No one knows more about a homebuilder's quality and service than the builder's customers.

Since 1984, Eliant has been independently evaluating the performance of homebuilders across the U.S., Canada, and the Middle East:

  • We ask recent homebuyers to evaluate their builder's purchase process.
  • Then, we ask homeowners to evaluate their builder's quality and service (1) after the first 5-months in the home, and (2) again at the end of the first year.

What I liked most about my purchase experience was how seamless, supportive, and personal the entire process felt from contract through move-in. Buying a new home can be overwhelming, but I always felt informed, respected, and genuinely cared for throughout the process. The standout for me was working with [name removed] during the walkthrough and final stages. He was prepared, thorough, patient, and incredibly collaborative. He walked me through the home, reviewed the inspection items, explained the work that had been completed, and gave me the opportunity to carefully identify anything that still needed attention. What impressed me most was that [name removed] never made the process feel rushed or transactional. He took pride in the home, communicated clearly, and made me feel like my questions and concerns mattered. That level of professionalism and kindness made a major difference. I truly love my new home, and the experience from contract to move-in helped make this exciting new chapter feel even more special. I honestly do not have a major dislike to share. Any normal new-construction items were handled with care and attention, and that gave me a lot of confidence in both the home and the team behind it. did not have paint color for walls available when we moved in. had to message to get this information. got the color through email, but we have to go and buy some now to do a few touch ups. purchase experience was very easy though

I disliked the lending side of [name removed]. It was great until closing, and then things were forgotten and delayed 3 times. In the future, I would recommend for someone to choose a different lender.

The design center experience felt rushed, and we did not feel like there was enough time to fully evaluate all of the options. It would have been extremely helpful if samples, catalogs, or an online portal with available selections had been provided prior to the appointment so customers could research and narrow down choices ahead of time. Additionally, there were very few real-life photos or examples from previous homes showing the design selections installed, which made it difficult to visualize how certain finishes, colors, and upgrades would actually look together in a completed home. Having more reference photos or model home examples available would greatly improve the overall customer experience and help buyers feel more confident in their decisions.

We worked with [name removed] and [name removed] throughout our process, both were great. The only thing we were not happy with was the last minute (24 hours prior to closing) we were told about an additional $4k that we needed to pay at the time of closing for HOA. This should have been disclosed PRIOR to 24 hours before closing.
