Seller was eager to close so pushed for early closing, then her lender had a bit of a delay but finally came through and both escrow companies went above and beyond to get it closed immediately and we will forever be grateful to them both, especially First American because they represented us to the builder.

It is difficult to rate a team or company positively when everything was pretty much automated with little to no person to person interaction. It is even worse when the customer has to learn how to navigate the system/website on their own. Even worse if the only way to message/communicate is through the system, what if a customer doesn’t know how to use it or message a question? All escrow and closing information was through a tab in the website that isn’t even the first thing the customer sees since the first is the docs to sign, then info docs, then messages. It definitely should be the other way so messages come first. And there should be some interaction to explain the website and how the team is available. The website also couldn’t even upload a doc that was within the file size limit. I definitely wouldn’t recommend a company that does not give the lender accurate closing costs and the lender is left guessing and estimating. Even the CD didn’t have accurate numbers, that is ridiculous. Also, what kind of company is unwilling to take cashier’s check or anything other than a wire even if it’s in person. That creates an additional cost to the customer and if it’s for security reasons, what is more secure than an in person transaction? Are their employees so untrustworthy that everything has to be done by wire?
