warranty item will be handled by [name removed] or by [name removed] who was the super for this particular build site. Items on our exclusions list from the walk through have not been dealt with timely, and the items that have been worked are only done so because I hounded Trophy repeatedly. After months of effort, multiple days taken off work to coordinate with the contractors, and repeated no call/no shows, I have given up on my scratched floors ever being completed.

The purchase part was fine. But since moving in, we have dealt with an infestation of ants, settling that has caused breaks in the drywall, and most disappointing our windows leak in cold air, they are misaligned, they have large gaps that allow cold air into our home. We have been cold in our home unless we set the thermostat in the mid 70's. We have also had massive amounts of cold air blowing in from the fresh air vents that have further made our home cold. We walked through some Trophy Homes under construction on Volente on Christmas Day while the temperatures were cold and wind was blowing. The windows in these homes did not leak cold air. They were properly aligned and had no gaps for cold air to penetrate. In order to do a temporary "fix" on our windows, we have had to stuff quilt batting down the sides of the window and install weather tape to block the cold air that has been blowing in. This is unacceptable. This is NOT how you advertise your homes on your website.

I liked the quality of the insulation and the appliances; the home is definitely energy-efficient. Past warranty requests have been satisfactorily dealt with, but during the one year inspection today there were some things that the inspector noted that should not occur with such a new home such as nail popping in the ceilings causing paint to fall off, unlevel foundation in parts of the house, and moisture in the walls. I will be submitting a request today to have those taken care of.

The [name removed] loan process was the worst mortgage process we have ever experienced. We love the floorplan and location of our home. However, some of the build quality did not meet expectations and the finishings used were far lower quality than other homes we looked at in the area. The doors were hung extremely poorly. Also, the cost cutting in our phase was highly disappointing. There should be an option to extend flooring. It was a shame to throw away the carpeting and tile. [name removed], our sales Representative and [name removed], our Construction Manager were excellent.

Slow & insincere, unless you’re going to [name removed]. The guy that was in charge of overseeing the build of our home is incompetent, in our opinion. The craftsmanship on the home is terrible, and everything is crooked. They would’ve left several more things incomplete, if we had turned a blind eye, than they did. Literally, everything has noticeable imperfections. We are incredibly disappointed in the overall product that we received at closing 6 months ago. We are still hopeful that the warranty guys uphold their end & get some of our issues resolved. Until they do, I cannot fill this out any differently.

The builder trying to hide things that needed to be fixed in the house. The lack of urgency when it come to issues like the windows were not installed properly, there was a boot missing from the ceiling that let water into our attic. Why would they delay? I mean that’s asking for water damage. [name removed] to mention, the contractor we walked around with was so rude.

The process was very easy compared to other home purchases I have made in the past (I have built 4 new homes). Commitments were either met or achieved. Original close date was in November and we actually closed on October 14th. Communication channels were always open ([name removed] and [name removed] were always available to answer any questions) and [name removed] was always happy to run up to the property and snap a few photos. Covid impacts made this experience different as we waited several weeks to contract on a house as Trophy was only releasing 2 houses a week for contract and the price increased ~$5000 every couple of weeks. No design center and no custom upgrades made the purchase even easier.

Only problem I’ve been having is that my ceiling fans turn on by themselves including the lights, Doesn’t function properly. Our Ac unit sometime takes like 2-3 hours to kick on and cool down our house even though we set it on cool for a low temperature. Shouldn’t take that long for a new home.

