Since 1984, Eliant has been independently evaluating the performance of homebuilders across the U.S., Canada, and the Middle East:

  • We ask recent homebuyers to evaluate their builder's purchase process.
  • Then, we ask homeowners to evaluate their builder's quality and service (1) after the first 5-months in the home, and (2) again at the end of the first year.

I like [name removed] representative [name removed] whom I worked with. She is very knowledgeable and professional. However, I am very disappointed in the quality of the home. On the final orientation day with the builders, we pointed out some paint on the wall and cabinets that needed to be touched up. They marked it but never actually fixed it. Two weeks after we moved in, our roof shingles flew off after a windy day. The warranty manager told me typically they don't have to replace it, but they would do it this time as courtesy. Given the house was done only two weeks ago and the shingles could not even withstand a windy day, it tells me they did a terrible job. Our ceiling beams are unevenly stained and clearly have water marks on every single one of them They refused to re-stain saying that restaining will not fix the problem. They hire terrible quality painters. Several of our cabinets already have chipped paint and unevenly painted. And treat our homes with excellent care! So many light fixtures have paint on it. Their paint jobs look unprofessional and worse than an inexperience person could do. And now that we live in the house, we notice the insulation is terrible. When in the bedroom, we can hear a whole conversion from the media room next to us, and there is not even a move playing, just a person is having a conversation in the next room. On top of all these, we found a bottle of urine in our attic! Overall, I love the beautiful floor plan designed by [name removed]. But [name removed] needs to reconsider the construction company they hire as well as invest in a higher quality insulation for their homes.

The microwave that should be a built in model is actually a counter top. This was verified through the Whirlpool warranty department. I have a work request to get the correct built in microwave installed.
