Since 1984, Eliant has been independently evaluating the performance of homebuilders across the U.S., Canada, and the Middle East:

  • We ask recent homebuyers to evaluate their builder's purchase process.
  • Then, we ask homeowners to evaluate their builder's quality and service (1) after the first 5-months in the home, and (2) again at the end of the first year.

We enjoyed the experience in working with [name removed] as he made us feel like family throughout the entire purchase process. While this is not a purchase experience issue, our house does not have direct access to the backyard from the commonplace in front of the house forcing us to go through the neighbor's backyard to get to our own backyard with outdoor equipment that cannot fit through our main front door. Huge oversight on [name removed] Homes' end and [name removed] is not allowing any modification of the brick wall that is adjacent to the major street to allow for backyard access.

The sales team was great!!! The paint job in the home was poorly done. The baseboards are a mess, big blobs of paint in random areas, walls werent prepped.. I've address this concern and Lansea sent workers but didn't complete the job. At this point I'm just going to take care of it myself

I was told by [name removed] at Sales that J box will be out for me to easily install pendent lights and light above dining table. It did not happen and was told not included in the contract and [name removed] is no longer with the company to confirm. I could not return my lights due to time and costed me $1000.

Solar Panel Experience. Very confusing. Hate being forced to lease the Solar Panel when puchasing a new home. Understand it is a new California law but it seema like we should have an option to request for a Power Purchase Agreement, or financing the solar panels or even rollingnit into the loan.

The customer service has been good — they answer my calls and respond to my emails promptly. However, after living here for two months, I’ve noticed that the house feels like it was built in a rush with minimal quality assurance. For example, the windows are uneven in dimension from top to bottom and side to side. I also experienced an electrical wiring issue that caused unusually high energy bills during the first two months. The AC was blowing hot air, which took considerable time and frustration to identify and resolve. Additionally, the kitchen sink doesn’t drain properly, and the carpets have hard clusters that are noticeable when walking. A few electrical sockets weren’t functioning, and there were spiders in the house when I moved in — it would have been helpful if the builder had done a pest spray beforehand.