Our experience with [name removed] & [name removed] showing us homes and working through the process of going under contract through closing and any issues past closing has been exceptional. Their readiness and availability to easily get in contact and help us with any issues was a great benefit to us during the process. The closing process with the title company was disappointing as they were unable to answer any of our direct questions and just referred us back to the builder. It did not seem they had any knowledge of the homes, neighborhood, or even much of the terminology in the contract itself. However, just before and after the closing date working with [name removed] to walk-through the home and identify issues was exceptional. It was very easy to see how [name removed] went above and beyond to address each and every one of our concerns, no matter what they were. Throughout the month following our closing we had great ongoing communication with [name removed] and he quickly resolved any outstanding issues. [name removed] has checked in with us to make sure nothing else has come up and eagerly worked to get information from vendors for some of our home equipment we felt were missing some documentation. We felt very well taken care of by [name removed] as well as [name removed] & [name removed].

I have enjoyed our new home very much. I am compiling a list of things that I will need to turn into the warranty department... cracks that have appeared at places in the walls (does not speak to the best quality of work), doors that won't close correctly, drafty windows, and a continuous problem with my master toilet (that I've already put in warranty requests for multiple times), but the requests are always handled quickly and everyone I've dealt with during those processes has been very friendly.

Quick response although there are a couple outstanding items that still need to be completed. Also there is still an issue with an extremely sharp edge on the bottom of our stove. I was told I had to contact the manufacturer but cannot reach them although I have tried many times. One time I stayed on hold over one hour and no one ever answered.

Generally speaking, the experience has been good. The Trophy home built next to me (after I moved in) cause a significant amount of building debris on my side of the fence/ yard while they were building. I have asked (now) 4 times for that to be cleaned up.

The correct garage door has not been installed yet. There is a garage door, but we were told it was a temporary one. The construction manager told me that Trophy has no control over when the correct door will be shipped from the manufacturer. Yet, new homes not yet closed have the same garage door installed as our house is supposed to have. In my mind, either it was never supposed to have that particular garage door or it is hoped we will say never mind. I will persist in bringing it to the attention of someone with the authority to get it correct.

The home is nice. It meets all of our needs. The upgraded appliances are nice. My main disappointments are with the furnishings. Most of the cabinet doors are loose and the screw holes have been stripped out. A few doors are cracked. The contractor used to install the sprinklers and sod did a very poor job. Irrigation lines are sticking out above the sod in multiple places. There are hundreds of stones that the sod was laid on top off. This cause high spots the are trip hazards and are not suitable for the sod to take to and just dies. The drainage could definitely use some work. Water collects and pools up for days. The 2nd floor bonus room floor is sagging. There is a noticeable decline in the floor. The floor in the 2nd floor bedroom above the garage does not feel firm. You can shake the whole room if you bounce in the middle of the room. Overall, we are happy with our purchase. We just wish a little more attention to detail was taken. Hopefully the flooring will be fixed soon.

The home is nice. It meets all of our needs. The upgraded appliances are nice. My main disappointments are with the furnishings. Most of the cabinet doors are loose and the screw holes have been stripped out. A few doors are cracked. The contractor used to install the sprinklers and sod did a very poor job. Irrigation lines are sticking out above the sod in multiple places. There are hundreds of stones that the sod was laid on top off. This cause high spots the are trip hazards and are not suitable for the sod to take to and just dies. The drainage could definitely use some work. Water collects and pools up for days. The 2nd floor bonus room floor is sagging. There is a noticeable decline in the floor. The floor in the 2nd floor bedroom above the garage does not feel firm. You can shake the whole room if you bounce in the middle of the room. Overall, we are happy with our purchase. We just wish a little more attention to detail was taken. Hopefully the flooring will be fixed soon.

The person responding to us has been prompt and great. This complaint is about the house. The overall quality of the house is anything but TROPHY. Multiple things have broken. The HEAT stopped working the 1st day we needed to use it. We still have not gotten the garage door that was promised. Towel racks have fallen off, things were properly calked, etc. etc.

[name removed] has been very responsive to each of my warranty requests. I did just discover that there is no warranty on my fence, which already has cracks in it. I don’t know why the same one-year warranty wouldn’t apply. The same caveat could be applied as with every other item in the home - if the homeowner is responsible for the damage, then the warranty would be invalidated. But to not stand by the quality of the fence for one year doesn’t seem appropriate. Thank you.

[name removed] has been great to work with. That is the only positive thing I can say. Aside from him, your warranty system is a dumpster fire. There is zero transparency with the customer. When a warranty item is submitted, there is no ticket number shared with the homeowner, and no portal to check for updates. There is no way to know if it is being worked or not except to call your number, and the person there (if they even answer) never has any clue about it. It's always the same answer that they will have to call [name removed] to find out, which rarely yields any kid of response. We never know if the warranty item will be handled by [name removed] or by [name removed] who was the super for this particular build site. Items on our exclusions list from the walk through have not been dealt with timely, and the items that have been worked are only done so because I hounded Trophy repeatedly. After months of effort, multiple days taken off work to coordinate with the contractors, and repeated no call/no shows, I have given up on my scratched floors ever being completed.

Slow & insincere, unless you’re going to [name removed]. The guy that was in charge of overseeing the build of our home is incompetent, in our opinion. The craftsmanship on the home is terrible, and everything is crooked. They would’ve left several more things incomplete, if we had turned a blind eye, than they did. Literally, everything has noticeable imperfections. We are incredibly disappointed in the overall product that we received at closing 6 months ago. We are still hopeful that the warranty guys uphold their end & get some of our issues resolved. Until they do, I cannot fill this out any differently.

The builder trying to hide things that needed to be fixed in the house. The lack of urgency when it come to issues like the windows were not installed properly, there was a boot missing from the ceiling that let water into our attic. Why would they delay? I mean that’s asking for water damage. [name removed] to mention, the contractor we walked around with was so rude.

Only problem I’ve been having is that my ceiling fans turn on by themselves including the lights, Doesn’t function properly. Our Ac unit sometime takes like 2-3 hours to kick on and cool down our house even though we set it on cool for a low temperature. Shouldn’t take that long for a new home.

Quick response although there are a couple outstanding items that still need to be completed. Also there is still an issue with an extremely sharp edge on the bottom of our stove. I was told I had to contact the manufacturer but cannot reach them although I have tried many times. One time I stayed on hold over one hour and no one ever answered.

Literally one of the worst built homes. Terrible craftsmanship all around & a true lack of supervision during the build is incredibly apparent in all aspects of our build. We will NEVER own another “Trophy Signature” home as long as we live. Our anticipations of this being a forever home was instantly removed just before closing when it became clear that this company, or the supervisors, do not take pride in their builds, and that they’re only built to hold up during the warranty period.

AC has stopped working twice in under a year of living there. The yard has virtually no dirt. It’s all rock and incredibly uneven - looks like I have a pond in my backyard every time it rains. Pulled up a 300lb boulder that was sitting not even one inch below the grass. There is no emergency service line. It was 100+ degrees out when my AC broke the first time. Had to wait 4 days for Tempo to come service it and no one from Trophy was reachable because it was a weekend. I was told there should have been someone “on call.”

I liked the quality of the insulation and the appliances; the home is definitely energy-efficient. Past warranty requests have been satisfactorily dealt with, but during the one year inspection today there were some things that the inspector noted that should not occur with such a new home such as nail popping in the ceilings causing paint to fall off, unlevel foundation in parts of the house, and moisture in the walls. I will be submitting a request today to have those taken care of.

I have enjoyed our new home very much. I am compiling a list of things that I will need to turn into the warranty department... cracks that have appeared at places in the walls (does not speak to the best quality of work), doors that won't close correctly, drafty windows, and a continuous problem with my master toilet (that I've already put in warranty requests for multiple times), but the requests are always handled quickly and everyone I've dealt with during those processes has been very friendly.

Generally speaking, the experience has been good. The Trophy home built next to me (after I moved in) cause a significant amount of building debris on my side of the fence/ yard while they were building. I have asked (now) 4 times for that to be cleaned up.
